The best restaurants serving Spanish food in North West

Treat night out with friends, thanks to Ben and the guys working as hard as ever throughout the evening. It's worth booking a table for Fridays and Saturdays if you want to take advantage of the great tapas menu, although it is not necessary if just popping in for a drink. Always a great night out.

Nipped in last night (Friday) having looked at table availability and thinking ‘why not’ given the Tap is only round the corner. Welcomed warmly as ever by Will and the team and seated in the bar for a good bit of people-watching. Holcombe Tap Ale was in fine form and is always clearly kept well and maintained. The small plates menu really takes some beating (in fact I’m not sure you can). The arancini special was a delight but was run close by the gochujang cod. We always have at least one veggie dish and the tempura broccoli is worth the visit in itself. Can’t recommend highly enough and the standard of food and service never dips. Thank you

Did not seem that welcoming, dirty seats, tables, mirrors and toilet door needs cleaning. Calamari was excellent and the sauce with the croqettes but the rest off the food was average at best. Advise…try other Tapas places

Absolutely wonderful authentic Spanish food. Beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Good value too. All four of us really enjoyed it. It's a lovely place with professional and friendly staff.

Service was great and the food was really good.

Average food, service that seemed to be rather passive, especially the man behind the bar. Used to love it here but gone down in hill.

The front of house male was appalling shouting at my wife saying we didn’t have a booking which we did, he said you wouldn’t get confirmation email if you booked that day which we did, no problem with food it was good, he needs to go on an anger management course, the waiting on staff were polite he was awful we definitely won’t be going back there

Tried to visit, checked website and social platforms if need to call to reserve. Refommened not to reserve. Turned up sbowing open online but then found it was closed for private event?? No information posted anywhere, bit of a joke

Went on Saturday night around 7pm and we had no problem with the lovely staff saying it was around an hour for a table , it was only about 40 minutes and they lead myself and my husband , and another couple to tables next to each other in the old part of the restaurant . It had a lovely atmosphere , and was very busy . They took the couple on the next tables order the same time as ours , and all there dishes came out rip rap , so they had various items on there table to pick at . Sadly our order came out very very slowly , the cheese, honey , walnuts etc , came to our table (no lovey on the cheese) , and then nothing else for 25 minutes . Our last top as came out 45 minuted after the first , the dishes were lovely , but it felt like a long tasting menu . We will go back again , but will avoid this time of day and try lunch perhaps .

This is a lovely place which is very welcoming. There is a dinning area and a roof top area which we picked. There is spanish music playing and the food is excellent. The staff are friendly and very attentive. This is the best tapas yet.

It’s the second d time we have eaten at wellsprings the first was excellent tonight however was really poor We had strip steak that was tough and hard to chew and it’s almost £8 for two very small sparkling waters , generally expensive for what it was I think I’ll give it a miss in future

Scotch egg is fire 🔥,best scran ever eaten would definitely recommend house red wine to go with staff are really nice too definitely the best tapas around

Staff really friendly, just had a few snacks as we didn't have long but they were delicious
