The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in South Lakeland North West

Visited 3 times in the week after Christmas and it was consistently very good! The homemade soup with crusty bread is a must. Beware if you go late the soup may have run out! Would definitely recommend the bacon roll with so much lovely bacon. Coffee is also excellent!

Excellent little find ! We walked the full length of the high street and came upon this lovely little place. We had tuna salad and a tuna panini - cup of tea and a bottle of orange juice. Both fantastic ! Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Tucked away from the main drag in Bowness it’s a little delight. Hand made sandwiches to order and delicious looking cakes. Amazing value as well. Definitely worth making the effort to find it.

Beautiful food and beautiful memories created for a special birthday. Simon was phenomenal from the very start. The communication to arrange this surprise private chef experience was super easy, he was so accommodating and created a beautiful menu to meet the fussiest of eaters needs. The food was delicious, the atmosphere Simon brings is relaxed and a real personal experience. We’ve already looked at booking him again for an evening at the end of this year. Thank you Simon!

First visit here and won’t be our last! The food was lovely, tasty and fresh. We went in a Sunday and it was very busy - I’d advise booking!

Food and service both excellent. Had the 4 course lunch menu, snacks and bread made meant we had 7 dishes in total. Every course was explained by staff and it was great to see Chefs coming out of the kitchen to serve and describe some of the dishes. We had a drink in the bar to start and coffee in the lounge afterwards. Some of the best non alcoholic mocktails and infusions I've ever seen, including a delicious 0% espresso martini. Will definitely be back, was a great experience, so relaxing and left feeling very content.

Service was slow. Food seemed to take ages. When it arrived it wasn’t very warm. I ordered fish and chips. Chips were ok but fish batter was pale and soft. I asked for vinegar (standard) and the waitress decided it was a better idea to prepare a round of drinks before bringing the condiments to the table. So I said there with food in front of me waiting ages for vinegar. This place is average and £17 for poor fish n chips is outrageous.

Dog friendly cafe/bar with inside and outside seating and a history of Bonnie Prnce Charlie. Lovely food selection and cake; staff couldn't be more helpful and the birds enjoyed our crumbs! 😋

Lovely waters very very nice. The dinner was beautiful. I think everyone will love it. It was an amazing pub for my family.

Called in on our way to the Lakes, group of 6 friends. Staff could not be more helpful , all friendly and welcoming. Food was absolutely delicious.

Whilst walking in Arnside we decided to call into The Wagtail for a latte. The owner served us at our table and was very friendly ,our coffee was lovely. On leaving I bought a freshly baked Beef n Potato pasty to take home. Served at home with some mushy peas,I can honestly say it was one of the best pasties ive ever had. Plenty of large pieces of beef with chunks of potato in a well made pastry. It tasted fantastic. I believe that you can have the pies delivered to your home,frozen and ready for the oven. Would I return ... Yes definately.

Love visiting Kirkby Lonsdale and always stay at the Orange Tree. Great pub with a fantastic friendly atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Special shoutout to Kate and Lise. Rooms are to a high standard , spotlessly clean and well maintained. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast is ridiculously good and sourced from a local award winning butcher. We would highly recommend staying at the Orange Tree or just calling for food and drinks.

Fantastic food and friendly staff and brilliant DJ, funny quiz nights and lovely atmosphere, definitely recommend for families and couples
