The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South Lakeland North West

I can't review the food here as we didn't stay long. We had booked the restaurant and arrived on time. When we walked in we weren't acknowledged either by the waitress who was close to us, or the lady behind the counter at the back. So we loitered a bit before the second lady shouted over 'sit in one of those tables over there'. We got the menu, but by this time we felt there was no atmosphere and it felt a bit like a cafe - although the food prices were high. This wouldn't have put us off but the feel of the place did. Sorry to Hooked that we didn't stay but we had a much better welcome elsewhere that evening.

A wonderful quaint Chip shop with very friendly owners. The prices and food were outstanding and delicious. I will definitely be making a return visit. Thank you.

I had high hopes based on reviews but I won’t be back. Chips looked and tasted like they’d been left for hours. Fish batter was greasy and fish awful taste. Fish cake was fine but that’s because it was just a heating activity.

Chippy Bank is awesome! The food is always great, the service friendly and the prices reasonable. There is a seating area as well as the takeaway. There is always a friendly atmosphere to be found here, and situated in the town centre makes it handy. Unfortunately there is no parking on site and it is luck of the draw to be able to park outside or nearby. There are no toilet facilities in the seating area.

Restaurant was a little short staffed but did not affect the quality of the food . We had the salmon fillet and the seabass , cant remember the dessert except that it was excellent . Accompanied by a decent bottle of malbec . Slightly disappointed that they could not make expresso martinis but would difinitely eat here again.

Had amazing gluten free fish and chips here in October and they even had GF vinegar.

On entering the shop we noticed how spotlessly clean it was, which was a great start! Our order consisted of haggis, cod, chips, halloumi bites, peas and gravy, all of which were delicious. Both myself and partner commented on how tasty and perfectly cooked everything was. The food was prepared in good time by a friendly chap on the counter. We were lucky to visit on a gorgeous sunny day and took a wander down to the river and ate on a park bench. We would definitely recommend Jingling Lane Chippy and would without hesitation eat here again. Thank you.

I’m not sure what’s happened to this chippy but it’s really not what it used to be . The fish is so small and the chips seemed to be refried . Most of my portion was hard bits and it became cold quite quickly hence the reheating . Lovely people but I think they need to up their game and stop mixing old fried chips with new . It’s not cheap food anymore and people deserve fresh cooked . I hope it improves . Large should be large and small should be small . Change your fish supplier bec they are tiny . !!

Nicest fish I've had in ages. Chunky and really nice batter. Wish i lived closer so I could have it more often.

Gorgeous fish and chips, curry sauce to die for, highly recommend, very reasonably priced , premises appeared very clean
