Enjoyed some wonderful food and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Service was excellent throughout. (shoutout to Nell)

Came here with a few mates, food was out of this world and the staff were lovely!

Excellent food and service. We hadn’t booked but went in on a Saturday evening and the staff found us a lovely table for 4. Really nice atmosphere. Food was amazing. Menu was perfect, lots of little dishes so perfect to share with friends over a few drinks. Staff were knowledgeable and able to recommend dishes. Can’t wait to go back!

Not a bad place, like the almond croissants but bit pricey for what it is. Average nearly £5 for a loaf of bread 😳

Nice big pub, without the classic damp smell, with a big courtyard at the back. Very kind service and varieties of drinks and beers. I would happily go again.

A lovely pub with great food options. Lots of comfortable tables inside and a great garden with lots of heated tables. A wonderful place to enjoy time with friends, drink good wine and beer and celebrate tasty food.

Lovely staff, good pub for drinks but food... Tasty, although the portions are TINY for the price. The cheeseboard is literally 3 pieces of cheese... Tiny plates. Recommend getting crisps if you want to snack and would definitely bail on anything from the menu if you're hungry.

Was really looking forward to the roast after the great reviews, sadly that was not the case. Paid £18 each for two roast beef, both came with 2 slices of dry roast beef. The potatoes were very nice, crispy and tasty. However, the sides, carrots and parsnips both raw and gravy that tasted like water. The service was great but roast was extremely disappointing

A beautiful space with a solid playlist, helpful staff and an excellent roast. The Cauliflower cheese was the cheesiest i’ve had in Bristol so far, and i’ve had quite a few!

Booked the Grace for a work Christmas do, having never been before and the service from start to finish was flawless. From the moment I booked with deposits they were so helpful and then the level of good service continued when we had the meal itself. The mulled wine was the best I've had, the 3 course meal was delicious - couldn't fault it and then the Christmas cocktail was the cherry on top! Staff were very friendly and professional - felt very looked after the whole evening. Pub itself had a cosy and warm vibe and I'll definitely be back for a date night. Would highly recommend this little gem on Gloucester rd! Thank you!

The food was awful, the steak was so tough that it was inedible. There was a very small menu choice and given the portion size the food was expensive. The place was cold as the door was left open by the smokers. Would not visit again.

We had our Christmas meal there. The food was great, the service relaxed but efficient and they dealt with allergies (garlic and onion) without fuss. We had great fun and thought it was great value for money. Thanks again.

Very unwelcoming and unfriendly response from barman Will having waited at the unattended bar for more than 5 minutes. Joining my family who had arrived before me, they reported exactly the same from the barman. Won’t return. A very friendly and customer focused company pub is just opposite.

The food here was absolutely delicious. Truly fantastic. The service was a little slow but really friendly and the establishment is very nice.

Popped in here the other day just for a quick drink to unwind. Was really hoping to get my hands on that local gin I’ve been loving lately, but turns out they didn’t have it in stock. Bit of a bummer, but no biggie. The atmosphere of the place was quite nice, not too loud, just right for a chill evening. Service was definitely a highlight - the staff were super friendly and quick. Even though they didn’t have the gin, they recommended a couple of other drinks we might like for next time. We ended up staying longer than planned, just because it was so relaxed and the vibe was good. They had a nice selection of snacks too, which we didn’t try this time but looked tempting. We’ll probably come back to give them a go and who knows, maybe they’ll have that gin by then!

We celebrated a 40th birthday here, Will and Chris were very flexible and happy to accommodate a big group of people. Great selection of beers and lovely appetisers, everyone was well impressed. Thank you!

A good sized and long-established pub on the popular Gloucester Road strip, we were booked in for Sunday lunch, and found it was still full to capacity even for our 3:00pm sitting, which created a buzzy, if slightly noisy, atmosphere. I opted for the Pork Belly, with a pig in blanket, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. It was just the one pig in blanket, not the more usual pigs, but then it was also a full size sausage, not the usual miniatures! Whenever I’ve had this before it’s been served as a single, oblong section of meat. Here it was quite long and thin, with bone running down the middle, and to be honest I would really have known it was pork belly, it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. There was some separate crackling, but this had been swamped with gravy, whereas surely that should be kept dry? The potatoes tasted a little stale, as though they had been hanging around for a while, although the accompanying vegetables were very good, being a decent selection and a good amount of flavour to them. We would have had cauliflower cheese on the side, but apparently this was off due to a “technical issue”. Overall, I was a little disappointed with this. It’s a nice pub, and the staff were all friendly and helpful, but I’ve certainly had better Sunday lunches elsewhere.

Personale davvero davvero gentile e genuinamente simpatico, il publican è stato il migliore incontrato in questo viaggio, tutto il tempo al banco a dissetare la nostra sete di birra e soprattutto di cultura birraia. Un grande.

Been using this pub for years. Lovely pub, staff, ale and food. For me their customer service is first class. Their flexibility around the showing of big TV events is amazing. It's never too much trouble and they always go out of their way to accommodate my request. Always friendly, a few laughs and going the extra mile to make your visit special. Can't recommend enough. Will be back again and again. Thank you for all that you all do.

Excellent service from friendly and helpful team. Beautifully cooked and presented dishes with some creative and tasty combinations in the 'Iittle plates' section of the menu. Don't miss the triple cooked chunks on the side, they're lovely. The Grace catered effortlessly with a table of 9 that included a mix of vegetarians, vegans and a coeliac. Went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy with their meal choices and had a good choice of vegan wine for those who wanted it too. Everyone very impressed, had a great evening, thank you!

A very relaxed place serving delicious ,piping hot , Sunday lunches.

Menu may appear slightly unusual at first glance but always very tasty and great staff. Feb 5th 2022 just popped in for another lunch today and the food is still amazing, thanks to everyone in the kitchen for all their hard work. A lovely venue with a great outside space to boot and Dog friendly. Quality food in a relaxed nice pub atmosphere

Decent bar, bar staff are really friendly. Came here for a roast as well with a friend, food was amazing, the roast really lived up to the hype. Gravy, Yorkshire pudding with pulled beef was really tasty. The cauliflower cheese is probably the best I've had in Bristol. Only criticism was the roast potatoes, they weren't as fluffy and tasty on the inside as I would have liked. But all in all, it was a superb roast. Drink choices are vast and the prices are good value. Outside seating is well maintained and comfortable.

Loved the style of sharing food, delicious! Service was great too. Definitely coming back… Only downside was the acoustics made the section we hired quite unbearably noisy.

Great little restaurant inside a traditional pub. It's a strange setup but works with premium tasty cocktails. Food suitable for Vegans as well as meat eaters. I especially liked the way they worked with allergies marking up the actual menu

Back in the Grace for yet another fabulous evening. Food was again superb - lots of different dishes and each one was lush. Lovely service and the (last) plum and raspberry meringue was to die for. We are very lucky to have it as our local 😍😍

After being told by staff that it was empty and therefore no problem to order food as a walk in..surprise surprise, I encountered the doom monger front of house. Obviously food would now not be served. Missed it by a second apparently- kitchen closed in an hour’s time though. It’s my fourth encounter with their hostile front of house; hence the review..I’m not one to play the race card, but it has been odd.. So rude it’s palpable. It’s hard not to take it personally as it’s happened time and time again eg; (no food yet they serve food to other people the last time we were there)..it was embarrassing as we had to ask how they got their food as they had no reservation and arrived after us. Ffs Hope you read this Chris as the owner; we’re pretty local.. Do better

Amazing! The staff were lovely and the food is spectacular. You *have* to get the Korean duck wings (actually legs, I think) and don't share 'em or you'll regret it.

Good location for meeting friends, whilst I didn't eat on this occasion the garden to the rear looked great in the fine weather.

The food was excellent, I had the beef and it was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were perfect and the cauliflower cheese was the the best ! Dessert was Summer akin to an Erin Mess and again the only problem was that I did not have enough room for a second helping. The Staff were attentive but not annoying in any way. Pleasantly surprised to have a new carafe of tap water provided without needing to ask. We were in the middle section that opened up to the garden. This allowed fresh air to circulate, it is VERY hot today so this was an ideal compromise. Should I have chance to eat here again I will not hesitate !

Sensational. Busy busy busy with noisy drinkers but what did I expect for a Saturday summer nights beer garden. Great location but the highlight has to be the brilliant menu and service. Every dish we had was brilliant. Enjoyed our food so much I forgot to take decent photos.

Small portions and expensive. Charge gratuity even though no drink service. Not likely to go again.

Really lovely bar/pub/restaurant. The staff are lovely, funny and friendly. We had snacks and drinks. The menu is very good, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Good choice of beers, wines and spirits. The staff were knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. Nice beer garden, kid and dog friendly.

Good varied menu served with great beer/wine by engaging, helpful staff. Go early in the week or in the day as easier to get table without reservation. We'll be back (early!)

Great food & charming front of house.

Absolutely first class Sunday roast. I had the beef, my wife had the chicken; both were succulent and, like the varied and variously treated vegetables, full of flavour. The gravy was inexpressibly rich and delicious, the cauli cheese the best and tastiest I've had. Definitely going back to try their weekday menu! Lovely mixed-age ambience and they serve good well-kept ale too. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic lunch at The Grace. Food + wine reasonably priced, absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly, welcoming and added to the general calm feel of the pub. Would absolutely go back.

Always nice to have dinner here - nice atmosphere, service is always friendly and food is always great. We went for the Korean duck wings, sweet and sour aubergine, crown Prince squash ravioli and grilled hispi cabbage - all full of flavour. House red was nice too.

Spent a great evening here during the temporal perineum. Good beer and some exciting food - my friends devoured the duck, and I discovered muhammara. Popular with parents with babies when we were there.

We love this place. We visited for drinks - fab beers and cocktails and a nice relaxed vibe. Very dog and people friendly ! Next day we returned for the Sunday roast and that was fantastic. Food was great and again good service and a perfect Bloody Mary ! The only downside about this place for us is that it’s not our local. We were just visiting Bristol for new year.

Family of seven on Christmas eve. They were busy, but the service was brilliant. Staff were attentive, I have an egg allergy and they double checked, with the Chef, what was suitable for me. Nothing was any trouble. The quality of the food was amazing. Well done to the Staff.
