We were very lucky to get a pavement table for the lunch service as a walk-in. The staff manage the magic trick of making everything relaxed and easy whilst juggling a full restaurant. The food was absolutely beautiful, you can see all the attention to the little details like the olives and the flatbread. We could definitely go back and order the other half of the menu. Thank you High Pavement!

First time I've been to this place. And first time in a proper Spanish restaurant. The food was amazing, well cooked, and presented. My wife and I dined here for our 1st wedding anniversary, and we both went away thoroughly satisfied and full. The staff were very helpful, professional, and courteous. Loved the atmosphere as well, and was a very clean and fresh look. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a really great place to eat for all occasions. I went with my family and there were many different options including delicious options for vegans/vegetarians. The staff are so friendly and helpful and there is a lovely calm atmosphere. 100% recommend. Probably best food I have ever had!

I've deliberated about writing this review, but figured we decided to go because of the good reviews and the promise of great fresh fish and food.... but we got anything but. I can only guess that the chef had a night off because our food wasn't great 😕 Obviously vac-packed ready cooked mussels (tiny, overcooked, many broken shells and some even closed) Nicely cooked seabass but on a bed of stodgy orzo with far too much pesto, crunchy leeks and oddly bits of carrot. Was hoping for a fresh, vibrant dish.... Crusted cod was burnt and cod overcooked so had gone spongy. Weird amuse bouches: burnt potato spiral and soggy beetroot tartlet. Really dissapointed. Lovely view over harbour and nice outside seating area but our experience wasn't a good unfortunately. We did give our feedback on the night and realise bad reviews aren't nice, but when people spend their hard earned cash expecting something special, it's hard to swallow....excuse the pun!

I visited The Cedar Tree with my family for a special birthday and was blown away by what an incredible gem this place is! There’s a lovely cosy feel to the whole place. The food was lovely and while we all had different starters and mains, I lucked out by ordering the Salt and pepper calamari which was just awesome. The hangin danglin skewers were also amazing. Whilst the restaurant was quite busy (first Sunday of spring) I couldn’t fault the staff. Our server was so friendly and efficient and yet unobtrusive. Just the right balance. For the price paid, this has to be one of the best value for money meals we have had in a long time. Overall, delighted to have discovered this gem of a place and we will be returning again for sure.

We decided to go for lunch here to celebrate my husbands birthday. The previous year we had a lovely lunch here. After looking through the menu we decided to go for the crab sandwiches with chips in rosemary and aioli. We asked for brown bread to be told that it would be done in white bread, apparently the accepted method from the waiter. The content was a lot more shredded lettuce than crab. We also noticed that there was brown bread on the servery. When we asked the waiter about this he said that it was sour dough bread that would not go well with the crab. We were in shock on his comment. A nice day spoilt by a poor lunch. Have their standards slipped? For the money this was one of the poorest/dearest crab sandwiches we have come across. From previous photos on trip advisor we noticed that brown bread had previously been used. We were not given that choice!

Unfortunately both the service and food at The Bank were well below what one could reasonably expect from a restaurant of this type. The service was exceptionally slow and the food was more than a little overcooked - and this, with drinks for £100+ for three covers. The Restaurant Manager was apologetic but words are, as they say - easy. We shall not be returning and from the less than full occupancy others have clearly already made that decision.

What a poor menu, don’t think it’s changed much in 6 months. Trying to be too poncy just need to be kept simple & local. I don’t think they had a chef just a member of staff assembling a few ingredients. Still cost £100 for three of us for lunch.

Had a fantastic stay here at the very end of March. Lovely boutique type of hotel. Owners and staff so friendly and helpful. Changed one of our rooms to a more suitable one after we arrived with no problem at all. Our evening meal was really special and delicious as was breakfast in the morning. Great unique building in a great location. Will definitely be going back. Lovely cocktails too

Such a special place - my wife and I have so many happy memories over the years of dining at The Barking Dog. Leader of the pack and one of the best in Belfast it has been a firm favourite restaurant of ours for a very long time. Never easy saying goodbye we managed two visits in its final week and as always it delivered on fabulous food complimented by friendly and first class service with lots of positive energy and atmosphere despite that dreaded closure just days away - true professionals to the very end. Thanks to Michael and every member of his talented team over the years for always stepping up to the plate and delivering a service second to none. Special mention is due on that final Friday evening to Lauren, Charlotte, Ciara and Anna as we sat at our favourite window table basking in glorious spring sunshine and reflecting on what has been a memorable and unmissable journey. Thanks for everything - it has been a blast!

Over priced hotel in a lovely spot so it met our expectations. The room was small and expensive but comfortable enough. The welcome was very good from the woman on reception who was excellent throughout. The man on the bar and serving breakfast was pleasant but not warm. When I asked for a wine list at the bar he just listed the white wines sold by the glass - clearly women don’t drink red!! I asked for the wine list again. Considering the price of the hotel and the fact we had made our booking months in advance the unavailability of haggis as part of the promised Scottish breakfast was poor and the lack of genuine apology or offer to replace it with something else was also poor, as was the total lack of marmalade. Neither should be hard to source in Scotland! The hotel seems to rest entirely on location and it does have some gorgeous views but we stayed in lots of amazing places in Scotland with good views none as overpriced as this. And just beware the hotel is on a working slipway into the Loch with associated traffic and some views interrupted by a green mound and public toilets, none of which are shown on the careful photos on the website. Our stay was rewarded with a dinner of the first langoustine of the season. We’d chosen the hotel for its reputation for seafood and then the standard menu changed on us to something less interesting but the specials of langoustines or hake made up for that and our meals were good.
