Stumbled across this little cafe accidently but very glad we did. Calm atmosphere, extremely lovely staff and amazing coffee. We had a quick stop with 3 homemade cakes all yummy and had a friendly chat with the staff.

Had a warm welcome here today. Both my friend and I had jacket potato with beans and cheese, it was a proper baked jacket potato, delicious. Lots of bits of different salad to go with it. All very nice will call again.

Called in to make a query about a part for an electric bike. We happened to have to hang about in Cross Hands whilst our motorhome was being serviced at a nearby workshop. It was a cold November day and we sought coffee and something good to eat while we waited. This place would meet both requirements we (mistakenly) thought. The reception from the person at the counter of the bike shop was less than helpful. And the coffee shop was just a corner of the showroom. So one would be eating, accompanied by the all-pervading smell of bike tyres. Given the ambience, and the unhelpful owner, we went elsewhere.

Popped into Bean on a Bike on the way from Cirencester to Pembrokeshire. Very warm welcome and delicious home cooked food. Loved the bean and chilli soup. Great coffee too. Well sorted to continue our journey in the rain. Thanks Bean Team!

This coffee shop associated with a bike shop is in an unlikely location, we thought, but well-worth visiting with the very friendly manager and enjoying their delicious coffees.

I have stopped at this cafe numerous times between Aber and Cardiff. The quality of the homemade food and service is always excellent as is the coffee. It is easy to find and has ample parking.

An absolute gem near the end of the m4 and just a couple of minutes off the A48. Delicious wholesome homemade food and a warm welcome from all the staff who were also super helpful about my allergy to sulphites. We loved the savoury vegetable pie, sweet potato and bean bake, and forest fruits cheesecake. A fabulous pit stop whether you are local or travelling through this part of wales.

This was the worst breakfast ever, £17.20 for two very small coffees and two child size breakfast, bacon was cheap, beans was a spoonful, and the rest of the breakfast was even worst. Very oily, plates had a terrible smell of dirty washing up water, you should change your washing up water every time you wash up. To be asked do you want white or brown toast, and then within seconds before the breakfast is served to say we only got brown, this should of been mentioned straight away. For staff not to ask if everything is ok, I think they no themselves that they can’t cater for breakfast, just salads. I would not recommend this place for a coffee or breakfast, and very over priced. £17.20 to be left with a fat oily taste in your mouth.

We decided to stop here as an alternative to the big services nearby and we were SO pleased that we did. With two vegans in our party - I cant remember the last time I had such a lovely meal. It was fresh, original and really reasonable in price. The manager/chef took real pride in her work (and rightly so!) She was even kind enough to share some of her reciepe ingredients. Sadly I live many hours away otherwise I would make this a regular stop off. Thankyou.

Bean on a bike came to the rescue big time today on the County Cycles Double Dragon cycling sportive. Free breakfast at the start of this 130 mile brute and a complimentary spicy sausage stew at the end. Staff are incredibly friendly and the food doesn't disappoint. A hidden gem of a find.

What a treat! The guys who run this cafe not only cater to cyclists but are an Oasis in what is otherwise a dessert for food in this beautiful part of Wales. The brownie was particularly good!

This was an unexpected delight. We called in to County Cycles to look at their range of bikes, to find this little gem of a cafe also on the premises. The staff were very friendly and helpful, paying particular attention to my dietary requirements (I'm a vegan). The food was delicious - I had a beetroot and orange salad which was freshly made and beautifully presented. My husband opted for spicy bean soup (one of two soups of the day), and said that was very satisfying. As well as the standard menu they had a board with four (I think) dishes of the day, and they had a mouth-watering display of home-made cakes and desserts. We'll definitely call in here again when we're in the area.

We visited for the first time this week for lunch and we're glad we've found such a lovely cafe. The food was great, freshly cooked joints of ham for ham salads, home grown veg used in the food and salads. An amazing homemade soup - the best soup I've had for a long time! Fabulous salads that were ultra fresh and full of a wide range of ingredients. The staff were really friendly and helpful and they were happy to adapt dishes to suit our needs. We'll definitely be going back again.

Called yesterday, 4 of us, 3 had a veg bake that they enjoyed & I had the pulled pork salad, very nice, salad was enjoyed by all, hadn’t had watermelon in a salad before. With 2 teas & 2 coffees, all came to just under £34. Too full for sweet though the victoria sandwich looked very nice. Friendly staff as always.

We visit here very regularly and always enjoy fantastic coffee, along with the most delicious home-baked cakes. Today’s visit was no exception: yet again, the coffee was excellent, and we entered into Cake Heaven when we ordered the Mokka Chocolate Brownie and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The brownie was served at just the right temperature - warm - accompanied by cream and a perfect strawberry.

We found this cafe by accident. We only went in to buy an inner tube for a bike and saw the coffee shop. We have been back a lot since that first visit because of the people who run it and the amazing home made food. You can always rely on Sandra, Sue, Sue and the weekend girls for a friendly welcome and good food. The only difficult thing is to go in there and only have coffee with all the tempting food on display. A lot of the clientele are cyclists but you will also find non cyclists in there, like us. This is our favourite place in the area.

There is a great reason the BEAN ON A BIKE is five stars. Read all the previous comments and you'll understand why. I can't really add anything that wasn't said. I only wish we lived closer, this would definitely be a go to spot for us.

A group of eight of us were on a cycle tour of South Wales and we called on this lovely cafe in County Cycles and couldn't have been made more welcome. The food was homemade, freshly prepared and really rather wonderful! Pulled pork panini, corned beef pie, cheese pie, the best omelette we've ever had. Chocolate brownies, Welsh cakes, flapjacks, coffee cake, Victoria sponge. Homegrown salad. A great range of coffees, teas and other drinks. All-in-all not to be missed!

Called in today after reading previous reviews. Well worth a detour. Great coffee and while the choice of meals was limited, it did not matter as everything looked very appetising. We had Pulled Pork baguettes with salad. The baguette and the pulled pork were excellent. The salad was the best I have tasted. Full marks. Can't wait to visit again.

We found this cafe by accident, when we went into the bike shop to buy an inner tube. Sandra, who runs it and all of her staff are so cheerful and friendly. The bonus is that the coffee and food are delicious. Nearly everything is homemade. Today I had jacket potato with chicken and mango with salad. It was so tasty and not something I would have considered to make myself. The cakes look amazing too but I can't comment on their taste because I am always too full after the lunch! This is the best place for lunch in the area and we have enjoyed every one of our visits.

This little cafe is well worth seeking out. It's in a strange location, in the corner of a bicycle shop, County Cycles, on the industrial estate. Apart from good coffee and excellent cakes you'll find interesting salads and a selection of hot dishes, quiches, pasta bakes, pies, etc. The food is all freshly made by Sandra, who also runs every other aspect of this one-woman operation. Bean on a Bike is open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, six days a week, closed on Wednesdays.
