Imagine you come back by train to stirling after a long day in edinburgh. Tired, grumpy and hungry walking through the streets. All you want is a coffee from unorthodox roasters. But the place is closed and the vinyl shop beside also. Then you meet a guy walking to his car and saying „how are you?“. You have a little chat about coffee and other things, ending with a present (grinded coffee) to take home to germany. Happens only in stirling, scotland, in front of unorthodox roasters. The guy we met was Neil, the owner of the place (unorthodox roasters), who reopened his place just to give us this present to save our day! Unbelievable! Thank you so much, my friend, we enjoyed the coffee a few minutes ago back home in germany freshly made with our little espresso maker! Or, as Neil would say: „Life is good!“ Greets, hope to meet you again, Willy&Sarah

You can't take ten steps in Stirling without bumping into a coffee shop, but HBW Coffee towers above them all in terms of quality, service, and atmosphere. The bar is staffed by friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable baristas capable of steaming your choice of milk to silky perfection. The espresso is consistently well-brewed, showcasing their understanding of the importance of regularly calibrating both the grinder and the espresso machine. Finding a good cup of filter coffee is rare; finding a great one is even rarer. HBW regularly has a perfectly brewed pot on the go, showcasing just how juicy coffee can be. I haven't even mentioned the food yet. I can't think of anywhere else in the area I would recommend more highly for breakfast or brunch. I always leave HBW feeling like I should have paid more. The quality is consistently outstanding, and the way different flavors are combined into each dish demonstrates a real appreciation for the experience of taste. HBW has raised the bar for Stirling, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

My mum and I recently decided to try out this cafe for lunch and we were very impressed with the tapas/small plate dishes, and with the cake. The food was fresh and delicious. Today I went back with my baby and found it to be a lovely cafe to breastfeed in as well - there is a small family area at the back which is lamp lit and affords some privacy. The staff are very friendly, and were particularly good when I was flustered with a hungry baby today. This is just what Stirling was needing - my new favourite cafe!

Wow wow wow!!! Livia and her hubby were so welcoming. My partner was in a wheelchair which they accommodated for. Livia does a brilliant job of operating the front of house. Her hubby (apologies did not get his name), cooks the most amazing food. My parter had the signature chicken and noodles and gave it top marks. I had the seaeed rolls and kimchi, and gave it top marks. We can't wait to go back!!!

Need to book to be sure. Decent place with a typical 'pub' menu. Partner loved her prawn fajitas that were not short of prawns with a thick tomato/spicy sauce kick. Sweet potato fries ere very good. Burger and chips also good but the burger was a little salty and couldn't be cooked as 'medium' only well done - shame, as the quality of a good, fresh home made burger would allow this. Onion rings went down well.

We were ready for some good traditional Scottish food after our visit to the Castle in Stirling and decided to try Nicky Tams bar which is the oldest one in the town. It's quite small inside but the staff and the food makes up for it. Downstairs was very busy so we ordered some drinks and grabbed a table upstairs where the server took our food order. It would be a shame not to have the traditional Scottish dish of haggis with neeps and buttery tats mash and it was served with a whiskey sauce. We had a portion of Irn Bru sauce coated prawns for a starter and my wife decided to try the whiskey flavour Mac n Cheese. It might seem a bit rough around the edges but it's got a good character to the pub and it's worth a visit.

We ate here after visiting the castle on our way back down, and what an absolute treat! This place really is worth a visit, it's super cute and cozy, the staff are so friendly, and the food was great! It's a real gem, whether going there for lunch, or popping in to grab a packed lunch to take up to the castle, it's absolutely worth checking out!

Nice staff. Pretty restaurant and food was good. I thought there would be more breakfast choices but was good. Room left a lot to be desired. Felt empty (repaired holes on wall, no wall decor at all...go opportunity to cover up repairs), bathroom was a little icky (mold around tub/shower hairs in tub) and worse for wear (dated and chipped/worn old furniture, stains on floor and sheets) Hardest bed I've ever slept on. Was ok for 100£ a night but wouldn't stay there again.

Stopped here while travelling past. The coffee was excellent, hot tasty and strong. The shop is a fascinating place with a machine whirling await roasting the coffee, people filming the place and a full shop of people drinking the excellent coffee amid all that was going on.
