Morrisons in Newport

Great shop found stuff that I've been looking for for a while

Although some products are great, others are not, for example this half-used pepper in a sealed package.

Not the best range for a Morrison's but you could get most of what you want no pfs I think the price's seem to be creaping up as well

Very reasonable price for breakfast

Usually I would have rated them 5 stars but we used the coffee shop after getting the shopping and the normal excellent service was marred by a very slow barista who made a coffee so bad it was undrinkable...

Good produce and ample parking.

The vegetables they stock an fruit are absolutely disgusting, always gone off

Leading the way at the moment with more environmentally friendly packaging! 2022, need more boots on the ground! Two occasions; Deli counter, pretty much never anyone there, hung around for a while, asked the guy on the butchery section if he could get someone, said she'll be back from her break soon, gave up and left! Checkouts, no one at all, one member of staff on the self service tills, gave up, left the trolley and walked out. April 2023, 4 tills manned, think they are getting the picture! 👍

Standard supermarket fully stocked, nice fish and meat counters

The price is reasonable and the staff is serious about their work.

Only go here for certain things not a big shop but This Morrisons has everything including a cafe 😁

Easy to navigate and love the fresh meat, fresh fish and on site bakery sections

Went to buy flowers but there wasn't a very good selection with most looking past their best. I bought a potted plant instead.

The environment is okay but things are little bit expensive

Useful to pop into get milk etc but on the whole the store is laid out in the most confusing way. E.g. I wanted an extension lead but couldn't find one in the electronic isle. The next time I went in there (after buying one elsewhere) I discovered them by the toothpaste!! Also more expensive than Asda which is a 3 min drive so usually go there

Much the same as every Morrisons

It's OK for reductions but Saturday/sunday you'll be hard pressed to find much fresh produce left. The biggest issue with this store is the lack of assistance at the self checkout, it's a frequent occurrence that the self checkouts play up with weights or card readers and you'll sometimes be waiting 5-10 minutes waiting for a member of staff to come and help you. Not a gripe at the staff atall, it's busy, I get it, but it does leave you wanting to get out ASAP when the card readers are offline like today, and one till open. Cash/card self Checkout (only 2 avalaible) are taken off by 9pm. So it leaves you no option but to pay with card.

Staff rude, always mess on the floor, boxes etc. Only reason to go there is location

I tend to stick to my local supermarket so only visit Morrisons occasionally when I need specific meat. I have always been happy with my shop in Morrisons and I joined the loyalty scheme as there were some great offers to be had. The butchers department is always great for steak and he is happy to help with cutting a thicker steak if necessary. The wine area also has some unbeatable offers on time to time. It is well worth dropping in to 'change up' the weekly shopping now and again for different meal ideas.

The toilets are the best! It's my favourite stop in the morning to drop a brown onion

It wasn't like the one in Swansea... The stores their are super good..all of them...

It's a pleasant store to visit never overly busy, plenty of spaces in the car park, staff always helpful, all sign posted so items can be found easy

Coffee shop .only had tea Machines broken. Had to ask for milk...... store badly stocked. Cash desks only one open.... do.not recommend a visit

Took the family for afternoon meal. Great customer service. Even though they have run out on what we wanted but staff were very helpful. We end up all with a smile. Will revisit again

For a business started in the 1800's things are going well

Like the butchers and salad bar but expensive for full weekly shop

Supermarket, good choice of products, reasonably priced,cheaper than tesco and asda. So not too bad

I went to Morrisons today looking for a fresh sponge cake for tonight for a birthday meal as was let down last minute, the lovely ladies on the cake counter came to my rescue. Thank you so do much you are life savers xx

Lovely British meat, friendly staff and if a product isn't on the shelf the staff will have a look in the warehouse to see if it's come in with the latest delivery. Their in store made bread looks, smells and tastes delicious. Parking is easy.

Great store caters for everyone, and the cafe and toilets were smelliest and dirty.

Went for breakfast, store very quiet but seemed like quite a few staff in cafe ordered poached eggs with avocado on muffin with coffee. Accepted order but then told us could only do fried egg which we didn’t want. Refund given but three staff to do this on the till so there were plenty of staff?? No reason given?

My husband and I have been several times while it's been half price food,we've been very pleased with the fast service and good food.

Toilet facilities dirty smelling Floors are Filthy in restaurant and husband found hair in food Told that short staffed which ok standards would slip slightly but there is a non standard you should expect and you shouldn’t have to clean your trainers when you leave!

Why say your open until 7pm if when you place an order at 6:35pm you get told that they are closing down and can’t complete any of the cooked food! Terrible and very disappointing!

A little bit slow on the till to take orders.Ordered two jackets one with prawn cocktail and one with cheese & beans.Both came with side salad.Minimal prawns added.Cheese and beans very average.Jackets themselves were average. Needed another 20 minutes in the oven really.An average lunch unfortunately.

The whole of store is the most wheel chair navigable and aid provided premises for the disabled we have found in all Newport, for example see photo [Reserved tables which wheel chair user can move right into to dine comfortably and arthritic large handled cutlery is available.] We are Newport residents.The staff in the cafe are friendly and really helpful whilest remaining professional.The breakfast must be one of the best buys too, especially the vegetarian option- although we had finished by 8.30 we could only manage a tiny lunch later.

We were late getting up after a late night and not many places offer a breakfast after 11am. Morrisons runs it until around 4pm I think.Self service is available for purchase.Breakfast is very reasonable for the content and quality.Staff were also friendly.Would recommend.

My wife and I ate here as we wanted a quick and cheap meal. Morrison’s always offer a good selection of food this outlet was clean and the staff friendly food was hot and freshly cooked

Having a cooked meal at the Corporation Rd restaurant. Greeted by the women on the till in a very abrupt manner, it was quite funny in a strange sort of way, she clearly hasn't had a great day but never mind it'll soon be home time.The food was ok no grumbles there.

After shopping decided to treat my wife to lunch, which we both thoroughly enjoyed beautifully cooked meals at very reasonable prices- please see photos, so good just had to let you know. There is plenty of room for wheelchairs both in the store (unique for supermarkets as far as we know) and cafe, which is why we go there often.

We had a voucher for my wifes birthday for a free breakfast so decided yo use it. The food wad good and fresh and plentiful

Firstly I LOVE my cooked breakfasts. Having been around other supermarkets trying out the breakfasts I decided to try a breakfast one saturday morning here after many people telling me it was the best. Either they were joking or I was the most unluckiest person to recieve what I did.

Reasonable food with a serve yourself from counter and pay at end with cooked meals on order and remarkably low prices.

Stopped in for coffee and cake. Cake stale and no plates to put it on. Coffee machine empty. Accused my friend of walking off with a cake when she had actually put it on the tray. Staff useless. Wouldn't go there again.

I have been to Morrison's regular for meal's .they are always enjoyable and cheap. I really recommend their breakfast. Their cakes are also nice .

Highly recommend the fish and chips. Good size fish and plenty of chips. Very good menu. Clean and tidy cafe.

With a function next door at the Lysaghts centre, and everyone wanting a quick bite at the published break they need to move staff to deal with them quickly. But quite good for this type of place. Good, not very good.

Stopped here to do a little bit of shopping and to get a drink and some food, enroute from Swansea to Devon. Very nice restaurant, spacious and airy, good food and service, well kept and clean.

I was shopping with my son, we were both famished. I said where could we go so he suggestedthis store. It was great, The food came very quickly and so reasonable. We had two breakfasts andmugs of tea for two. SIMPLES.

Had a good Fish and Chip dinner Excellent value friendly service will go again also after 3pm good offers available and children eat at reduced priced

typical supermarket restaurant,food is fine edible and hot,watch out when ordering the breakfast as unless you specify you could end up with the crust for fried bread and it is rock hard
