Excellent fish, chips and mushy peas! Tartare sauce in a pot too. Great customer service and well organised on a busy evening.

Dished me up a mixed meat kebab with chips which resembled something from a gynaecology ward clinical waste bin, and charged nearly £10 for it!! 🤢 Had to pack up eating halfway through as it became increasingly repulsive to look at, never mind eat! My last visit here.

Lovely traditional chip shop, service is slow and queue outside but food is really good

How can the chips be burnt, soggy, greasy, hard and undercooked all at the same time I commend you on what should be an unachievable task what an extremely disappointing meal do not let this shops fancy look trick you worst chips in all my life

Ordered a regular chips for £3.20 and got a bag of scraps. The chips looked and tasted like they’d be cooked 5 times over. The woman who served us wasn’t very friendly. When we walked in she was putting some fresh chips in to fry, but we got the impression she gave us the scraps because we weren’t ordering anything with it, like a fish. She didn’t even ask if we wanted salt & vinegar - not that it would have made much difference to the flavour as they were tasteless and dry. In this day and age, you’d think small businesses would appreciate customers. I’d save your money or go somewhere else.

Very stingy with the chips. I purchased a large portion as it used to feed a family of 4 with some left over and now barely gets 3 of us. Large fish was ok although lots of batter with no fish inside at the end. I'll be going elsewhere next time.

Only went in for a small kebab! Didnt have all the salad, what salad they gave me i did not eat (looked old) definitely not fresh! Kebab was cold, what i believe was the owner, behind the counter, phone in one hand eating something with the other hand, not exactly hygiene at its best, never again! Will travel further to markeaton fish bar. Very disappointing & waste of money!
