So I ordered an afternoon tea as a treat for myself and my daughter. It was amazing! Being a vegetarian Im really fussy when it comes to food. Linda did an excellent tea for us. 100 💯 highly recommend. Best one i have ever had.

Went for dinner Saturday 19th August. Had a very warm welcome from Morgan and the two waitresses. Restaurant and bar looks great with a pleasant atmosphere. Looking at the menu there was a tasty range of dishes to choose from. I understand this changes regularly with the Chef, James, showcasing his formidable talents. I was blown away by what came out, each dish serving up a symphony of tastes and textures, my photos do not do them justice (I forgot to take picture of main- beef ragu, in my haste to get started on it). I could not fault Selar and will certainly return, hopefully not driving next time so I can sample their extensive wine list and cocktails. Exceptional value, quality and experience. I real gem for the area.

Hubby and me went here for a brunch lunch yesterday (Tuesday). It is situated in a Grade 11 Victorian wooden railway station building. We both ordered the small plate Rocket breakfast @ £8 and a side bowl of chips @ £2.30 (contactless card payments accepted). The breakfast consisted of 1 rasher of bacon, 1 pork sausage, 1 hash brown, 1 fried egg, 1 spoonful of beans, 1 plum tomato, 1 thin slice of toast (choice of white or brown bread) and 1 mug of tea (or coffee). It's a shame that all of the breakfast items were barely warm. However, the chunky chips were nice and hot. The staff were polite. Last orders are at 2 p.m. so I would suggest that you get there no later than 1.45 p.m. You have to ask for the key to the toilet which is located outside at the back.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The owners were very friendly, room was clean and although there’s a pub downstairs it wasn’t too loud

Lovely , friendly community run pub tucked away on the main street. Staff and locals make everyone feel welcome. We shall return , but if a gem !

This is a lovely, friendly art gallery that has a good selection of Chris Neale prints which was the original draw to the shop. It was a nice surprise to find that it also hosts a small coffee/tea room too which was good value and served up in very fancy cups!

Ordered food at 12.30 no food at gone 1 ..chef ,/ proprietor came out 1.25 wafting till receipts saying his order till had not gone through to kitchen. Through out his time no apology for wait ..he rudely said food was ready 1 hour + later but he'd rather give us a refund than give us food and compensate for their mistake . We left without a meal ,fine mistakes happen but not spotting their only customers haven't been served and then being rude and abrupt won't get the place back on its feet . We are locals and could generate quite a bit of all year round business but will not go there again

This place doesn’t look like much. It’s a bit run down and not exactly welcoming but we always call in when on holiday for their sandwiches and sausage rolls. Fresh bread rolls. We always have ham, salad and coleslaw baps. Proper thick ham. Seems to be where the Welsh locals get their lunch! Definitely worth popping in for a sandwich and very well priced. £12 for 3 baps and a sausage roll! Can’t go wrong!
