We’ve been here a few times for sandwiches, today we thought we would try the Brie, bacon and cranberry paninis. I can honestly say it’s the worst panini I’ve ever had. The bacon was really very fatty and cold. Both of us only ate one mouthful and then had to remove all the bacon. The lady behind the counter was very busy so I didn’t feel able to complain.

I am fairly new to the area and was looking for a place that prepared fresh light food and came across Sandwich Phillers. Their sandwiches are absolutely delicious and freshly prepared while you wait, I would also recommend their omelette which are simply delicious. The service is always friendly and welcoming

Been to Phillers a few times now and Dee the owner always has vegan options in stock. Had the best vegan full English breakfast with hashbrowns, vegan sausages, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and toast. Also had the vegan chilli with rice and the vegan sandwiches that Dee can make in minutes are incredible! None of these are on the menu so just ask when you go in what is available and Dee will make sure you are looked after. There are a few different vegan milks available also for a great coffee. I always pop in whenever I'm passing through the town. Highly recommend to anyone who has dietary requirements.

We popped in for a quick sandwich and ended up being there for three hours talking with the customers and staff. I loved the menu with names of sandwiches like ‘Boy George’, ‘Pavarotti’ and ‘Lorraine Kelly’. I chose a ‘Holly Golightly’ which included bacon, chicken and avocado on the freshest of bread and very generously proportioned. My wife had a toasted sandwich, cheese and tomato which she said she liked. Next to the ‘Holly Golightly’ I saw there was a ‘Mr T’. Who was the male lead opposite Audrey Hepburn (Holly Golightly) in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’? George Peppard. Who was Mr T’s leader in ‘The A Team’? George Peppard. I was expecting that the seasoning was going to be ‘salt and Peppard’....but it wasn’t.

A nice little Cafe (Diner) situated on the main street. Great tasty food, good portions, quick, efficient and helpful service plus competitive pricing - they ticked all of my boxes. Gold star recommendation. Why did they lose 1 point? ..... Well, like most Cafes or Sandwich Bars, nothing was provided to deposit your used teabags and ketchup sachets in or on ☹️ (see my pic bottom right). This inevitably can leave the table looking a bit of a tip during your visit. Very easy to keep the customers' table tidy - simply provide them with a saucer, side plate or a small bowl for their soggy rubbish - job done. 😀 We’ll definitely be going back however 🍔

A wide range of sandwiches and hot meals. Seating is limited but most customers want to take away. Good for breakfast and lunch. The sandwich bar serves the residents and business community in Faringdon. It will do sandwich platters for business meetings.

What amazing sandwiches, with the softest freshest bread and your choice of filling, and plenty of filling too. Tired of going to chain coffee houses and picking up a sandwich full of nothing well come here instead, they truly pack their sandwiches full. The fillings are fresh and tasty, you can choose what you want and they make it for you there and then, they do have some combination suggestions to help if you cant make your mind up, my favorite is chicken, bacon and avocado, while the other half loves his simply cheese and onion, but they happily make both for us. You pay about the same as you would in a branded coffee house or sandwich shop, but get twice as much for your money. We even take detours just so I can have one of their yummy sandwiches, a must try.

Wandering around Faringdon and the kids were chirping for food. Didn't want a big meal as were out for dinner that night. Popped into this little gem of a place for a sandwich only to be presented with a round of sandwiches each that filled the plate! Fresh fillings and soft bread meant we were all stuffed. Saved on starters that night and will definitely be back

This has been a regular haunt for the past 2 months, you see it being prepared , you choose what you want from the menu on the wall or if you are difficult like me they will customise your filling, mine? Blue cheese & coleslaw on white, try it. PS. The chilli sauce needs reinforcing.

We paid a visit to the new Diner that launched last Saturday in the Sandwich Phillers cafe London street and what a nice welcome we had, it was nice to see them adding the new service to there already popular sandwiches and to see the new layout with a jukebox, we had the burger and fries and I must say it was well made and at a very reasonable price, I think they are now open till 8 pm so good luck to Julie and the team with the new Diner and we will be back very soon.Name Supplied

Been coming here for over 10 years. Always fresh sandwiches. John has recently sold up and is now under new management. Sadly there has been one change I noticed which isn't for the best, mango chutney mixed in with the chicken tikka. I'm a little gutted lolGood luck to the new guys they are trying hard

Half the population finds its way to Sandwich Phillers, an unpretentious, but excellent local cafe. The food is freshly made to order and totally delicious. John the owner is a professional chef and really knows his stuff: he is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I eat there several times during the week. There is a 'special" sandwich and/or soup every day which is cheap and innovative. Although primarily a sandwich shop, there are tables for customers with a little time on their hands. This establishment is thoroughly recommended. The shop is closed for a week at present - John is on his annual, well-deserved holiday.

Takeaway visit early this morning to beat the crowds. Shelves were heaving with deliciousness so really spoilt for choice. I selected the usuals, almond croissant, pain au chocolate and a chocolate brownie but extra treat of a blackberry custard pastry (too good looking to pass up) a sausage roll, hot from the oven (steaming in the cool bake house air) and finally... A cinnamon bun from the tray expertly selected by Rory. The man has the skills of a surgeon and the eye of a hawk in choosing the stickiest, most cinnamon-y bun in the tray... All stocked up and home to the family for some silent munching over coffee and juice. When you're in say Hi to Rory and the team and let him show you his zen master cinnamon bun selection routine.

Food is superb. We had the burger which was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding which was the nicest I have tasted. The serving staff were very friendly and super helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
