The best restaurants serving Seafood food in New Forest South East

Easily the best fish and chip shop in the new forest/area! Food is always served hot and top notch quality! Staff are always happy and very polite and respectful! Zoutorias easily beats the competition serving quality and quantity!

Fabulous tasting menu with extraordinary food served by friendly staff in a modern setting.

We have been using this Fish Bar for many years whilst on holiday in the New Forest. However the choice has decreased and there are not many vegetarian options available. A vegetable curry pasty would be nice or at least a cheese and onion pasty. Prices are going up everywhere, but the portions are getting smaller. We visited again whilst on holiday recently and, although still no vegetable curry pasty or cheese and onion pasty, the fish and chips were delicious as was the chicken burger. A spicy bean burger would be nice for vegetarians who like spicy food. Plain veggie burgers are a bit bland. We were very grateful for the cod not having the thick grey skin on it and we love the pickled onion vinegar. We have been using the Rainbow Fish Bar for around 40 years and it's part of our New Forest holidays.

Whilst I glanced at the menu through the window I noticed a man behind the counter picking his nose, made me sick and it put me off 🥵🥵🥵

Great food, cooked fresh. Lovely staff. Huge menu with something to suit everyone.

Have had mixed reviews but I wanted to see for myself. It was very busy and the place is very clean with pleasant staff. I ordered cod and chips x2 and a saveloy for my dog. What lets them down is the fact that people were getting their orders before me because I had to wait for the saveloy. What’s to wait for? That was my only concern as the fish and chips were lovely and I would definitely go again.

The prices are quite high for the portion sizes. A regular chips here is equivalent to a small elsewhere.

I was tired, had a gap between clients, & I fancied chips... So I came here & had a lovely sit down to a delicious meal of battered sausage & chips, bread & butter & tea to drink. Afterwards I was refreshed & ready to work...

Classic fish and chips, crispy batter, amazing chips, cooked whilst we waited so felt super fresh. The staff were also really smiley!
