One of our faves.. fab atmosphere , food and service. (The Asian sticky beef.. tremendous as always ) Thanks to Rebecca and staff for being lush as usual.

Went for brunch. Staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Food was loverly, I had bacon sandwich with mushrooms excellent.

Great breakfast & lovely staff. Veggie breakfast the best in Whitley Bay. Fox & Finch is always busy for a reason. Fantastic atmosphere & service whatever time of day you go.

We called in for breakfast, a great choice on the menu,I went for the shakshouka and my wife chose the finch breakfast both were delicious, got to call in again to try the later menu

Let’s talk about the English breakfast at Fox & Finch. When they say “full English,” they are not kidding around—this is the real deal, the whole shebang, the kind of breakfast that makes you feel like you’ve just signed up for a food marathon. This is a breakfast for champions—or at least for those who skipped dinner last night. So, make sure you show up with an empty stomach, because you’re going to need all the room you can get.

Had an evening of drinks there on bank holiday Sunday in Aug 24.. atmosphere was good, a bit slow on service at the bar, but otherwise a very nice venue

Not a very welcoming bar and why such bright lights at 10pm at night? I can understand bright lighting whilst food is served, but not late on at night. I think they need to dim the lighting, which will give a more cosy atmosphere.

Excellent food and drinks brilliant customer service, staff very friendly even though they are very busy nothing was a problem.

The drinks are watered down and expensive, bought a gin and lemonade and Bacardi and cola. Proceeded to by an additional gin at £7 and put it in the glass. Still no taste for £16 . Then complained and had another gin added free of charge, by now it should be in drinkable but actually very nice and just how it should be first time

Great meals - large portions and good value.

After two visits here I would not recommend this place. 1. Drinks arrive 10 mins after food is eaten. 2. No vanilla in my latte as requested. 3. The tropicana orange ordered was orange cordial. 4. Diet Coke was flat. 5. Wrong eggs order , brought scrambled instead of fried - when I took it back it took another 10 mins to come back out where it was clear they had scraped the scrambled eggs off (as there was still some on the plate) and added the fried eggs. The rest had been left to sit and was cold. 6. Asked for fruit added to pancakes but this was ignored and then only came out when prompted. Honestly it was comical how many things went wrong on this visit and it's the second time it has been like this. The food and drink can be OK but the service is so haphazard. Will avoid in future!

We stopped here for lunch on Friday after walking from Tyneside. We were told that there would be a 15 minute wait for food, which wasn't an issue as we weren't in a hurry - thankfully. When the food arrived, after 45 minutes, it definitely hadn't been worth waiting for, the sandwiches were tasteless the chunky chips were very greasy and didn't taste freshly cooked and the side salad was limp. We mentioned it when we paid and the waitress apologised. The positives are the decor and the staff, who were rushed off their feet as there obviously isn't enough of them. There are so many lovely looking places to eat around which made us feel worse after wasting our money on the worst lunch we have had in a long time.

Went for dinner, usually really difficult because of allergies but this place went above and beyond. Was able to get modified versions of dishes and service was amazing.

Small things make a big difference!! My wife has disability issues and when we arrived a lot of the lower tables were taken up. Rebecca noticed my wife struggling and in a flash, quickly got us a great comfy low table. She did this without thought and yes you might say ' it's her job' but customer service like this is something you don't get as much as you think. We went in for 1 drink and ended up having 6! The Almasty Ale was super fresh and tasty ! Thank you Rebecca you are doing a great job !!

Disappointed visit. Slow service. Drinks flat! Replaced and still flat. 3 out of 4 tapas dishes cold. Prawns cold were awful. Staff knocked discount off. This is a second poor experience and now wouldn’t return.

Absolutely brilliant, the sausage sandwich was delicious, struggled to finish it as it was so large, definitely coming back whenever we come back to visit my Family, it was brilliant, slight downside were the hot drinks, not being fantastic but the food made up for it

Lovely brunch today , nice breakfast eggs benidict and Cappuccinos , staff warm welcoming and served quickly nice to our dog too would definitely recommend 😊

After funeral venue ,Fab place .Clean and well prepared for the guest arrival .Staff were superb ,quick and efficient but extremely polite and courteous .Tasty breakfast treats all beverages were of good quality and piping hot .Perfect place to have a wake .thankyou Becca and pandy .

Visited a few weeks ago with my brother who was over from Mauritius. He thought it was very impressive all round.

Went for breakfast this morning the food was really well presented and it was a really nice place not too busy or crowded. It is a really good place to go to for food I will definitely be going back it’s that brill!!! The menu is really good as well as they is plenty of food and drinks to pick from I really recommend to try this place and food and drink out. The staff were really nice too.

Really disappointed with this place. I had been before and it had been great. Booked a table in advanced about two weeks ago but we got a bench to sit at. I asked if I could have a lower table and said no. Got harassed to order food and then took 40mins to arrive and some of the tapas were cold so had to send it back. Will not be going back again.

Popped in one night by chance and ended up drinking fine rum. Great place, staff friendly and chatty, just what you want from a local watering hole.

Wow 🤩 We opted for the tapas offer . Four dishes and two drinks for £25 . Amazing offer . Food was stunning 😍. Massive choice available we chose . Prawns 🍤 Lamb kofta with pitta 🥙 Ribs 🐷 Honey chilli chicken 🍗 2 glasses of wine 🍷 We thoroughly enjoyed all dishes . Decent portions . Definitely recommend 👍 Ohh and we sampled a pornstar martini too , 2 for £12 🙌🍸

Booked in here on a Friday tea time, got here a little early and it wasn't a bother, showed us to out reserved area but also got asked if we wanted to sit elsewhere, very happy with our reserved seats, orders a couple of bottle ciders came with ice cubes and fresh fruit ( nice touch ) ordered our food Buttered Chicken Burger with skinny fries and a Buttered Chicken Platter was amazed when they arrived the portion sizes were amazing as was the taste of the food too, saw tables around us ordering the tapas special they looked amazing too, will definitely be paying this place a visit again for food or just drinks, the staff were amazing too a good little find and highly recommended 😀

Popped in for a coffee after spotting it whilst driving, no Parking I could see that was directly nearby but plenty in the adjacent streets. Cannot fault the service, drinks or atmosphere of this place at all. Even in awful weather the staff were happy to accommodate us sitting outside. Coffee was delicious and the Hot Chocolate may as well be liquid crack, absolutely delightful. Cannot wait to come back and try the food menu. Also pretty reasonably priced, worth the stop!

Excellent service from walking in . It was mine and my friends first visit and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As we didn’t have long we just ordered their 2 drinks and 4 tapas for £25 . They were delicious so much so we are going back next week . I’ve raved about this place to family and other friends . You won’t be disappointed

Visited for brunch and there is plentiful options to choose from in a popular cafe in Whitley. Extremely tasty food and nice portion sizes, only knocked down from a 5 due to the slow service (finished hot drinks a while before food was served and found a table ourselves)

I have been going to Fox and Finch for a long time and it continues to be one of my favourite tapas eateries. Staff are friendly and your made to feel so welcome. Food always good, portions a good size.

So walked in to fox and finch for a quick drink and ended up staying for tapas, served by a lovely young girl, Grace (only know her name as we asked her specifically to write this review.) She couldn’t have done enough for us and was so friendly and explained everything, she was busy and running around but still managed to serve us with a smile. Couldn’t recommend fox and finch enough if you are looking for cocktails and good food with a wide variety on the menu. Definitely recommend the Asian sticky beef!

The staff are incredible. It’s a home from home for us. We lovely locally and pop in to fox and finch several times a week. Rebecca is a superb host who welcomes you with a smile and often has the drinks ready. My family and I have been coming here since it opened and it’s our favourite watering hole. Fish tacos are incredible also. I hate chain pubs and restaurants and f&f is not a chain. If you love friendly hospitality and a little banter then you’ll love it here. I saw some of the recent negative review. You probably need to go to a weatherspoons. This team work so hard I don’t even understand your gripes. Support local, enjoy what we have on our doorstep. The only thing better than the food and drinks is the staff, it’s why we keep coming back. Breakfast’s are amazing too forgot to add that.

The venue itself is tastefully decorated and looks great. However, the service, waiting time and overall quality of the food and drinks let down the experience a lot. Having worked in hospitality for a long time, I understand that when a venue is busy you might have to wait longer, however staff should make customers aware of this immediately. It might be a good idea for orders to be taken at the bar, rather than at tables here. We were given a table but I had to repeatedly go to the bar to try to get anyone's attention. I kept being told they would come to me which was a bit frustrating. This went on for a good 20 minutes. It took another 20 for 2 drinks to be brought to us. They came and told us our food order had been 'lost' so needed to check and put it through again, which was only fries and chicken strips. After an hour of being there, our food finally arrived and was okay. The chicken was a very small portion. The most frustrating part of this kind of experience though, is the lack of communication from staff. Had we known it was going to take such a long time, we would have gone elsewhere or would have at least been aware of any delays with food/drinks.

Fantastic food but someone really needs to take a look at the wine list ...in particular the red wine selection .....there's not much to go at...the merlot and shiraz we had were simply awful........and not cheap. Real shame because nice food and poor wine is not the best combo!

Just been to fox and finch for some coffees, we were going to get breakfast but every time I’ve been you wait an age for food, as it was apparent by the customers sitting next to us who had been waiting 45 minutes! so we just opted to have drinks, we ordered at the bar and they came, the girl serving us was very miserable and it seemed all of the girls must have an allergic reaction to smiling and being pleasant, at least the 3 we seen. After finishing our coffees and paying at the bar we were leaving only to be asked on the way out if we had paid? What on earth!! Why not check at the counter first before accusing us in front of other paying customers. That might be an idea. A “thank you and goodbye” would have been nice or a “merry Christmas” Appalling customer service. Seems like some of the staff need to be trained in customer service! I’ll not be back!

I have visited Fox and Finch many times Now and i have never had a bad experience, hands down they do the breakfast around and the staff are always so friendly and attentive, definitely recommend!

Went today for food, we were seated next to a large rather loud group and without even asking the waitress offered to move us to a quieter place! The cocktails took a little while but it was fine although they forgot my lemonade, I already had a cocktail and didn’t mind at this point and it wasn’t on the bill. Food came out, our friends shared tapas, we had to ask for serving plates, to which we were brought one by a different waitress to the first one we had. We asked for another for her husband and she lifted the cutlery pot of the plate the cutlery came on and gave him that! When we mentioned it she rolled her eyes and I think we were all taken aback. We have the steak platter, it’s not a platter, it’s a plate of steak and chips with some pitta and salad! Wasn’t a terrible meal with some excellent service and some terrible

I have to say I was extremely disappointed the food. I attended with my husband for the tapas deal, desserts and drinks. The fish cakes were served cold and the chorizo did not taste right at all. They were not edible at all. The waitress was made aware of this and got us warm fish cakes. We ordered desserts and they also were served cold when they were meant to be warm. Again I did not eat it but both myself and my husband were too embarrassed to say something. We have had food here before and not had this problem. We were not offered a discount or anything. Safe to say we will not be returning.

There are some great options on the tapas. The quality and quantity of all the food were absolutely unreal and all reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

When Fox&Finch first opened they were amazing - exactly what Whitley Bay needed. However recently I have been very disappointed with the service, attitude of staff and the quality of the food! We went in for breakfast and we’re there 45 minutes before our order for drinks even got took… It was around another hour until food and drinks got served. Unfortunately this has happened a few times now and seems to be going downhill. Such a shame as was such a lovely location beforehand! Hopefully turns around.

Fantastic tapas 4 for £25 and 2 wines. Lovely lamb cofta, chilli chicken and meatballs with Greek salad . Amazing service, as usual home from home. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely option for a family breakfast. Second time we have been, both times the service was great, the food was very tasty (and came in great portions). Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Lovely setting, nice atmosphere and also dog friendly.

Lovely night at the Fox & Finch. My honey chilli chicken burger and twice cooked chips were great.. Everyone else's food looked delicious too.. I have previously been for breakfasts, definitely worth a try.

I rarely write bad reviews, but today is the time when it needs to be done. When we arrived at the establishment they didn’t even greet us, but that’s the lesser of two evils. We went up to the bar ourselves to get the menu and then the drinks menu. After some time, a young man came up to us and took our order for drinks, this was the only thing that was brought quickly. After we placed the order, we waited for it for a very long time, although there were almost no people in the room. The table is sticky that your hands are stuck When the food arrived, a series of disappointments began: - the food was cold, completely cold - double cooked chips were used as slices of frozen potatoes boiled in oil - a salad in which the main ingredient is cabbage and consisted of solid onions - there was a long hair in one of the dishes - tapas shrimp in garlic were cold, undercooked and not at all garlicky, rather tasteless. I'm not even talking about the cost, which is completely inconsistent with the offer. - no one ever came up to us to ask if everything was okay and maybe we would like to order something else In general, unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment and I will not return to this establishment again.

I have visited Fox and Finch twice over the past week and have to say how impressed I am with both the faultless service and fabulous food . Wow, they now have Almesty beer for sale. It's 5%, so a pint is good to go. Friendly staff. Good food served all day. Table reservations are a must to phone ahead. Decor is good and very 'funky.' Two sets of toilets on either side of the main bar. The seating is varied style. Stools are the seating at the four large plate glass windows. Wheelchair access from the street entrance and there are an adequate number of tables throughout the three separate seating areas access through a wide open doorway. Certainly the best and most popular bar serving food on Park View, Whitley Bay.

Love the decor. The staff here are very helpful and they even brought my Dor some treats and a water bowl over. We only had coffees but will definitely return for breakfast. Place was busy with a good atmosphere.

It's a fab place for food, it's always busy, but worth it if you haven't booked to try. Booking is really easy on their website. They do fantastic breakfast/brunch, and a great choice on the full menu too.

I had heard a lot of positive things about this place, particularly about the food. We went for a quick bite to eat around 5ish. The bar had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were lovely. The food however was poor and expensive for the quality of what we got. The Patatas Bravas with Chorizo tasted like yesterday’s roasties heated up with a bit of tomato sauce chucked on to them, we tried to find the chorizo, but could only find piece between us! The Bang Broccoli dish had three small florets of over cooked soggy broccoli in a partially cooked batter which give it a very unique texture and although the other dishes didn’t taste too bad, the portions were similarly very small…£8 for 3 medium sized prawns felt like a bit of a joke. I know tapas is small plates, but other tapas restaurants I’ve been to manage to get the balance a bit better. The lovely waitress took the cost of one dish off and a drink off the menu which was nice of her as I did say I was happy to pay when we commented on the quality of the food. The gesture was appreciated but I wouldn’t return back in a hurry.

Saw this place and decided to pay a visit . Great location and layout, dog friendly which is always a +plus. Welcomed by staff and seated promptly. Chi I’ve of food is wonderful , opting for the Tapas offer ( 1400-1700hrs , 4 Tapas , 2 glasses of wine or beer for £24.99- excellent value for money ). Tapas was delicious and freshly prepared, portions were great , all served by very friendly and welcoming staff. A very pleasant afternoon , and well Worth a visit .

Been visiting here on and off since it opened but the last visit was disappointing for our table of 4. Service was very slow with drinks being forgotten. Food is very average and basic for the prices compared to other local places now which have really stepped up the quality of food (Room 305, Kith and Kin, Rustic Cup, Pranzo, Meet me on the Corner for example). Will give it a miss from now on which is a shame.

Wow. First time coming here after it was well recommended, food was reasonably priced and also large filling portions. Fresh quality ingredients and was served quick. Staff very friendly and chatty also can tell they enjoy their job, dog friendly which is great especially due to the area. Clean environment and mint vibe will 100 percent be back again!
