Clean shop friendly staff CRAP PIES! Asked for steak and kidney, there was not a single piece of meat in it! Just gravy Won’t be going back

I had a mixed meat kebab with all the trimmings. It was absolutely fantastic. I’ve had lots of kebabs in my life but never one as full and tasty as this one. If you love kebabs go to draycott fish bar you will not be disappointed 😊👍

It was the first time my partner and I ordered from here and we both thought the food was excellent. The small cod and chips meal was well priced and a good portion. The fish was perfectly cooked, not dry, light and crispy batter and not too greasy. The homemade tartare sauce was lovely! My partner had the mixed kebab meat and chips and he really enjoyed it too. Again, a good portion for the price. We will be back! The best chippy we've had from around here.

Having called at chip shop for fish ,chips and peas at 12.30pm I asked the owner if they were fresh and hot to which he replied yes . On arriving home we found the fish hot and crispy but the chips were cold , dry and inedible and had definitely been reheated from a previous day. Needless to say we will not be returning .

The fish is fantastic, (always in nice crispy batter), the chips are chippielicious and the staff are lovely. The food from this fish bar has been consistently wonderful for all the years it's been open. Cheers Mike

This is our local chippy and we can't recommend it highly enough! Fabulous food served with a smile excellent. Home made tartare sauce to die for!

Discovered this place at the weekend, as passing through on the way home to East Midlands airport. The food was outstanding, ordered a kebab for my son which he shared with my husband, who said it was one of the best that he has had!! I ordered fish bites, fishcake and chips, which were excellent value for money, as there were healthy portions for a family of four and plenty of leftovers. Customer service was excellent, the young lady behind the counter was very professional and gave my 14 yr old son some sweets!! Even though it is not my local, I will will certainly travel the extra miles to order again!!

Good sized and tasty cod - well cooked with a nice (non-greasy) batter.Chips are very nice - soft inside with a nice slightly crispy coating. Just about the best around here. Everything is well prepared and never less than hot, with homemade tartare sauce, well balanced curry sauce and moist mushy peas - what else can you ask for. Price is reasonable too.

Went with my friend and we both agreed it was the best kebab meat and chips we have had in a long time. The portions are very generous and service with a smile. Will be going back. Thank you.

The best chips I’ve had in ages -but not surprised as I recognised the guy behind the counter from another fish and chip shop in Nottingham which was also excellent (not so good since he’s gone )If you haven’t tried this place yet you should !

My partner and I have recently moved to Draycott last month and finally got round to trying our local chippy out so took a walk down. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the chip shop itself was when we walked in after seeing how the local ones where I grew up look! The staff were super friendly and cheerful and you could have a laugh with them. The food was served piping hot and into recyclable cardboard boxes, not the traditional paper you usually get that means you lose half your chips from them sticking to it! Got home and the food was as tasty as it looked and still hot! Will definitely be going back and recommend giving the place a go!

Draycott Fish & Chips has been under new ownership for a few weeks now and I’d heard good things so tried it last night. Small fish was plenty with very nice batter. Chips were plentiful and very tasty. All now served in a trendy box but got home still piping hot. I’ll be coming back for certain

Used your our group whenever we are In Draycott, a family run establishment so they are always helpful and obliging. Good honest helpings well cooked always piping hot.

Fui a esta tienda de chip en la tarde de jardines draycott abierto. Alrededor de las 13:15 empecé a sentir hambre y pensé que iría a este chips, sabiendo que estaba abierto hasta las 13:30. Había otras personas en el pueblo de estar en bancos en la calle disfrutando de las patatas fritas.Llegué a la tienda a las 13:20 y las puertas ya estaban cerradas. Quizás deberían cambiar el letrero en la puerta para reflejar el verdadero horas están abiertas.

Como celíaca, pescado y patatas fritas no es posible, pero he oído sobre este lugar, así que pensé que lo intentaría. Excelente gluten bacalao y patatas fritas! ! El personal es muy estaba al tanto, y hizo la experiencia muy fácil, también tienen gluten vinagre gratis y hacer su propio guisantes blandos! ! Excelente comida, muy especial para mí poder tener pescado y patatas chips con mi familia! !
