Parkers Restaurant in Angus

Eateries in Montrose seem to close on Mondays so we ate where we stayed - in the Park Hotel. The staff were nice and the service was very good. The menu was a bit limited but we had a very nice steak pie and chicken goujons followed by rhubarb and gin cheesecake and a berry pavlova - all nice and tasty.

Very nice restaurant located in the Park Hotel. A bar as you enter, and then a full restaurant. Excellent selection on the menu. I settled for haggis balls for starters and the pie of the day which was steak with a generous portion of gravy. For dessert I had pavlova. A very nice dinner indeed. My only complaint is the bar only sells larger - no bitter which was a bit of a disappointment. Maybe local taste. Also had breakfast here in the restaurant. Again a nice buffet selection. Haggis on the menu - love it. Staff are attentive and friendly.

We have been to the restaurant twice now since they reopened and have been very pleased both times. The menu is not extensive but they have all the popular things people like to order. We we late for one of our bookings but they were very good and still fitted us in. The food is not fancy but it is all delicious and you are served reasonably quickly so a full 3-course lunch can be had in an hour. There are are no particularly outstanding dishes as all of them are fine, although I we would commend the sticky toffee pudding. The seats are comfortable and the atmosphere calm. The coffee is good as well and a good number of Montrosians just pop in for a coffee. I recommend it.

Visited The Park for lunch while in Montrose doing some sales shopping. Restaurant/Bar is very nice, the staff were very good. My partner and I had soup and a sandwich, the food was ok but nothing special, hence the average review.

Good dinner even if as usual in Scotland the dishes were too much spicy and saucy. Medium vote released, good service and nice place (tables well setup and also the dining room).

Possible to be seated both in the bar and in the restaurant. Was eating there twice when staying at the hotel for some days. The food was good and staff friendly. Proper choices of beer at the tap. Ok choice for dinner when visiting Montrose

Stayed in the Park Hotel enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant/dinning area. Enjoyed our coffee and after drinks in the lounge. Staff all very helpful and a very nice lounge to sit in after my evening meal

We dine at the Parkers Restaurant (Park Hotel)every Sunday lunch.£8.75 for a two course lunch which I find very good value for money.Staff are very cheerful friendly and attentive.Well worth a visit

We ate twice the steak was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was well presented in a help yourself room. Food was well cooked and the service fantastic.

Well priced and a wide selection of local seasonal food. Dishes served quickly but perfectly. Nice atmosphere as well.

Food was average but the service was excellent.The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.We also stayed overnight which was pleasant.

We have had good service here before but last night was exceptional. Our three year old announced on his way in that it was his birthday and the staff made it special from there. After a lovely meal a cake with candles made its way to our son (without us asking for it). After he blew out his candles he said 'ooo strawberries'. Before we could blink an eye a lovely dish of strawberries appeared by his side. He was chuffed to bits :) On another note, scones were also fantastic.

Food was excellent and fantastic friendly service, The food was freshly cooked and beautifully presented.

This restaurant is located inside the Park Hotel. I was staying st the hotel who requested that I book a table as sometimes it can be very busy, which I did. Scallops to start were too chewy, but I wasn't charged when I mentioned it. The chicken was excellent and in generous potions. Good selection of drinks from the bar. Nice friendly staff - good wifi and comfortable seating. Would fine here again if in the area.

We had not been to the Park Hotel for a few years, and that night we rembered why, the staff were OK but the food was far from perfect, we had the High Tea menu, my wife had the salmon fillet which was ok but my Chicken Lasagne was not what very good and was dry. We had Tea, toast, cakes & Scones with the meal, which were very nice but not outstanding, it will probably be a long time before we return to Parkers.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here at Parkers. Menu had excellent choice. We decided to have a few starters instead of a main meal. The selection we chose included the smoked meats platter,this had the most amazing flavours, the scallops with blackpudding and apple sauce , were cooked to perfection and the goats cheese accompanied these just great. The presentaion was very nice,the staff were helpful and attentive. Certainly recommend here for a good quality meal.

enjoyed excellent home made soup with the haddock to follow whilst my colleague enjoyed the sirloin steak-we were fortunate to meet excellent staff who added to the enjoyment of the evening -worth another try.

We have family lunches here on a sunday, and are always very pleased with the food. The meal deal is very good value, and their chicken goujons are amazingly good. The staff are always very friendly, and very helpful. Their customer service is excellent, and i'd have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant which is within the Park Hotel.

The restaurant in in the Park Hotel. Our party of three ate dinner there on two separate days. The food was very good as was the service albeit somewhat formal. The first time two ate sea bass whilst one ate king prawns. The second time one had chicken, one sea bass and one salmon.

We use this restaurant quite often as the food is always good. The Cullen skink is great and the black pudding to die for. Have never had something we didn't enjoy. The staff are friendly and attentive. The new decor is really nice and brings the dining room bang up to date.

This restaurant located in the Park Hotel features a menu full of wonderful Scottish fare. Their cullen skink made from smokies from Arbroath, just down the road, is the best I've had. Creamy and full of the unique smokie flavor, you can't go wrong. For dinner, the chicken with haggis was amazing. The chicken was moist and had soaked up the flavor of the haggis stuffing. Together their flavor profile was delightful. The broiled potatoes were a perfect side, making for a very filling dinner at a reasonable price. Everyone working there was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
