Have to say, this place has some decent food. That's why I came back again. Except this time a single round of tapas took well over 60 minutes... It felt majoritively like we were just left in the corner and ignored, Unfortunately on my birthday, too. For 22.95 + drinks and a 2 hour time limit, it isn't worth it. Have to say I will not be returning.

We enjoyed our food but the overall experience felt rushed, it was our first visit so we did need a little time with the menu and stated that more than once when asked for our food order. To be fair it was busy but there were empty tables available so it didn't seem necessary. We all said we'd return and give it another go.

Had lunch with my bro here today and was impressed. Received a warm greeting upon entry. The food was excellent all round, the service was also friendly and efficient. Recommend the chorizo in red wine and the steak (so good!) but everything we ordered was piping hot and delicious. We weren’t rushed at all and had a long leisurely meal, with a couple of beers. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated. I highly recommend Casa del Mar and will be back next time I’m in Hartlepool.

'Local' tapas bar on the Shepherd's Bush Road. Busy, which is always a good sign. Is it the best tapas I've ever eaten? Probably not, but it was hot, served with a smile and in sufficient quantities to overface the two of us. You could do a lot worse.

Food is pretty much faultless. Really fresh, thoughtful and different. Stand out dishes were the steak, tuna on avocado and (simple but..) anchovies on tomato bread. Had to get the suckling pig with apple sauce and lime sorbet (this is my death row meal, sorry to be crude!). Olives we all said the best we have tasted in years. Keep it up. Back soon! Xxx

The food here is good, with reasonable-sized portions from a limited menu. The menu is very chicked and fish heavy, and could do with something like belly pork, classic pork, and bean stew or pig cheek dish. The sauces could also use a little more work as the cod in onion marmalade was a loose sauce with very little flavour. It was still a great night, with friendly, attentive staff. Well worth a visit.

We had breakfast here and enjoyed the food. I had the "Hash bowl" which was hash potatoes served with chorizo and halloumi, red onion, spinach, poached egg & hollandaise sauce. And it was really really good. Big portion with perfectly cooked small pieces of potato, loads of chorizo and loads of perfectly cooked halloumi. Very filling and a great start to the day. My wife got the bacon sandwich on granary bread. Good amount of well cooked bacon, but a shame that the bread was just standard sliced bread (so many bakeries in the area so they could have got some better quality bread) Overall a lovely breakfast and we would visit again for more food.

Popped in with friends for dinner, staff where so welcoming. Ordered drinks and a selection of tapas. Food was all served hot and delivered to the table quickly. All food was delicious the albondigas (meatballs) are a must so delicious as was the white sangria. Lovely night was had by all.
