Hubby and me went here for a brunch lunch yesterday (Tuesday). It is situated in a Grade 11 Victorian wooden railway station building. We both ordered the small plate Rocket breakfast @ £8 and a side bowl of chips @ £2.30 (contactless card payments accepted). The breakfast consisted of 1 rasher of bacon, 1 pork sausage, 1 hash brown, 1 fried egg, 1 spoonful of beans, 1 plum tomato, 1 thin slice of toast (choice of white or brown bread) and 1 mug of tea (or coffee). It's a shame that all of the breakfast items were barely warm. However, the chunky chips were nice and hot. The staff were polite. Last orders are at 2 p.m. so I would suggest that you get there no later than 1.45 p.m. You have to ask for the key to the toilet which is located outside at the back.

Excellent welcome, great menu with lots of home made food - we were served quickly with home cooked, hot food and thoroughly enjoyed it. Have a look at the home made soups - pea and ham was incredible with home baked sourdough… Worth a visit and supporting a local business by avoiding the chains and pubs found all too frequently now…!

We must have visited the cafe on a bad day. The staff were lovely, but very busy and overwhelmed. We ordered 4 meals. It took 31 minutes to make two kids burgers and poached eggs on toast. The 4th meal was forgotten and took 40 minutes. The smashed avocado with bacon and poached eggs on toast arrived without bacon. They did bring that out in a hurry on a plate. The smashed avocado was clearly guacamole, with a few avocado-bits, which didn't really go with the meal. The coronation chicken was overcooked (probably microwaved) and flavourless. The toilet-situation was also a bit weird, but I get why you need a key. It felt weird to occupy 6 toilets and some urinals just for 1 person though.

After this being recommended by another shopkeeper we decided to have lunch here. We found a table and I joined the queue to order food, while my friend asked where the toilets were for her and her son. She was told in an un friendly, nonchalant manner there were no toilet facilities and advised to go to the bus station or Wetherspoons. Off she went whilst I continued to queue, moments later the woman in front of me who had just ordered, asked for the toilet key and was given it. I didn’t bother continuing to queue and we went across to Wetherspoons to eat the food as well as use the toilets. I’ve since read some of the reviews on here and the toilet policing seems a common theme. I’m not sure how people are deemed fit to use the loos, but we didn’t meet the standards required.

With the limited options for cafe’s in Pwllheli Buffers provides a satisfying destination for daytime dining or just a cup of tea. The menu reflects good honest British cafe food, well cooked and large portions with friendly service. Definitely better than Wetherspoons across the road.

I ate lunch here whilst waiting for my wife to arrive by train. I visited with my dog and we were both made welcome. She was even given a free sausage! I only had a light lunch, which was good, but the plates delivered to other diners looked very appetising. A very pleasant place to dine or snack . Inside and outside seating options

We went here for lunch today before heading home from holiday at Hafan-Y-Mor. I went off the good reviews but i don't want anyone else making the mistake we made. It is a quirky setting but it is freezing and dirty. There was a 40 minute wait of food as the chef in his own words said he "couldn't microwave it all quick enough". Managed to get a table inside luckily as they had closed off half of the sitting area at it's busiest time of the day but it was still cold inside and the tables were filthy. My coat (as i had to keep it on) was sticking to it, even after wiping it. We ordered 2 Ivor breakfasts and a Thomas the tank engine breakfast. After the 40 minute it arrived and was really greasy and tasteless breakfast with undercooked fried eggs. All 3 of us left feeling queezy and disappointed as we were hoping for a nice cooked breakfast to end our break.

First time trying Buffers as went to Whitehall and they didn’t entertain dogs. Turned up at Buffers and outdoor seating catered beautifully for our dog so we sat down. Nothing was too much trouble, I was probably causing more hassle than I would have wanted as both my boys decided they’d changed their minds after ordering and didn’t want fishfinger wraps, they wanted the Thomas the Tank brekkie. No worries and just smiles from the team. Extra hash brown instead of beans for my eldest, not an issue. Superb. The food took its time but it was all cooked fresh, proper sausages from a local butchers I reckon as my youngest wolfed them down. Then the lovely lady at front of house came out with a chopped up sausage for our dog. Loved it. My only criticism was that the Welsh rarebit was a little small, it was one piece of bread and a few leaves/side salad. At £35 for 2 coffees, 2 kids brekkies, a piece of cake and 2 rarebits, for the size of the rarebit portions it felt a teeny bit steep. This is my only bit of negative feedback though. Keep up the good work and we will be back, though next time I’ll probs just stick to a full Welsh brekkie (Ivor the engine)

Called in for breakfast as we always do when visiting the area. Hundred percent dog friendly sit inside or our under the station covered area. Good selection of meals, especially breakfast, we chose the bacon and egg barm and Sausage and egg barm plus a cup of tea. In hindsight we wish we had stuck to our usual small breakfast which includes toast and a drink, much better value, but our fault. Really like this place relaxed friendly and good quality food cooked to order, at reasonable prices.

Dogs are welcome inside so that was a plus for us at there is outside seating but it was very cold outside. My only Critism is it’s quite tight on space.

Both times, the food has been excellent, we had sausage baps, and the second visit we had the Ivor The Engine breakfast. It's all cooked to order, using local ingredients. The meats were particularly tasty. The ambience is lovely. The tables have comfortable chairs, with blankets on the back too. The station can be a bit of a wind tunnel, so the cafe has really thought about customer comfort. Under usual circumstances there are both standard and a disabled toilet on site too. Coronavirus has meant these are closed, but the nearest open public toilets are not far away. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. And as a bonus, all the cups, plates and cutlery are biodegradable and made of vegware. Next time we come to North Wales we will definitely be coming back.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth

This a great little watering hole in Criccieth. We are always made welcome and good range of beers and drinks with a great outdoor space too. We always end up chatting with fellow drinkers and learn so much about local events, nice walks and places to eat. A great pub in hear of community

Gorgeous spot for breakfast, lovely sunny seating right outside. The breakfasts we had were lovely, but the sausages could have been a slightly nicer quality. The eggs were cooked perfectly, which is a bit of a fine art! Will definitely return.

Just had a great Gluten free pizza. The base was excellent. It takes time as it is freshly cooked, but well worth the wait. Great friendly welcome also dog friendly.
