The Brit Pub

Bryn and Cwmavon, Neath Port Talbot, 20-30£
15/06/2018: I'd been recommended to go to The Brit by a work colleague and decided to go early on a Thursday evening. We were made very welcome and sat in the restaurant although you can eat in the bar area or the lovely garden at the back. The food was amazing - I had the herb crusted salmon and my son had the chorizo stuffed chicken - both were well cooked and very tasty. I would recommend anyone to try this pub and we will certainly return.
12/06/2018: We arrived at the Brit on a Monday but still open for food unusually for pubs. Lovely welcome from the manager who encouraged us to look around the garden beside the river which is lovely. We decided to both have Hake and chips - lovely touch of a rocket salad which came with it. Sadly no room for puds - good selection of local ales and gins. Met the owner who was a fellow motorhomer. Great ambience and cosy friendly local beside a lovely river.

Penceunant Isaf Tea Rooms

Llanberis, Gwynedd
18/06/2018: If I had my way I would make a visit to this place compulsory for anyone considering running a business in the service industry; a really warm welcome that made us feel they had been awaiting our arrival. My wife who declined anything alcoholic was presented with home made lemonade - on the house - and despite the place being busy the landlord took time to come and chat to us and suggest other places we might enjoy in the area. If only they were local!
17/06/2018: After a disappointing attempt to get up to the top of Snowdon, I came here with my father in law. It was a welcome site and gave us respite for descent down and a cheer us up from not being able to make it up very far. The hot drinks and teacakes were very welcome and the staff were lovely. We also got to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views.

Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
16/06/2018: It was quiet there today but a friendly sociable welcome with a good all day breakie and tea. Good chat and information received. An ideal stop for any biker!
29/05/2018: We went for a spin on the motorbikes and ended up here. They offer lovely gluten free jacket spuds and also gluten free cakes. Will deffo be back as wasn’t expecting to be able to eat anything but the portions are HUUUUGE. Lovely staff and lovely food.

On the Hill

Ruthin, Denbighshire
14/06/2018: Had a great experience here. Superb food, excellent service. Couldnt fault it. Will definitely return.
12/06/2018: Good service, great menu, friendly relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food and really good value too. Perfect.

Salt Marsh Kitchen

Tywyn, Gwynedd
16/06/2018: Cannot compliment the restaurant enough great service and the food was just lovely. Had the sirloin beautiful. A must visit if you’re in the area
14/06/2018: Recently visited this restaurant with a group of girlfriends, we had a lovely evening and best of the food was delicious. Staff were very attentive, even kept our table whilst we finished our pre dinner cocktails off . Would highly recommend anyone to go there.

Aberystwyth Rheidol, Ceredigion, <20£
10/06/2018: Fresh fish sitting on the harbour in a small specialty restaurant could not be better. The food and service was excellent and I can highly recommend this restaurant. It is very small with just a few tables so booking well in advance is essential but the smallness means you get very personal service. The only down side is that being so small they have to get two sittings so you can’t sit too long after your meal but that said we did not feel at all rushed.
08/06/2018: I am a regular at pysgoty with my wife. I have never had anything to complain about, the food is always perfectly cooked and presented.

Oystermouth, Swansea
13/06/2018: After almost 50 years I can honestly say Joe's is simply the best ice cream I've ever tasted. We ended our day out today with a tub of Joes ice cream to enjoy on our bus journey home. Yes, the prices are increasing, but sadly that's the way it is especially in Swansea.
13/06/2018: Joes is a favourite place for our family. When my daughter comes home from London where she lives and works we make the effort to go down to the shop 50 miles round trip!!!

Blas at Fronlas

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
17/06/2018: We only had coffee and cake but the lunches looked great too. The staff are really friendly and polite.
10/06/2018: Fantastic evening to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Loved the tapas, the music and the birthday cake. Thanks for helping us organise the celebration.

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
18/06/2018: This place always delivers! Offering quality food and superb friendly service. My daughter arranged Fathers Day Sunday lunch here and it was fabulous. We booked a table for 3.30pm and the place was still buzzing with people - which is a testament to the way the place is run.
18/06/2018: The Brewery Inn is a lovely characteristic village pub serving excellent food and drink in a lovely atmospheric environment. It also has outdoor seating in the front garden, and accommodation is also available. Our evening meal was excellent, service was good and the landlords are very friendly and amenable. We will definitely revisit next time we are in the area!

Bistro Bermo

Abermaw, Gwynedd, 20-30£
16/06/2018: We visited this restaurant at lunchtime on a Sunday, while on holiday in the area. We had the 2 course lunch, which included bread and olives, as well as coffee, which we felt it was outstanding value. The meal was so good that, sitting in...
16/06/2018: The food at this restaurant is fantastic. We arrived a little late as our group was cycling from north to South Wales. The waitress and chef were accommadationing and I’m glad we didn’t miss our booking. It’s not often I look down a menu and...

Carlo's Restaurant

Craig-y-Don, Conwy
15/06/2018: Will keep it sweet you will not be disappointed loved everything we had, and you will too. We have visited the 100s restaurant and can't fault this one.
13/06/2018: This restaurant is well established and serves excellent food. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere relaxing.

Gwaelod y Garth Inn

Pentyrch, Cardiff, <20£
16/06/2018: First off, their lamb crown was simply the best lamb I've even had. Superbly cooked and presented resting on a light sauce. Fantastic flavours and done to perfection. The inn itself is very nice, in a beautiful location, and with excellent staff even with a large work party.
12/06/2018: Fantastic food that was just perfect ..

The Crown

Aberffraw,Rhosneigr, Isle of Anglesey, >100£
17/06/2018: Ten of us pitched up unannounced at 7.30pm as part of a nostalgia-fuelled extended-family excursion; unsurprisingly there wasn't space for us right away, but we only had to wait until 8pm, and we were able to have a drink in the bar beforehand. It was very obvious that we are English, but we were welcomed very warmly -- even during World Cup season!
13/06/2018: Our first visit and not disappointed, a very friendly and welcoming pub restaurant. Excellent choice of menu and delicious food, very gernerous portions and reasonable prices, reccommended the steak pie and it was very good. Friendly locals Meade our visit very enjoyable.

The Crown

Mardy, Monmouthshire
03/06/2018: We had a lovely family meal on Friday. We were welcomed warmly, and I enjoyed a well presented local ale. The place and staff seem a little 'olde-worldy' (not that there's anything wrong with that!), but the food certainly wasn't. The menu was diverse and forward thinking, and we shall visit again the next time we were in the area. My daughters enjoyed the scampi & chips, I had the curry from the specials menu, and my wife loved the ribeye steak.
29/05/2018: I booked The Crown as it mentioned vegan options available, despite the fact there weren't any listed on the menu.

Gwesty Cymru

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion
15/06/2018: I was in Aberystwyth on a beautiful, sunny day and needed lunch. I was initially tempted by a quick sandwich or a take-away from a fish and chip shop, but in the end I decided to seek somewhere with more style. I happened to pass...
14/06/2018: Regularly eat in this, our favourite eatery in the whole of Ceredigion. Excellent food both at lunchtime and in the evening. Also a great place to sit outside and people watch on the promenade. Can’t fault the food, staff or service. We would recommend Gwesty...
