The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Central Scotland

Me and my wife love visiting The Puttery we always feel welcomed and always love our food. When busy the staff will always try to Ensure we’re accommodated. My favourite is the southern fried wrap and my wife favourite is Philly cheesesteak baguette. Also a mention to one of the waiters Alicia, she’s always so helpful when we ask questions regarding the menu, always so polite to us and even when it’s busy she will make time for us and Dose not make us feel as if we are being rushed to order. Always so polite, happy and always willing to have a chat and a laugh with us which is hard to find in places now a days

Absolutely terrible customer experience. Do not go here! First visit today. Ordered a latte and scrambled eggs on toast. Latte came almost immediately but after nearly 30 minutes and with everyone who came after me already eating their food I decided to pay for my latte (which I had only ordered to accompany my food). And leave. Lucky I didn’t wait an hour as at the til I complained but was told the kitchen had never received my food order as it had been ‘spiked’ despite getting cutlery and condiments brought to my table. Left very disappointed and hungry to half hearted apologies.

Had a day at the Quay celebrating friends wedding, the staff were great, good selection of drinks, lovely area . Can’t comment on the food as I’m unsure if it was outside caterers but was lonely

My first coffee out for 18 months. Boy did i land lucky, superb Rocky Road cake, excellent service, clean and fresh establishment. Will be back to try some of the other cake offerings.

Absolutely delicious Pea soup with chicken mayo toastie. Lovely brownie and cappuccinos to follow. Still feeling full 8 hours later! Reasonable price and very clean premises with plenty of parking nearby. Staff obviously take pride in their work too which is appreciated. Will be back.

I love the gift shop and can always find a few must haves when I am in the area on holiday. I’m loving the Egyptian cotton candle, it’s a beautiful scent.

Reviewing Hope Street Cafe. Friendly welcome from staff seems a popular spot for locals . We are not my husbands family belong Boness. Ordered a Lorne sausage(square sliced if your Scottish on proper breakfast roll my husband had black pudding roll generous two slices. We shared a pot of tea which was very good. Excellent prices. Great service our server even went and picked up sauce and napkins for us which we could have done ourselves. Not often in the area but will come back here.

Such a lovely evening with food and drinks. Our second and we will be back! Food is fantastic, great menu, Craig, Alison and all the friendly people you have there makes this the best pub that we have ever visited. Thank you for remembering us and for your warm welcome back. This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.

Afternoon tea with a friend. Maybe I booked it at their busiest time because we had to wait for quite a while before the food came, even though our table had been reserved for us. But when it did come it was worth the wait. The man who brought it to our table said that he has been adding hot food to the afternoon tea plates. And it was hot! A miniature quiche with the shortest shortcrust pastry ever, light and crumbly; a mini sausage roll, a tiny little bowl of lentil soup, pieces of skewered chicken with peppers and onions, hot enough to burn our mouths. Then the cold food, a lovely arrangement of a variety of sandwiches, and on the top layer, sweet things; carrot cake, a tiny little chocolate tart, ginger cake, chocolate eclair in miniature, and more. Almost like a tasting menu, with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Between us we ate every bite, it was so good, and we didn't even notice the lack of scones until later. Not that we needed them. The cafe was busier than I'd have expected on an early afternoon midweek, but then I've passed it a few times and it always looks busy. This is a Good Thing as we plan to eat there again, having seen some of the food that was carried past us as we munched our way through everything.

The location is beautiful we stopped here as we were going swimming but I have to say we were very disappointed in the food no rolls as it was too late £6.80 for panini with cheese and some chutney is too much wouldn’t eat there again

This is a hidden gem.Enjoyed an ice cream here after a lovely walk in the nature reserve. Dog friendly and dog ice cream.Ice cream was lovely and tge menu looked good.We will be back

One staff member showed unnecessarily rude behaviour rushing me out with my dog. Completely over the top response let us down in what is otherwise a delightful wee cafe.
