Zoutorias Fish and Chips in New Forest

Thankyou so much as always a. great fish and chip shop but also for amazing gluten free for my son is a coeliac. Thank-you for not letting him miss out we appreciate ot every time :-)

I have been in a lot of fish and chips shop, but this is by far the best I have ever been in. It is clean, staff are very friendly and the food is to die for. Every time I go here the food had been brilliant and it is always freshly cooked.

Easily the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. The owners were so nice and welcoming and the place was spotless. The two girls serving had great manners and positive attitudes so that really added on to the experience. The chips were perfectly crisp and fluffy on the inside and not too oily at all. The fish was of course the highlight of the meal and that certainly did not disappoint. The cod was melt in your mouth and the batter was so perfectly golden it was like a gold bar in the box. Easiest 10/10 I’ve given.

Arrived fifteen minutes before closing. Looked like they had a busy day and wanted to kick us out! Only large haddock left, so that’s what we had. Cooked fresh for us. Really chunky fillets of fish, chips were great too. Good value for big portions and good quality food. If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely be visiting again

Excellent. Best fish but rather pricey. I think worth it. Fish cooked to order. Given cutlery and napkins. Can’t afford to go too often but was delicious

Thought I'd give zoutorias a try as I've heard good things about it. Looked at the menu online, and the prices seemed reasonable. I ordered a medium cod, medium chips, pie and 6 nuggets. All the other chip shops in the area would charge in the region of £12-15, and looking at the website, they were on par with the rest. Imagine my surprise when I ordered and was told it was £19! I asked when their website was last updated and was fed with a line "Oh I'm not sure" The only plus was the nuggets, the fish was measly for a medium fillet, and if that was a medium chips, I'd hate to see what a small one was. I will caveat this by saying the food was well cooked, just sadly not enough of it for the money. For that sole reason, I shall not return.

I only discovered this little gem last summer and I am glad I did. It is by far the best fish and chip shop in the area. Everything is freshly cooked and always tastes great and all at a reasonable price!

Great food and friendly service. Had fish and chips from there last week and have to say how delicious it was ,crispy light batter and moist fish. They surpassed their usual high standards.

We are staying near Calshot and had fish and chips 2 nights ago. Absolutely delicious and best veggy sharing box for our veggy daughter. Friendly staff and excellent service. We phoned our order for collection. Highly recommend.

We had a great meal last Saturday. Feeding 11 of us, staying at a local campsite. Vicky delivered our food for us. All meals were fab. Definitely recommend.

The chips here have always been good and others have told me about the fish, but imagine my delight & joy at finding out they now do gluten free batter. I have just had some of the best fish & chips ever. Simple. As someone who is allergic the wheat & Gluten I have to avoid wheat based products like the plague. I know a lot of chippies do gluten free batter but a lot of the time it is only on certain nights. Or it is limp and tasteless. I can honestly say that the gluten free batter on my large cod was some of the best I have ever had, light crispy, lovely colour and the fish was absolutely fantastic. Firm, moist and flaky, just as it should be. I know its tucked away off the beaten track, but it is well worth a trip to try the fish, you will not regret it, well worth it.

By far the best fish and chips for miles. Really friendly service. Put your order in early as they get busy. Well priced, once we tried we’ve never been anywhere else.

Stopped here for tea after a day at the beach when heading back to Brockenhurst. We sat at a couple of tables and chairs outside in the sun eating what the wife and little man said were the nicest chips they’d ‘ever had’ from a chippy. Portions too were very good. We promised we’d do a review … and we’re true to our word.Pop in folks, well worth it.

Whenever we go to the new forest we always make sure to stop here great service and great fish and chips short drive to Lepe and Calshot too absolutely spot on 👍🏻

Great fish and chips, amazingly fresh thick chunky cod. Good to see distancing rules in force and taken seriously with all staff with masks and gloves.

Hands down, the absolute very best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fresh cod in a light, thin and crispy batter, cooked to pure perfection, accompanied by golden chips with a crunchy shell surrounding a yummy fluffy middle. All of this along side a perfect sized portion! Thoroughly enjoyed, and look forward to my next fish and chip treat from the team at Zoutorias

Bought for us by the company. The order was completely wrong (large order given to the staff on a list) three of 10 meals were missing. All the chips were hard and cold. The fish batter was soggy. Not good! Avoid.

Waste no time going anywhere else, quite simply the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The fish was cooked to order, the batter was crispy and almost light with not a sign of fat anywhere. The meal was served in individual boxes so no need for plates when you get home. The boxesxare then placed in a large sturdy paper bag for ease of transportation. The chips were delicious, hot and crispy on the outside but fluffy inside.... its a 3 hour drive for me so i cant get there too often but I will when i return....good price too !

A group of 11 of us went out for a trip, we went to Zoutorias, for a a take away, my wife and I had fish and chips. The fish was the best weve ever had, the batter was perfect not your usual greasy batter that makes you feel sick, beautiful and fresh. We asked for large chips and chicken nuggets for students to share but the chef kindly put them all in boxes free. Well done really enjoyed it

As a family we now wouldn’t go anywhere else. The fish is brilliant and the chips aren’t even a bit greasy. Grab a meal on your way down to Lepe or Calshot for the perfect British dining experience 😉

This is without doubt the best fish and chips shop in the Southampton area. Lovely fresh fish, we had Haddock and cod. Cooked to perfection with lovely tasting batter. (mouth is watering just writing the review) Chips are the best I have had in years (just like mum used to make!!), really crispy and fluffy inside and a super taste. Nice vinegar (not diluted). Well presented in its own box and then paper bag. Onion rings also yummy.Well priced and food cooked to order but well worth the wait. Staff all cheerful and smiling :)I expect this place will get very busy as the word travels so the large carpark out the front is a bonus.Several other F&C shops in backfield and easy to miss so be sure you are in the right one.Worth a drive out, once you have your meal a quick drive down to Calshot spit 10mins and you can watch the boats go in and out. Excellent.
