Very disappointing Sunday lunch. Last time I visited some time ago was excellent. However, today inedible. Had the four meat selection. Three of the meats were inedible as poor quality meat, and tough, chewy, flavourless. Put my meat on partners plate and even he left it. Put me off rest of meal. The Yorkshire was freezer burnt so no luck there. Either they have changed owners or chef. Won’t be going again for Sunday lunch for sure.

Having a dine in on a Sat night. Didn't quite fancy a night in a pub. I love these out of hours, friendly places. Just a coffee in movie world.

My local store. My son loves the cafe. We go there for a cuppa or a quick bite. The food is really nice especially the fish and chips, like the breakfasts and the sandwich, cake and drink deal is also really good!. The store itself could possibly do with a little refurb as some of the freezers sometimes not work but I do there when I have offers on my more card or when I need to pick up a few bits

Normally when visiting Newport for training at the velodrome I stop at another coffee house but for the last few weeks the training sessions have been earlier, and the normal place has been shut. The staff have been pleasant, and the coffee was nice… I did have a toasted teacake with jam on one occasion, but the jam was far to sugary… Next week I think we'll try the place next door and see how that is, but all in all a reasonable place for a coffee and I would go back. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting. I hope this review was of help, please consider following my travels & reviews in the autumn of my life.

Overpriced for what tasted like burnt coffee.

Waited far too long for a piece of tortilla with a salad, when it came salad had no dressing, young girl told me they didn't have dressing, did not come back as promised so I left the whole meal. Terrible service and food.

Disappointing Half-Term Experience – Unacceptable Customer Service I recently visited during half-term week, eager to treat my children to the hot meal deal they were looking forward to. We arrived at 2:35 pm, expecting to find it open as per the 10 am - 4 pm hours posted. However, a sign indicated the staff were on break and would return by 3:05 pm. My kids were disappointed but willing to wait, so we took a short walk and returned to the café just before 3:00 pm. When the staff member came back at 3:05 pm, I politely requested the children’s hot meal deal. To my disbelief, she informed me there would be no hot food available because they were closing at 4:00 pm. I was stunned—there was no indication that hot meals would stop being served well before closing time, and we’d waited specifically for the return of the staff in hopes of enjoying the advertised menu. I understand and respect that staff need breaks, but if the establishment is open until 4:00 pm, it should serve the full menu until that time, especially during the busy half-term period. Waiting for 30 minutes with four children, only to be told that the café wouldn’t fulfill the advertised menu, felt like a complete lack of regard for customers. When I expressed my frustration, the staff member defensively replied, “Sorry for having a break,” missing the point entirely—my issue wasn’t with her break but with the café's failure to provide adequate service during posted hours. It is certainly not the customers fault that the cafe is understaffed.
