The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in South East

Decor/decorum was nice. Staff were nice enough.. Came in early evening with a couple of tables already inside. Food was okay but no wow factor to it. Didn’t think prices of items reflected what we got. They forgot an item that we ordered but gave us another item that we didn’t instead, so perhaps a mix up there. No check back to see how our meal was/for us to get another drink. Chorizo, calamari, mushrooms, a side salad with a med wine and bottle of beer with service charge came just shy of £60.. which I’m in two minds about, If it was worth it based on the overall visit. Overall experience was okay but wouldn’t go back in a hurry based on experience but perhaps a one off.

Lisa and the team impressed all our guests at our birthday lunch held here The buffet food was excellent in quality and quantity well laid out. The service was great and the staff were so accommodating Thank you for making it such a successful and memorable event

My partner and I popped into the bluebell whilst walking the South Downs on Sunday 13th April. Very friendly staff, great food and beer at sensible prices. What a breath of fresh air! Will certainly go back.

Superb new Indian food. The dishes are excellent and have amazing taste and texture. I’d recommend anyone to visit.

Food ok, staff very rude, land lady speaks down to you, bad atmosphere and needs more light in the pub as it is very grim in there

One of us chose the set menu the other tried the a la carte, both were great good value and the service was great, hope to visit again

Really good food, coffee and juice, just the right size portions for a much needed brunch after a big night out. It took a while as they were very busy but the staff let us know and we weren’t in a rush. It is a little bit pricey but also good value for the quality and quantity. So not an everyday breakfast joint but nice for a treaty brunch. One smoked salmon and scrambled egg and one avocado and cheese rarebit with bacon. Both well cooked (little bit of charring on the cheese toast but not an issue for me). We’d definitely go again if hungry and in the area.

Be warned! If you cancel within 24 hours they charge you £20pp!!! So even though I gave them over 5 hours notice and someone was sick I’ve now incurred a £80 charge for 4 people! Ridiculous for a small local restaurant! Supposedly nothing they can do as it’s a system thing?!? Visited many times before for drinks and was looking forward to trying the food but won’t be bothering now!!! Not a way to win customers mimis!

Love the hospitality in this place.. such warm people and lovely service.. we celebrated a friends 40th and they were just on point.. the food was fabulous and the staff were so kind to do some banner and balloon decorations.. love this place and cannot wait to get back with my girls..!

We recently used The Dining Room’s event service for a 70th birthday. The food was delivered on time and on lovely serving platters. It all looked incredible and tasted wonderful too - and we had loads left over to eat later as well! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be using them again and going into their restaurant!

My daughter took me here for dinner, we arrived early and were seated straight away by a lovely waitress. My daughter has allergies and intolerances but she was quickly told what was suitable on the menu. She started with the corn fritters which were delicious and I had some bread and olives, the bread was warm and the olives tasty so all good so far. The restaurant itself is lovely, nice ambience, views over the golf course and tastefully decorated. Fir mains we both opted for the steak, it came with butternut squash, triple cooked potatoes and creamed spinach, although due to her allergies she had broccoli instead of the spinach. From the description I was expecting the the potatoes to be really crisp, but they were just limp. The spinach was divine and the butternut squash well roasted but the steak hadn't been rested enough and leaked blood all over the plate and was tasteless with bits of gristle that to be honest could have been trimmed off. I had the what was described As chocolate delice, chocolate & almond ganache and chocolate ice cream, but the delice was gelatinous all the elements tasted the same. My daughter had the lemon tart but the pastry was not crisp but otherwise tasty. The wine flight was good value. To be honest I was a bit disappointed as with a few tweaks this could have been a lovely meal but the attention to detail was lacking. Also the staff need to be aware that they can be clearly heard by customers. We will give it another goat some point though.

A fantastic cafe with good food and staff . The owner is very friendly and cooks up a great English breakfast. The menu is vast as well and good for all. It is a friendly cozy and clean cafe we’ll recommended

Although I haven't eaten here yet, the items for sale cast you back and back and back to a time when people lived with good sense, they collected things to keep for life, and the sight of all those classic dishes, linens, brushes, lights, glassware and cutlery, etc etc makes me want to move back into the past and forget this modern time which feels so flimsy by comparison.

The food was absolutely amazing, really tasty and really generous portions. Lovely to be able to have such traditional Polish dishes locally. Lovely setting and decor too. Will definitely be back for more!
