The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Edinburgh and Lothian

Food was fantastic, family had everything on the menu and there wasnt anything left after. Heard this place is closing down due to renewal of the lease and we were genuinely upset.... best of luck to the future staff and owner.

This is the place to go to try whiskey in Edinburgh. The bar staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and happy to recommend whiskeys to try. Highly recommend.

Lovely spot right next to Waverly. Great views, Interesting cocktails and good nibbles. It can be as fancy and pricey as you want, making it a great sunset date spot, though book beforehand and maybe suggest a private nook.

Really enjoyed lunch here, haggis and mash with I think it was red wine sauce. Stag kept up even though it was busy during the Fringe. Only slight minus is I thought it was a little bit expensive for what it was.

I have bought soup from here twice. The 1st time I bought Heinz Tomato soup but the sandwich shop had clearly watered down the soup - yuk! The other time I have cock-a-leekie soup and the there was so much pepper in the soup it was inedible. Nope - never again

Another visit to The Maytree in Bruntsfield for some lunch was another great experience. We had Mushroom soup with toasted Focaccia filled with Bacon, Brie & Cranberry along with Tea and Chocolate Hazelnut slice. Food brilliant, served by a very friendly happy waitress. Music soundtrack just magic !!! See you again soon.

£12 for the Full Loft breakfast which consisted off 1 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 fried eggs, 1 black pudding, toms and a mushroom. Mediocre to say the least and very disappointing. Put the prices up and cut back the quality and quantity of what the Full Loft used to be. Won’t be back.

Everything you need for the outdoors..

Great venue with great staff and an incredible atmosphere. The Friday and Saturday nights in particular with the live DJ are next level, if you fancy a wee pint and a boogie jus out of town I would definitely advise this place. Cutest little cafe, the service was really good and the food was even better !! Would definitely recommend and will be going back! The people were very friendly and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal !

Great value set lunch, food was delicious and flavourful, good ambiance and exceptional service.

Stopped in to have a cup of coffee prior to our shopping extravaganza. With table service on offer, we just sat down and waited. It was lovely and warm inside and the decor is good. Waitresses cheerful with customer service, the coffee was good. Used to facilities under the toilet was clean.

Beautiful evening spent with friends. Food was authentically spot on with great flavour. Pasta was perfection and the banging tunes (deep house) surprisingly good. Highly recommend. Been a local for 15 odd years and never knew this lovely spot was on my door step. Shall be going very soon again.
