Great beer from this community run pub, bar staff and locals were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely views in the beer garden, but there was no shelter. Very cosy pub

Where do i start... went for a drink with my friend, completely aware of covid regulations sat down went to toilet was my first visit here since covid. I forgot to wear my mask hand up but easy to forget lady who is not manager or working at bar shouts in front of everyone. To the right side all men approx 12 + 2 women no social distancing to the right of the pub. Lady shouts " where you're bloody mask and smirks.." dont know about you but theres a way to approach people! She wasnt a manager even the barmaid was nice about it but she enjoyed to point out she was the manager and she was on a committee so she could speak and treat anyone like she can. There also was a one way system to which wasn't explained as this was our first time there since covid outbreak. The atmosphere even when entered was negative all of them together looking at us like we had 2 heads each... obviously we dont fit in there crowd you dont belong! Not a warm welcome to be had here i would stay well away what i witnessed at this pub was cheering and clapping as was told to leave which fuled anger. Friend was told to leave tried to humilate her she was obviously local which makes it even worse! I honestly couldnt believe what i was seeying almost like (bullying tactics) i will be warning others to stay away its ran by young people who make own rules up! Would say i have even never had that experience in my local pub the committee should be ashamed of themselves allowing a local pub like this to ran like this and treat one of there own like that also shame on the local men for not standing up to there behaviour towards her. Stay clear folks you've been warned!!

We only found this great little pub by chance as our brother and sister in law were renting a cottage opposite. We thought we would try out the food and really impressed. There were 8 of us, four adults and four children under 7. The menu is simple and harty. All main meals are priced at £10.50 and the children’s meals were all £5.00. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome and the service was excellent. The food was equally excellent and plentiful. As an added bonus the restaurant has fabulous views of the coast. If you are staying anywhere nearby then this is a must. We will definitely be visiting again.

Popped in for a quick drink after visiting the nearby iron age hill fort. Welcoming place with an open fire and a log burner. Shall return when the restaurant re-opens Easter time.

Stopped off here as the local cafe was closed as we had walked to the beach and it was very hot so needed a drink. Couple of table out front. Ok for a quick stop to refresh

If you visit the LLeyn Peninsula you must visit this pub. It is owned by the village and they make you most welcome. Our walking group finished a walk there. They have a back room and real Welsh ale.

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

I'm actually gutted to be writing this review as we thought we had found a good haunt when we first tried last week. 2 adults & 2 children all had a lovely lunch time meal the previous week so we rebooked for the 2 adults for an evening meal the following weekend. The starter was lovely for both of us but we both ordered fillet steak for our main and I don't know what meat it was but it certainly wasn't a beef steak. It didn't look like one, taste like one or even cut like one. I was genuinely gutted as it has put me off going back again because I feel like it's just rude to expect somebody not to notice and left feeling like we've been totally ripped off. You don't order a fillet steak if you don't know exactly what to expect on your plate so the audacity to think you can pull that off is unbelievable. I can't complain about the service, both times it has been spot on, lovely women but unfortunately we won't be returning after been served that.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth
