Penceunant Isaf Tea Rooms

Llanberis, Gwynedd
28/11/2018: Honestly - this was exactly what we needed after a very satisfying yet exhausting hike up and down Mount Snowdon! My best friend and I got back a little later than most, but this place was still open, and felt like a huge hug! Stefan was as wonderful as the much-needed cake and tea! He and his friends (who had come round to have dinner with him) were incredibly friendly, chatty and engaging. Stefan definitely caters for all kinds of guest as well, so whatever your background, age, race, religion, etc, he has the necessary knowledge and facilities to accommodate! Oh, and the fire - well, it's just perfect.
20/11/2018: What a welcoming place for a beer after climbing Snowdon. Stefan is the host here. Really nice fella serving fab local ales. Highly recommended

Bosun's Locker

New Quay, Ceredigion
09/12/2018: We visit this little hidden gem once a year. The Sunday lunch is delicious and huge ! Good value for money. You’ll need to leave room for the lovely puddings and cakes they do too. The Staff are all lovely, very attentive.
03/12/2018: We visited this place to late for a Sunday meal. However we had a cream tea & a very interesting talk with the owner who likes to talk & be friendly with his customers. The place was very clean & welcoming & the staff were very friendly. Our Cream tea was lovely & tea to boo,. the local information helped us plan our holiday for the week.

Aberystwyth Rheidol, Ceredigion, <20£
29/11/2018: Great service. Fish was cooked beautifully. Had the fish stew to start and the sea bass special for mains!
22/11/2018: I went with a group of friends on a lovely evening. There were enough of us to take over the whole restaurant and we enjoyed great service and a very imaginative menu. This is a great addition to Aberystwyth with food that would be top-ranked anywhere.

On the Hill

Ruthin, Denbighshire
16/12/2018: We visited after being given vouchers from friends as a wedding gift, whilst it took us a good 40 minutes to drive to the restaurant it was definitely worth the journey. The food was out of this world and I can only echoe previous reviews. This was the best food we've had in a long time. We've since bought vouchers for a friend's birthday present as food this good shouldn't be kept a secret!!
16/12/2018: Took our friend out for his first time at On the Hill and was he impressed - oh yes, we all were. A Tuesday evening and the place was packed with dinners and with more people coming through the door but with 'no room at the inn' they had to be disappointed. Great friendly service from the staff and every course a delight and a generous portion for every course - even dessert which in many places is often minuscule. Was impressed to see that for those with a smaller appetite there was an option of a smaller starter and dessert - what a great idea so u could still savour all three courses without missing out! If you enjoy your food please do not miss out on this place.

W. T. Roberts Bakery

Beaumaris, Isle of Anglesey
27/11/2018: Hidden a few streets back from the sea front, this bakery supplies bread to all the best places in town. Get there early to stock up on sandwiches, pasties, pies etc. Ideal for a seaside picnic.
23/11/2018: If you like fresh bread and wholesome baked goods then this is the place for you. Opens at 08.00 and when I’m in Beaumaris I’m usually first in the door. The staff and goods are fab but don’t expect any chat unless you’re local because they are too busy. We always come here on our many visits

Bistro Bermo

Abermaw, Gwynedd, 20-30£
25/11/2018: This restaurant is a must honestly the food and service is first class, we had pate for starters which was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life so creamy and Tasty. For the mains the fillet steak was cooked perfect and trimmings were just as nice.. A good selection of wines as well .. The owners are very welcoming, can’t wait to book
24/11/2018: We came on a chilly November evening. The food was delicious and generous. Everything that has been said by previous reviewers about the perfection of this restaurant is true. It was a privilege to eat here.

Blas at Fronlas

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
02/10/2018: Visited this cafe twice during our recent holiday to the area. A really lovely place to sit and watch the Newport village life go by. Very welcoming staff. Great coffee and cake, wish we'd have chance to sample some of the great looking food, will make a point of it next time we visit.
01/10/2018: We called in on a Sunday afternoon with friends and our dogs having tried to get food at all the pubs in the town which either had stopped serving food or didn’t like dogs.

Salt Marsh Kitchen

Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
06/11/2018: Very nice dinner--well prepared and served by friendly staff. Book your reservation in the larger room--
26/10/2018: Had two beautiful evening meals here. I would describe it as a gastronomic experience. Every morsel of food was inventive, tasty and artfully presented. Each and every member of staff were exceptional, friendly, professional and discreet. Would definately come again.

Carlo's Restaurant

Craig-y-Don, Conwy
04/11/2018: The food was so good when we went to this restaurant that we booked again for the following night. It was the best food we found during a week break in Llandudno.
04/11/2018: We researched nearby restaurants as we were attending the North Wales Choral Festival. We had often passed but never noticed Carlo's as it was closed at those times. Having said that, the exterior is very attractively decorated with flowering plants and the interior is clean looking and welcoming. It is quite a small restaurant and being a Saturday evening, it was full when we arrived at 7 p.m. so we were glad we had booked. Although the tables were quite close together, there was room for the serving staff to attend to people and there was no sense of over-crowding. The menu was appetising with plenty of choice, the food was fresh and well presented and the service prompt and courteous. The portions were generous but not enormous, which is always a plus for me as my appetite is not big and I am easily over-faced.

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
11/11/2018: A massive thank you to John,Steven and all the staff at the brewery Inn cosheston.
07/11/2018: We booked for my daughters 24th birthday, never visited before but will definitely be returning. Hospitality was second to none, the food was exceptional, presented beautifully and portions were generous. The staff were warm, welcoming and brilliant. Got to say the local cloudy cider was awesome too! A big thanks to all the staff that made my daughters birthday a really good one. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment and I'm going to be returning!
