Book and Bean Coffee Shop in Sheffield

I fancied a Sausage Cob & this cafe came to my calling, it was v tasty, cooked to perfection. The 2 ladies who served & made the food were v friendly & helpful to. When I get more time, I’m definitely going to try the breakfast as it looked very good !

This is one of our favourite local little cafes. I always have the prawn cocktail which is more like a prawn salad for only £4. Today I treated myself to a bowl of lovely home cooked chips. If you are visiting the shops down Heeley, give the well known, overpriced coffee chain a miss and come and support this little local gem instead. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I called in here for lunch today. It was our first visit. All items on the menu are very reasonably priced. I ordered a bacon, brie and cranberry panini, my wife had a bowl of Greek salad. We also had a side order of chips, a large latte and a mug of tea. Together the bill came to £12.65. What a bargain! My wife said the Greek salad was the best one she has had outside Greece. My panini was also scrummy and the chips were real ones. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending "Book and Bean". Food is freshly prepared so a little extra waiting time may happen - especially if there are other customers ahead of you.

This cafe is a gem! The sandwiches are all great value and great quality and always delivered with a smile. The Coffee is excellent quality here too so you really can't go wrong. The place always has a friendly atmosphere and in particular the lady who works here (who I think is the owner) is just about as lovely as you can get. I'll be visiting for a Bacon related sandwich and a Coffee again very soon.

We had Sunday brunch here and the prices were so reasonable, but the quality of food was great too. We both went for the full English breakfast, and made a couple of changes which wasn't a problem at all. Everything was cooked fresh and was really tasty. The staff were all friendly too and it was a really homely comfortable environment. We'll definitely be back.

Nice little cafe, great value for money, overall a good experience, only one criticism is that the ham would have been better warmed on the eggs benedict, will definitely be going back, really friendly and help staff.

My sister-in-law found and recommended this place and, as her selection of husband had previously indicated, she has good taste. The interior is as simple as the exterior with the Sheffield/Henderson's art work adding some local colour. I ordered the mushroom and stilton pepper pot and mum chose the haddock fishcakes. As the food is made to order it is not speedy but I prefer a wait to tired food any day. The mushrooms were delicious, firm and fresh and the cheesy peppercorn sauce rich and spicy. The little lidded dish came with two slices of garlic bread, as an aside I would looked to have swapped the garlic bread for a chunk or two of fresh granary bread but that is only a personal preference. Mum's fishcakes and chips were crisp and hot and came with a delicious mayo dip. My brother and two little girls then joined us and the cafe very kindly spilt one quiche meal over two plates so both girls had a meal of there own. My brother was impressed with the quarter pounder he had commenting that he actually felt like he had eaten a quarter pounder unlike the feeling he gets from more global fast food outlets. The addition of Bradwell's ice cream and a couple of hot drinks and pops for the little uns bought the bill to just over £30. Not bad at all. This maybe become a Sunday regular.

Used this place a few times on a Sunday for brunch with the family and the food is constantly good (fresh home cooked food) and not over priced. The staff are always friendly and polite. The dining area and toilets have always been clean. Family's with small children are welcome. They take card payment and have free Wi-Fi.

Groupon offer of pizza with wine or beer for 2. No beer available, only lager, so we had red wine - decent. Pizzas were OK but we suspected not cooked in an authentic oven. After we had finished we were not asked if we wanted desserts or coffee. Don't they want to make a profit?

Loved this place very clean, Food and service was great and great value for money i would highly recommend the book and bean coffee shop!

Lovely clean little café with beautiful coffee and a great full English certainly beats cost a lot coffee. We will definitely be going again to try cake and other things on the menu.

Called in while passing for breakfast this morning, will be again when in the area. Had a full English and everything was cooked to perfection and presented with care, friendly service and will definitely be a regular visitor.

We enjoyed 2 full English breakfasts and a very tasty hot chocolate and coffee in this cosy and inviting cafe. Staff were lovely and the service was friendly and quick. There was some great local art work on the walls which would make an ideal Xmas present and a good excuse to visit again soon!

Eggs are amazing so is the fried bread news papers to read loads to choose from will be returning with my wife lovey setup enjoyed all of it

I use the Book and Bean regularly - often following a shopping trip to the range of shops on Chesterfield Road/retail park. The service is always attentive and friendly. There is a mix of 'breakfast-based' items plus snacks and more filling meals. I've tried many items from the menu and they're all fantastic value. The cafe is clean with interesting decor, and there are usually newspapers available to read.

Entré en esta cafetería, impresionado por su menú. Está situado en una calle muy transitada (enfrente de un parque comercial y el enemigo natural de la indie_nus Cafe - una Costa) pero mantiene un aire de una joya escondida.

Mi familia y yo hemos visitado en varias ocasiones y siempre me ha impresionado con la comida, en especial sus tartas caseras y la relación calidad-precio. Tienen siempre un alto nivel de servicio. Mi hijo de 3 años siempre aspira a visitar el café como un regalo!

So friendly and so reasonably priced with no compromise of quality. A sofa or cushions on chairs would be icing on cake here.

Hemos estado aquí un par de veces. Primera visita fue genial con un personal encantador, unos deliciosos huevos Benedict, e incluso un libro para leer mientras espera. Segunda visita bien lo que sucedió en la tierra ... horrible bocata rápido y brusco servicio de huevo frito. Realmente quiero apoyar las inquietudes locales, pero han sido desanime.

Mi marido y yo 3 niños todos tuvimos un 2 desayuno inglés completo de comida fantástica que era tan buena relación calidad-precio y preparada con productos ... Los niños tenían distintas comidas que eran todos preciosos también sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos en el futuro. Bien hecho un gran servicio y empleados x

Mi novio y yo fuimos para un desayuno tardío, el personal era encantador. Tuve huevos escalfados que cocinadas exactamente cómo pregunté y me dieron mi novio extra salchichas en lugar de champiñones en su inglés completo aunque sólo pedimos granos extra! Sin duda alguna, deliciosa comida y : -)

Had a full English breakfast with free range eggs, very good sausage and very very tasty. The green tea was very good and very polite and immaculate cleanliness. Will be back

Muy buen café, y un menú variado. tartas caseras y desayuno durante todo el día eran muy agradables y bien preparado, la calidad de sus ingredientes y una excelente relación calidad-precio. El personal era muy amable. Lo recomiendo sin duda alguna. Si tenían algunos sofás, bizcochos y algunos más, sería mi café favorito!

La familia excelente run cafe . Bonita decoración con pinturas y cuadros locales. Visitamos esta mañana, los propietarios son agradables, sin ser intrusivos y la comida era muy buena. Teníamos dos desayunos y dos grandes capuchinos , alrededor de £14 así que una buena relación calidad-precio y la calidad de los ingredientes era de noch . Volveré a probar el menú del almuerzo y ofertas especiales.

Sólo recientemente inaugurado y, sin duda, vale la pena una visita. Tienen una buena selección de sandwiches y cafés pero también tienen otras sorpresas, fajitas, hamburguesa y tarta! Sin mencionar un buen desayuno durante todo el día. Familia y niños, y sillas altas, y estarán bien atendidos por Sue (el dueño) No dejes que esto te desanime aparcamiento porque está en la carretera principal, realmente merece la pena una visita.
