Great venue. Service v good. V pleasant waitress. Owner and baker hands one. Bread tolls brill. Cakes/pastries lovely

I really like the food at this place. Just docking two stars because it's always a gamble whether they're open or not. Business hours on Google not to be trusted in their case. I don't recall how many rivers we've made the 10min drive only took find them closed!

Great food good service surprised me with the quality of the steaks we had my wife said the best stake she has had in a long time

Dropped in for coffee after visiting the Roman Baths just a few steps away. The staff were really friendly and service was excellent; the coffee was wonderfully smooth and full bodied and we managed to eat one of the enormous vanilla slices which had been baked locally. Wished we lived closer ... what's not to like?

I Don’t mind dogs , but when you walk into a cafe and a pair of dogs jump up onto you and bark a lot , their owners didn’t seem to understand that some people are afraid of dogs. Every time someone came it started all over again. The food and service was excellent , but if there were dogs in there again I would order a drink and if the barking and jumping started I wouldn’t eat there.

Stopped serving food 30 minutes before advertised times. Not impressed. Went to other pub 1/2 mile away. Much better experience. Won't be trying again custom lost.

Waited at bar to order food, barmaid had back to me and carried on cleaning wine glasses, served by gentlemen in the end. The barmaid had a face like doom.

Great service really good food, and good value pub food. There is also a car park opposite the pub. Overall we had a really nice night.

Popped into this cafe when visiting the Roman baths. We were met by very friendly staff who were courteous and helpful. We ordered Panninis, scones, tea, and coffee and were treated to very tasty food. The scones were so good we took some home. Great little cafe to remember for future visits.
