I came with my husband, my elderly mum, and our little dog, to enjoy the Indonesian food lunch, then left briefly for a nice walk around the pretty village, before came back for gluten free pistachio and cheese cakes, Indonesian snacks, and coffee. For lunch, we enjoyed the fish chily balado and rendang curry, with the famous original taste of Minang / Padang, a tribe and place in Indonesia. The nasi goreng is still my favourite. A really nice day out..happy time 💕

This place is a little gem: smiling welcome; good coffee and cakes also samosas but above all their delicious and authentic indonesian lunch dishes, freshly cooked and well worth waiting for. Could hardly be better.

It was the worst toasted sandwich iv ever had. Cheap nasty cheese bread was hardly toasted £7.50 you must be joking. Dont recommend.

Amazing food and incredible service!

Faringdon coffee house is so much more than coffee and cake. The owners are Indonesian and they also offer a small menu of Indonesian meals. If you want to try food that is cooked to order, and extremely tasty and filling ,then look no further. I had Mie Goreng/indonesian fried noodles and my friend had beef rendang curry . We were both delighted with the flavours of our meal and the quality and quantity. We highly recommend this beautiful little place in Faringdon town centre, go give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Owners are super friendly and kind too 🙂.

Lovely little spot in Faringdon with some really nice decor and spotlessly clean. The latte was great, the salami, cheese and pickle toasted sourdough sandwich was a delight and the mee goreng was a real taste of home (Malaysian). The owners are so friendly and attentive. Without a doubt if we ever pass by Faringdon again we will be stopping here. We didn’t sample to cakes but they looked great too.

My friend and I visited after walking round the Folly. Immediately had a friendly welcome and we wanted to sit by the window but there was only one chair, however straight away a me,her of staff found us one. I had a cup of tea and my friend a latte which were very good. We decided on the spur of the moment to have two Samosas with sweet chilli dip and they did not disappoint, very delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit

We came across this coffee shop by chance when travelling this way. The family that run the café are lovely. We popped in intending to have a coffee and perhaps a sandwich, but seeing nasi goreng and curry on the menu felt compelled to try them. We were asked if we wanted medium or more spicy spice in the nasi goreng. I opted for medium. Our meals came quite quickly and were fresh and absolutely delicious. The coffee was good too. Hopefully, we'll be able to return soon.

First visit today, cakes looked amazing but we only had a latte and a hot chocolate, both were delicious wayyy cheaper and very much tastier than costa (sorry costa) I was super impressed with the fact they had a dispenser of canderel on the counter , my latte was mild and creamy but not ott on froth, my cousins hot chocolate she said was perfect , unlike some that can be a little bitter. Great craft bits at very reasonable prices that would make ideal gifts

Searched for authentic Indonesian food was rewarded by the spicy and tender beef rendang curry and nasi goreng.Hits the spot. The Indonesian chef was so nice and recommended beautiful gardens around the Cotswold. Wonderful experience!

Stumbled upon this place when visiting Farringdon and we were so pleasantly surprised. The restaurant owner is very sweet and went out of her way for us. The ambiance was amazing and the food was unreal! The coffee was really nice as well. Would definitely come back again. 10/10

An absolutely lovely meal. I truly recommend the egg rice. Exceptional potion sizes and phenomenal Indonesian flavours. Honestly I can’t believe how good the food was at such a low price.

We have had lunch here twice recently and will come back regularly! We were also delighted to learn that they do take-away Indonesian meals once a fortnight. We have tried nasi goreng, mie goreng and beef rendang all absolutely delicious! The Indonesian owners are very warm and welcoming, we shared stories about life in Jakarta. A treasure of a café!

Seeking for a place to have some lunch we spotted this lovely cafe at the core of Faringdon. To our surprise aside of the usual sandwich’s and cakes the menu have an Indonesian cuisine alternative. both of us choose the Beef Rendang: delicious! We also treat ourselves with a lovely Cheesecake and Capuccino. We will definetly come back!

THE best rendang curry I have ever had - incredible. Comes with veg and rice - and a chat from the chef. The hosts were really kind, they were near close, but managed to fit us in. Wow what a delicious lunch - a definite recommendation!

Had a lovely lunch at this cute little cafe. Staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Cooked as spicy as you wanted. We shared a meal as we weren’t too hungry and the portion size was very good. We will definitely visit again in the future!

Delicious and authentic Indonesian food, friendly staff and good prices. I made a mistake placing my order and forgot to ask for one of the coffees to be decaf, tried to pay for it at the end but the owner wouldn’t let me - very sweet and generous of her. The place is dog friendly too, it just needed to be a little bit warmer and I’d have given it 5 stars.

Delicious beef Rendang & friendly service. If you don’t know Indonesian food, try this place: you taste the love & heart they put into their dishes, which are hearty & tasty - especially in the cold winter months.

Stopped in for lunch. The service was very kind, the food was really really good (had the noodles, and the chicken curry), and portion size was filling. The puddings/pastries looked good but we didnt have space left. It's right in the centre of town so lots of people watching. There is plenty of street parking, or a 2hr free carpark just a block away. Definitely would come back, for a meal or for a coffee and pastry.

Great small cafe with the usual sandwich menu but in addition had an Indonesian menu. Our desire for a simple sandwich evaporated once we saw the quality of latter We both had curry, one beef and one chicken. The quality, quantity and presentation were excellent. The flavours were distinct and very enjoyable. This was a real surprise. Cakes look lovely too but we were just too full and will return to try anothertime Good friendly staff

Lovely cafe stop on my bike ride, had a delicious passionfruit cheesecake and iced coffee served by friendly staff. There is a sturdy bicycle rack right outside, and sitting in the pleasant outdoor area or inside by the window gives you a good view to keep a reassuring eye on your ride. Will definitely be back!

What a great find in Farringdon. I’m learning Indonesian and The Coffee House was recommended by my teacher. The owners were wonderfully hospitable and tolerated my basic language ability!! Much more importantly, the food was superb. I had the beef Renang which was delicious and I will be back to try the fried noodles and nasi goreng. Restoran enak sekali - Saya mau kembali!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Stopped with some friends and were greeted warmly by the owners. Tea served and there was a selection of goodies to choose from, both sweet and savoury. A pleasant place for rest and refreshment.

Loved the coffee and jam and cream scone in this beautiful old building...so admire the decor,the mirrors and the wonderful old fireplace surrounded with flowers ..and the scone was delicious..my daughter had a vegan choice with almond in it and oatmeal latte . Which she loved and kind servicev

Just had a nice grilled sandwich at the coffee house. Be aware that their Indonesian offerings (that I was hoping to eat) are only available Tues to Thursday and Friday before 12 in-case you are travelling just for this.

Came in today with my mum who lives in the village to try the traditional Indonesian noodles , the lovely lady who runs the cafe said they were not serving hot food today due to Friday prayer , she then went to talk to her husband and came back and said he would do it as he had time which was amazing and we didn’t expect him to , the service is amazing and so friendly and the food was just perfect really lovely cafe , pop in if you are close by you won’t be disappointed , 5 stars ⭐️ from me

Had a great lunch here. Both my partner and I had beef rendang, which was delicious. Came with rice, broccoli (mix of tenderstem and standard) and carrots. They also brought out some prawn crackers and sweet chilli sauce before our meals came. Such good value and they are really friendly. My partner was eyeing some delicious looking lemon drizzle cake, but we were too full.

Way beyond what you would expect from any cafe, really worth to try out! Plus, the service is perfect and they are super nice and polite. I will come back for sure!

I come here all the time as it is my favourite cafe! I order the mi goreng dish and it’s absolutely delicious. It’s so well presented and my favourite food. 100% recommend :) I also recommend the vegetable spring rolls which are amazing too!

Visited many times, has been good but recently it's hit and miss as to whether they have menu items available and also hit and miss whether they are even open. I tried to pop in a couple of weeks ago and it was shut. I tend to go to Costa now as at least it's reliable with food offering and opening time
