Had a lovely day at WMF, the staff are always so lovely, and in particular the professional and friendly Emily( Titanic Rose) as she was her double! We started with the pate, which I so believe is the best and have raved about it for years, no one makes pate like Dalziel and have kept to the same recipe, no messing with a winner. 🏆 I followed with the prawn tacos, huge prawns, but could have had a little more flavour, perhaps a wee zingy dressing on the side with lime, garlic and chives. My bestie had the haggis bonbons, which she said were tasty. We had an extremely good value for money bottle of Pinot and Chardonnay. It’s always a good day there as it’s our local, nice vibe. Overall very pleased with our visit and all the staff could not do enough for us with extra ice, water and fresh wine glasses. Emily was a saint with all our fussy demands. Thanks WMF see you soon! 🌟

We were three adults and I had pre booked online for food. We arrived 15 minutes before our booking time and were asked to get a drink from the bar until the table was ready which was perfect for us .. until I just couldn’t get served. Yes it was busy, but there seemed to be plenty of staff working. People were being served around me and I was openly ignored, I just couldn’t understand it. I was stood towards the end of the bar where there was a notice that said it was a staff only area but someone had been served from both my left and right sides so I didn’t think it was that. When I said that I was next to be served, staff just looked at me like I was being rude. Anyway, after 15 mins we gave up at the bar and our table was ready. We shared nacho’s and a pretzel with cheese and mustard dips which was lovely. Our mains were fish and chips/cheese burger/steak frites which were fabulous. We all massively rated the food and service once we were seated. The only other downside was the automatically added 10% gratuity. We’d already agreed that we’d make a decision on a tip once the meal was complete (due to the poor start) but it was assumed that we’d pay it. I’m sure if we’d have mentioned it, the gratuity could have been amended. Are we heading in the direction of our American neighbours, as in tipping is assumed rather than based on service ?

Having just missed a boat to Rothesay we initially took our place in the queue of cars for the next one and walked across the street to McCaskie’s for something to eat. Thinking we had time to sit in for a snack we each ordered some food and a small glass of white wine (£3.90 per glass). The menu has a good choice and I selected the Roast chicken BLT (£11) and my wife opted for a Cajun Wrap (£12). Unfortunately the food took a bit longer to prepare than we’d expected and not long after it had arrived we had to ask a member of staff if it could be boxed-up to go. This wasn’t an issue and on finishing our wine and paying we departed back to the ferry queue armed with our take-away! It seemed a straight-forward process so perhaps we weren’t the first customers to be caught short of time. The café looked bright and clean and we briefly had a nice view of the Wemyss Bay railway station out the window prior to departure. Whilst sitting in our car waiting to board we enjoyed the food - the chicken being particularly tender and the other ingredients being good quality and tasty too. It was possibly an expensive takeaway in the circumstances but thankfully worth it.

First visit to this lovely tea house. Beautiful setting and although they were busy and my husband and I hadn’t booked they found us a table No fuss, no problem. We had lovely homemade soup (nicest I’ve had in a while when eating out). Finished off with a great proper cup of coffee and some lovely home baking. Well worth a visit and we will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

Regularly visit here with friends and family. Coffee is lovely and the staff are very welcoming. I witnessed a young girl, Abby chatting to an elderly gentleman about his wife being unwell. She took her time with him and offered a listening ear. That’s what blend is all about for me. 👏👏👏

Amazing bunch/breakfast... Went for two Big Yins and they didn't disappoint. Black pudding was best I've ever had, melt in your mouth. Defo will be back in future.
