The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in South East

Well known to one of my oldest friends, we have been before and no hesitation in making a quick return. Always given a warm and genuine welcome, a great menu and the chefs are on view, expert cooking on a hot grill with no hiding place! Starters quickly ordered and received, garlic mushrooms and calamari. We shared the Ephesus Special together with an ezme salad, all delicious. More than enough for two hearty appetites, who needs a dessert. Just looking again for the slightest excuse to return again.

Excellent food and service! Very nice chips and lasagne. Fish and chip portion huge!! Lovely friendly atmosphere. Fast service and waitress nice and friendly. Highly recommend. Definitely will return

Visited for Sunday lunch, v friendly meet and greet, limited menu, we ate lamb and beef roast dinners, well presented, v tasty and large portions, served with good wine and Loweswater Gold beer. Another excellent lunch, many thanks, we will return.

I Found this place easy to find and im glad i did, I really enjoyed the Food it was fresh and i had the House special Macaroni Cheese and Chicken. I recommend this restaurant to everyone

One of us chose the set menu the other tried the a la carte, both were great good value and the service was great, hope to visit again

Really good food, coffee and juice, just the right size portions for a much needed brunch after a big night out. It took a while as they were very busy but the staff let us know and we weren’t in a rush. It is a little bit pricey but also good value for the quality and quantity. So not an everyday breakfast joint but nice for a treaty brunch. One smoked salmon and scrambled egg and one avocado and cheese rarebit with bacon. Both well cooked (little bit of charring on the cheese toast but not an issue for me). We’d definitely go again if hungry and in the area.

Be warned! If you cancel within 24 hours they charge you £20pp!!! So even though I gave them over 5 hours notice and someone was sick I’ve now incurred a £80 charge for 4 people! Ridiculous for a small local restaurant! Supposedly nothing they can do as it’s a system thing?!? Visited many times before for drinks and was looking forward to trying the food but won’t be bothering now!!! Not a way to win customers mimis!

There is a snobbery around the use of the title chef and what qualifies you to use the title. For me, there is only one measure that matters - the quality of the plate and the ability to repeat that quality. Enter Jordan, chef at the Roost, and for me one of the best chefs I have ever experienced. Today we had lunch at the Roost and the lamb was a work of art, the texture of the meat, the flavour, and the entirety of the plate sent my pleasure endorphins into over-drive. I cannot thank him enough for deciding to practice his art in our small hamlet on the South Wales coast. Thanks to Jo, Andrew and Tom for exceptional service and for always being engaging and welcoming. You have created not just a venue but an experience. This review is focused solely on lunch but I have written before on the pub and accommodation which remain excellent. I have broken from my traditional good, bad and the ugly reviews because the only word for this dining experience is exceptional PS Nice beard Jordan.

Used to live in slough back in 2013. I thought this review was posted but found out in 2021 that its it was still in draft so here it goes lol. As a nepali, I never had a polish food before. One day i was just exploring slough, saw a polish restaurant and decided to try my very first polish meal and it certainly did not disappoint. Portions were big and colorful, it was well seasoned, very tasty with polish beer. I would go once a week there. I still remember after all these years. I would love to go there again.

Love the hospitality in this place.. such warm people and lovely service.. we celebrated a friends 40th and they were just on point.. the food was fabulous and the staff were so kind to do some banner and balloon decorations.. love this place and cannot wait to get back with my girls..!

Restaurant and rooms DISGUSTING!!! DO NOT VISIT!! FILTHY and should be shut down.

We recently used The Dining Room’s event service for a 70th birthday. The food was delivered on time and on lovely serving platters. It all looked incredible and tasted wonderful too - and we had loads left over to eat later as well! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be using them again and going into their restaurant!

Went for Afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary, I’m gluten free so had let the restaurant know when we booked. Ive had a few gluten free afternoon tea, some have been very disappointing, but this was the best. The rolls were very soft, pastries were very tasty. Scone were warm & soft. Bought some cakes home as I could not finish them all. Service was excellent. Definitely will return.
