Thought we'd give it a go but its small and cramped, the table was sticky, not much choice on the menu, very uninspiring so we walked out with out trying the food.

I'm fortunate in that I live very close to the Lemon Tree, the food is always fresh, delicious, good quality and the portions are generous. I've enjoyed a full English breakfast, superb morning after treat! The bacon & chicken salad for lunch with a really tasty dressing and the Tapas is fantastic! It would be remiss of me not to mention the cheese platter. I would recommend this hidden gem to everyone...and for those who prefer there are lots of vegan options. Called in for breakfast. The dining area was clean and tidy the staff where attentive and the food was excellent.

Not a great experience. Breakfast: Items mostly served cold, on cold plates. 'Toast' was hardly that. More lukewarm bread. Eggs were poor quality. We had to ask for butter for 'Toast'. Served by inexperienced staff. Coffee ok, Tea served as a 'bag' in a cup. Not a great meal.

Called into the Lemon Tree Cafe, while on a training day. Staff were polite and friendly and happy to serve us. Food was beautifully presented and tasty, you got a lot of food for your money, my friends bacon sandwich was loaded with bacon, and the sausages were gorgeous.

I can't fault the food for flavour or value for money. The service was welcoming and drinks lovely. Recommended.

Went here for the first time for lunch and it was superb. There's an extensive menu at reasonable prices and it is all cooked from scratch. Will definitely be back.

This is a great place to eat good wholesome food and socialise with real friendly people. Sat in the heart of one of the nicest villages in Lancashire. Don’t hesitate to call in, your dog will also be welcomed and looked after. Why not take the weight off, you will happy you did.

Laid back cafe with small but decent menu. Nice selection of craft beers too.

An absolute gem of a find. Great coffee, scones, artwork, music and staff. Located near to the start/finish of the Ribble Way - you must call in as you're passing.

Cute little place we decided to try after a nature walk, we ordered smoothies and charcuterie boards, I ordered fish and my friend ordered vegan. Our drinks were lovely but we noticed mix ups with our food on arrival, mine wasn't fish but meat, on the menu I didn't see a meat option, only fish, vegetarian and vegan but I didn't mind as I'd have picked meat if it was there anyway. My friend had chosen vegan and we noticed issues after she tried the cheese, unfortunately it wasn't vegan and this was a bit upsetting. We let the staff know and they apologised and corrected it best they could, there was still some stuff not vegan on her board that needed correcting and now they realised both our orders were wrong, mine was fine as I've no dietary requirements but unfortunately her eating animal produce when strictly vegan is a bad moment. Honestly the staff were lovely and very apologetic, my friend didn't kick up too much fuss but she was now anxious of what she was eating so needed extra confirmation on items which the staff kindly provided. The food once sorted though was enjoyable and what we needed after our walk, wasn't too filling and a great variety for us to try. I would recommend this place 😊

Very good stop over out on a 7 mile walk father and son.

I have wanted to visit here for a while. Finally did this week and was definitely not disappointed. Both my and my friends lunch was lovely. We both had jacket potatoes and my only gripe would be that the potato wasn't piping hot,but that is a really small gripe. Everything being served looked lovely so went back today with hubby. The tasting platter of cheese and continental meats is delightful. Hubby had soup and sandwich and raved about the soup( but also helped me out with the platter ! Great friendly staff. Great food and service. Great value for money. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you.

Don't be put off by the spacious roadside exterior. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the interior is quaint and cosy. Good hot drinks.

Wine bar/ bakery, it has a good range of craft ales, pastries, sandwiches, pasta, and other specials. Good for coffee and cold and alcoholic drinks.inside seeting or plenty more outside.

We like going here for drinks and snacks. It is a quirky little place with plenty of choice. We sat outside on Coronation Day and had a drink, sandwiches and cake. Always a nice atmosphere and staff are always friendly. Very reasonably priced too.

Says it opens at 8am so me and my friend when Into the cafe to order 2 full Englishes and the staff member turns around and says that we won't be serving until another 45mins due to just opening, well I have worked in 4 cafes and every single one u had to be there atleast an hour before opening time to prepare the food ready for customers to order.

Sat out on a sunny day. Meal was good and not expensive.

Very lucky that they were open Easter Sunday. Ordered two bacon, sausage and poached egg breakfast sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. Freshly cooked to order.. just fab.

Been here several times and never had any problems. My last visit though wasn't a good experience. My order was forgot about and had to enquire where it was, whilst everyone else in our group of 5 had received and eaten theirs and I was still waiting.

Food great, friendly staff...all going well sitting outside in the undercover seating area....until the member of staff who prepared the food came out for a (no doubt, well deserved) break, sat down at the next table to us, proceeded to light up a cigarette and allowed her smoke to billow all over us and our food! There were several tables free across the way from us that she could have sat at and we feel she should have been more considerate of customers who were already eating. It totally spoiled our food and our opinion of this venue. We couldn't leave quickly enough and we won't be going back.

Odd place, some bloke talking other people who he thought were idiots, and asked if myself and mate were foreigners as he didn't like them,😡 weird place every table reserved no one there!!!!!!

First time visit to The Lemon Tree and will definitely be returning. Lovely, tasty, well presented food and great service from friendly staff.

Great village bar/cafe…Excellent food, we enjoyed the tasting platters and there is good value across the menu. Our little girls loved the ice cream. Great service where the beers keep flowing with ease.

Lovely little place - very quick service- however disappointed with a couple of things! I had booked in advance - but table not reserved when we got there and no awareness of a table being reserved -fortunately it wasn’t too busy! The food was ok! My friend got poached eggs but the yokes were hard not runny. I got pastrami sandwich and soup. The soup was lovely as was the sandwich but the guerkins were cut far to thick. Nothing major that I would complain about at the time but wouldn’t make me rush back. All in all ok

Wasn't for me tbh. Pint of cruzcampo was v poor. Tea time pint on a friday and just felt like I was in a mix between a pub, cafe and restaurant. Strong smell of Soup.

Fantastic little cafe in the heart of Longton. We had s warm welcome on a very rainy soggy day. The atmosphere in the cafe was warm and cosy. I had the most delicious bowl of pea and ham soup with a lovely brew. My friend had a home made piece of cake which she said was delicious. I would highly recommend this sweet little cafe for a lunch time visit. In the words of Arnie “I’ll be back” especially for more of that yummy soup.

Our daughter and family have just moved to longton and my hubby and j were out for a walk today and went to the lemon tree for a tea and cake. Lovely friendly place to meet friends and to chill.

Lovely atmosphere and will need to return for a platter of food

I took my mum here for a birthday lunch. I have nothing but positive feedback. We were welcomed with a smile immediately. We chose one of the booths to sit in, but all the table were great. The decor is lovely and everywhere is spotlessly clean, including the toilets. I had a platter and my mum a jacket potato. Absolutely delicious and really reasonably priced. She also had a glass of wine, which she enjoyed. I was sorry to be driving, as it's the kind of place you could relax for ages over a few glasses. Service was fabulous, attentive but not rushed at all. Unfortunately, I am not local or I'd definitely be a regular! Thanks for a lovely lunch and I hope the business goes from strength to strength!

Highly recommended! Wonderful staff. And the nicest owners you could hope to meet. Enjoyed a delicious pint here. And can't wait to visit again to try some of the amazing food on offer! I'll soon be a regular!

Popped in for a quick bite to eat, had soup and a sandwich each and a pint. It was relatively quiet during late lunch, but the food was delicious, sandwich very tasty and soup hot n great. The host was very friendly and the venue had great surroundings and good feel factor. Fab interior. Will definitely be going back !!

This place is amazing, such good quality food and service and at a very reasonable price! My wallet has always dreaded Longton for quality food however this is an exception, not only do they provide quality food with a smile, they also are very reasonably priced! I asked for something not on the menu (a coca-cola float) and the lady made it specially. Every time we visit here we are thoroughly impressed!

Lovely little cafe, very friendly staff, my friend and i both had wraps, served with nice fresh salad. Good choice on the menu with tapas and tortilla, soup and sandwiches in a selection of different breads and large selection of fillings. They also do ice creams, but that will be for our next visit

We were on holiday in Longton, and this was our favourite place! It was sunny, so sitting out was great. Good choice of snacks, and very good value drinks: we had wine, gins, cocktails and beer. Staff are really friendly and look after you. Coffee is really good too! Great place to watch village life go by that won't break the bank!

Lovely little bar cafe in Longton. The outside area is great for al fresco drinks and snacks. They serve cakes and great tapas-style platters. There's a warm, relaxed vibe and the staff are very friendly. Looking forward to trying inside soon with hot chocolate. 😋☕

Good choice of drinks, food choices are limited but I had a vegetarian platter which was lovely and plenty of it, nice atmosphere and extremely polite and attentive staff.

We visited the Lemon Tree for a quick drink one sunny evening - what a lovely place, outdoors seats with great table service, friendly staff and a good atmosphere - we will definitely be back to try more of the food which we got a small taste of which was obviously home made and delicious!

Great new café/bar in Longton. Excellent prices, great choice of food and superb beers, wines and coffee. Friendly Staff. Well worth a visit!

Visited this quaint little place in the heart of the village and - despite the hot weather - opted for coffee and scones. Quite simply, the best coffee yet....... large mugs and it was hot and strong. The scones came with separate pots of jam and clotted cream. Two coffees, two scones and all for under £7. This place really has a great atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and really friendly. We felt very welcome - as did our dog who was treated to fresh water and some doggie biscuits. The outside seating is in full sun, making it a fantastic location for a bite to eat or just coffee and cake. Perfect.
