Visited Butterflies with a friend for lunch after a long walk. I was immediately taken by how cute and cosy the cafe was, and very much enjoyed the food (we had vegetable soup, veg chilli jacket potato, and toffee roulade). You get a good sized meal for your money, and the food was all affordable and just what we needed after a day of exploring. The menu was mostly classic cafe lunches - jacket potatoes, sandwiches, etc. - with plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options available to suit a variety of diets. Cafe owner was very friendly and I'll definitely be popping in again next time I visit Newcastle Emlyn :)

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE LOVELY LADY WHO COOKED OUR BREAKFAST FOR US EVEN THOUGH THE CAFE WASN'T OPEN. WE CALLED FOR A BREAKFAST BAGUETTE ON THURSDAY MORNING AND ENJOYED IT SO MUCH WE DECIDED TO GO FOR THE BREAKFAST AS WE HAD BEEN ON HOLIDAY AND WE'RE ON OUR WAY HOME ON FRIDAY 29TH SEPT. SHE PUT HERSELF OUT FOR US AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOVELY LITTLE CAFE.

Great wee venue. Lots of great bands come through to play. Quite a good sound. Nice atmosphere. If you’re a beer fan (cwrw) then you’ll be delighted with the choices. Great beers on draft and fridges full of Belgian beers and much more!

Visited on a busy weekend and luckily got a table. The guy who greeted us was very friendly and active in the shop, making sure everyone was okay. I visited with my partner and friends, we had two pots of teas and baguette/toasties. Although I can’t comment on the toasties the baguette was delicious! It seemed very fresh and artisan; a nice thin crunchy outside but soft and fluffy inside. The ham and cheese were both really high quality and it went down a treat. Not being a massive tea drinker I wasn’t sure what to go for but ended up with an Earl Grey Rose tea. It was delicious. A subtle touch of rose brought the whole thing together very well. I enjoyed so much I bought a bag to take home. The shop had a nice atmosphere. When I visited the main clientele were older people, but although my group all being in our early-early 20s, we didn’t feel out of place, which was nice. I know this can be awkward for some people. The place was clean and tidy and warm. It is a cosy place to spend a hour having a chat, a tea and a bite to eat. Definitely want to go again. Also very surprised by the nice initiatives in place, but I won’t say more as I’d hate to ruin the surprise for any newcomers. Staff were also kind and friendly too. Thanks for a nice experience and tasty tea

Great friendly place to lunch. Advisable o book ahead as its that popular . I opted for omelette without salad my husband chose the chilli jacket which came with cheese , salad & coleslaw. Mine arrived with beans, enough to keep 4 cowboys happy. :-) All served with a smile of course. Hubby had a glass of lager & I had a small glass of wine. For under £30 that considering the quality of the food and the portions sizes was very reasonable. Would definitely go back, nothing on their lunch menu was over £9 .

Staying up here for a week at the strady park hotel saw this pub right next to it went in first impressions great. Good greating from staff and very friendly had the mixed grill was really good and price ok shame about the chips to greasy and like stodge great price for beer. Went back next day had the burger again great but same again the chips are the same sorry you need to look into this back again had the salmon but sorry for the price of it was not worth it vegetables cold and peas hard had the sea food basket as well thinking it was going to come out in a basket but came out in a type of high tub with just a few bits of what looked like frozen sea food. Also had the loaded fries bad mistake same stodgy chips but with looked like a jar of shop bought tika sauce pored over it. Just one more thing the big guy chef should make a better appearance of himself and also decide whether he works in the kitchen or in the kitchen. But on a good note with maybe a few changes could just be a bit better but if we come back this way will call in again

Over to visit my mum & decided to call into the Raven. Traditional looking pub with lots of car parking & outside area for drinking etc. very friendly staff. Traditional pub menu with some added specialities like ribs etc that I will order next time. A good selection on the menu & the food was presented well, tasted great & portion sizes were very good & I could not clear my plate! I really recommend the Raven.
