Caffe Pompei in Stirling

Had a superb pizza and arancini for lunch, followed by a proper Italian coffee and a delicious pear cake served warm with cream on the side. All this served by friendly Italian staff. Hope to go again soon!

Amazing spot for lunch and afternoon tea with friends. The meatball dish is a must try! The dessert shelf has lots of options and it's different every week so I always get to try something new.

I was visiting Stirling for work and came previously the night before to see if the cafe was still open. I came early the next morning for breakfast and had a warm welcome from Mario who remembered me from the night previous. Mario offered me a freshly baked pastry recommending a house special which was just delicious. I also had 2 lavazza coffees which is hard to come across. Mario and Connie made me feel so welcome they are both the nicest people I’ve met in Stirling. I would come back to the city just to come to Caffe Pompei again! Found this place by accident when on a training course in Stirling now come back regularly with my husband. 40 mile round trip each time for the best coffee and croissants around! We always get some cannoli to take home too. You won't be disappointed by the food, coffee or service!

We stopped here on our way up further north and we weren’t disappointed. We had the specials off the lunch board, pesto pasta, meatballs and a beef stew, all of which were delicious and very Italian. We couldn’t resist ordering some of the cakes for afters which were equally yummy!

Came in to Stirling to find some lunch on the drive up to the cairngorms, had a bit of a walk around with no plan to hand, discounted a number of other places, walking past this restaurant we decided to pop in, and so glad we did. Initially the plan had been a quick bite and back on the road, but the option of ham and cheese tortellini was to good to turn down, a good sized portion with a good cheese sauce and shavings of parmasan, then we were tempted with chocolate cake (and who's not for tempting whilst on holiday) very good food at a fair price and friendly staff.

I have been in here several times as have a love of Italian food: particularly with aubergines in. Great decaf coffee and even cooking tips. Good selection of cakes too. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

I visited this lovely cafe for the first time a few days ago and I would recommend people to try it too . I had a lovely latte and granola with fresh fruit and yoghurt. The granola is great quality , tasty and nutty I loved it . The service was really good , very friendly and attentive .

My girlfriend and I met here for the first time back in February 2023 and we were back again this week just gone by. This time we had lunch and the options shown on the special menu were excellent. The Polpette with ciabatta were were cooked to perfection and full of flavour while my partner had the Caponata with ciabatta. For dessert, we had the pistachio cannoli and this is hands down to die for as a dessert. I say this only because I have not tried everything else yet but so far this is top of the list. I would like to thank Mario for his welcoming and friendliness and that he takes the time to speak to each of his customers. Along with his friendliness, he has a wonderfully kind nature and sense of humour, all to add to the magical experience. This is our favourite place to come as it has the best memories and we will frequent again soon!

This is my second visit, and both times the owners of this place go above and beyond to make every customer feel special. They took the time to customize our drinks exactly to our liking and engaged in friendly chats, making us feel right at home! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable experience!
