One of the best little pubs in carmarthen. Always had a brilliant experience here. Can't wait for my next return.

Excellent bar with great music, real ales, friendly staff and the best Guinness in town!

Fantastic bar where you can drink a variety of craft ales, lagers + ciders, a friendly mixed crowd, an enjoyable atmosphere where you can listen to grass roots music usually at the weekend or open mic, comedy or games nights during the week. Well away from the usually crowd, I’d highly recommend as the best bar in Carmarthen.

Very pleasant pub, broad choice of beers, there was music on, on the Tuesday when we visited but it wad normally chess night on Tuesday. Encouraged donation of £5 for the musicians. Veet dog friendly. Broad range of people. Eclectic furniture and decor. Looks a bit Bland deom the outside but do go in. It was lovely

Lovely bar full of personality with so much choice of ales, ciders etc. Friendly welcome and great service. We loved the free play arcade game ( pac man , Galaga etc)

The recently lauded unique bar experience recently described in the Guardian newspaper didn't disappoint. Craft beers and a unique style and ambience result in a pleasant visit everytime.

I always try and make time to visit cwrw when I'm in the area. You can't help but love the place amazing beer and amazing staff. And the diary is always full with gigs, comedy nights, open mics and all things entertainment. One of a kind in Carmarthen!! Thanks for the good times.

My wife and I were both looking forward to popping into a warm vibrant pub (it was Friday lunchtime) as we had heard some good reports. Inside it was freezing cold (warmer outside) with just a handful of customers and no bar staff at all! We waited about 10 minutes at the bar but no one was around to serve us. I called out 3 times to no avail. Nobody knew where the staff were? So we left, cold, thirsty and disappointed. Not sure I want to go back?

Great gig venue, top selection of beers in excellent condition on tap and huge can selection. Sound system for bands really great. Can't comment on food as haven't eaten there.

Great bar, arty, has great gigs, reasonably priced, with a decor that is completly charismatic and original. Lots of local talent showcasesed here. This is not a pub to miss if you find yourself in carmarthen for the day.. or if your local, great staff too! Love the way the performers get to put thier name on th wall! Check it out!

I have only visited during the day (so far) and I love this bar/venue. Great choice of drinks, interesting decor, good music, great bar staff - friendly and chatty. Also has a great record shop above it! I believe they also sell bar food snacks too. I look forward to seeing some live music here in the future!!

What an absolutely fantastic pub, first time visiting Cwrw and was met with a warm atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and fantastic games on offer. Probably the best pub I've visited in a long time.

Lovely little bar, which is very unassuming from the outside but fantastic decor and atmosphere once you are in it! Very large selection of craft beers in tins and bottles and a good number on tap too. Staff were very friendly and chatty and made me feel welcome as I visited on my own in the evening

Loved this venue. Not been before but went for a charity comedy night and had a brilliant night. Loads of great beers, brilliant service and love the decor. Look forward to coming back and jealous we don’t have somewhere similar close to us!

King Street is one of the main reasons to shop in Carmarthen and in Cwrw you will find a glorious, treasure trove of craft ales and other alcoholic beverages. A fine selection of Welsh offerings alongside plenty from further afield. You can sit in for a social but for me, it's the takeaway selection that's the main draw. A jewel in the crown of Carmarthen's growing independent retail scene.

Quirky little locally owned bar with an independent record store. Great staff and good local beer selection. Fantastic atmosphere for a gig even if it did get rather sweaty.

100% rate this place. Wicked cool vibes, colourful artwork and decor. Amazing for craft beer, a small selection on tap plus another hundred odd cans of craft beer, sour beer, hazys, tipa’s, dipa’s, etc. well known craft breweries like tiny rebel, pollys, deya, siren etc. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Loads of games to play. Wholesome experience all round!

Cracking little find on the end of king st Carmarthen. Massive selection of beers and ciders to chose from my jaw almost hit the floor. Brilliant service from the staff and a very lovely warm welcoming feeling as soon as you enter the door. A true hidden gem and nowhere like it in Carmarthen. Very reasonably priced too which is always a bonus We will be back again

Finally after lockdown we had a day trip out from Haverfordwest to Carmarthen. We have noticed Cwrw a few times before, now it's open in we went. The place is run by Mike a knowledgeable chap and knows his beers, 5 different beers were on and one cider, we tried the Tiny Rebel pale and a delicious stout . There's also a good choice of bottles and cans in a huge fridge to take home. The bar is very clean and tidy with some quirky touches. Friendly and welcoming with plenty of seating, all in all a credit to Mike and his staff. I wish there was a bar like this in Haverfordwest. We'll be back soon!

Dangerously welcoming! I started to forget my worries the moment I walked in the door. This pub is the stuff of dreams: Awesome owner. Dog friendly. Superb choice of ales. And don't even get me started on the record shop and pizzas!

CWRW means BEER in Welsh.. and honestly, they MEAN beer! I've had my taste buds opened up by this place and have explored some unique IPA's and interesting brews. Have also found my all time favourite beers here. CWRW not only offers beers, it has a very cosy feel and friendly atmosphere. (inspired by quirky colourful venues in Liverpool). The live music events they have played in the past have been immense fun and having attended the poetry nights, film nights, afterparties for Art Galleries and Life Drawing classes, CWRW really offers it all! I highly recommend visiting CWRW if your in town, even an afternoon Coffee is a good shout, plus there's the Tangled Parrot Record Shop upstairs too! (open during the day). Honestly the best thing to happen in Carmarthen, I love this uniquely creative place and gorgeous beers it offers. (CWRW also has an online shop you can order beers from).

Stopped in to Cwrw before a dinner we’d booked, and ended up coming back after. Great selection of craft beers and nice atmosphere. Staff were lovely, and had a chat with us re: our rummy tournament. Will def go back if we’re in the area- thanks Cwrw!

Slightly on the edge of the town centre, but well worth seeking out! Brilliant craft beers, cider and lager Landlord super friendly and informative Amazing techno-colour decor and good music playing (but not too loudly) Very comfortable and a brilliant place to chill There are even new and second-hand cd’s and vinyl for sale in a shop upstairs in a separate business called the Tangled Parrot Go there to chill in a super relaxed atmosphere!
