Had lunch after visiting the play park behind the cafe. Toasties, baked potatoes, soup and ice creams all great. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly aswell so no one has to be left out when visiting the park, farm and cafe.

Food is amazing and very well priced. Large portions, ready made to order. Staff are lovely and helpful. Use it regularly for lunch. Panini box is amazing, they do a large burger thing as well and my partner loves it

This restaurant and coffee house is very popular for its delicious Ice cream, locally made with many flavors to choose from, and you can order a few items from their regular a la carte menu. I noticed that they run the food section somewhat nonchalantly as many items on the menu were missing, although it wasn't really a cause for concern. We just wanted to have a couple Corona beers with some cheese and cold cuts, so we decided to share a Mediterranean salad with tomato, tuna, corn, and olives. We also placed orders for a carpaccio ci Bresaola and a carpaccio di Tacchino. We were pleased with the atmosphere and decided to stay a bit longer and enjoy two vanilla milk shakes.

In I went to Finnegans on Sat. 14/9/24 at around 9.45am Please wait to be seated it reads as I stand in a glass cage 😂 This must be a posh restaurant that I'm going into, was the thought 🤔 that came to me, but fortunately I hadn't that long to wait & when the waiter approached me I pointed to a table for 2 that I would like to sit at & he took me over to it. Another waitress came to my table & took my order for the SIMPLE breakfast & I told her that I would like my coffee latte along with my breakfast BUT I ended up with my latte BEFORE my breakfast came. I drank half of my coffee, before my lovely tasting breakfast came & because of that I asked for some hot🔥water to top up my coffee which had cooled down & that request was attended to 👍 Now what was wrong with my lovely tasting breakfast❓ It was served up on a cold plate 🍽️ & my beans were only warm, but other than that it all tasted very good. The tattie scone wasn't all soggy or even burnt on one side that has happened to me elsewhere - including cold plates & my fried egg🍳 wasn't even frizled up, it was spot on & I will pop in again & taste their special scrambled eggs 🥚

If you want a good night in Falkirk, go to the Wheatsheaf (or literally anywhere else). Went in to support a friend at the open mic, had one drink and got told we weren't getting served anymore. No issues in any other bar in Falkirk ever after 5 years of living here. Never been here before and honestly will never be back. Most pretentious, overly priced bar going with the worst customer service. When we first arrived the boy behind the bar didn't even approach us for a drink despite making eye contact and him having nothing else to do. Another customer had to ask him if he was actually going to serve anyone. We kept to ourselves, chatted to our friends, and caused no issues at all. I'm sure they will reply to this with some excuses about being drunk but we have literally had 2 pints each, used excellent manners, and didn't cause any issues whatsoever, so take their response with a pinch of salt. I'd give them a 0 if I could, but 1 is as low as I can go. I can't emphasise enough that if you want a good night in Falkirk, go to the Wheatsheaf.

Arrived at the cafe around 11:45 after phoning to check if it was dog friendly. Our name and phone number was taken and we were asked to wait outside for what they thought would be about 10 minutes as we were the ‘first in the queue.’ After half an hour and another couple being seated before us, I went back inside to query this and was told our details had been lost but the next available table was ours. By this time we were extremely cold and hungry. We waited approximately 10 minutes to be served and at 12:50 we had to check where our order was. At this point we were told our brunch was on and would be with us in 5 minutes. We cancelled our order as we were now about to be late for an appointment at 1:15 which we should of had plenty time for. Without even an apology, we left and won’t be returning. Shambles!

We went here a couple of nights ago for our evening meal,I ordered the surf and turf £15.99 from the specials board and my wife decided to have the haggis fritter starter £6.95 with a side portion of chip which I can only assume was £4.91 considering our food total was £27.85. We had our food in the bar area owing to the fact we have a dog. Prior to ordering our food we ordered a pint of lager and a pint half lager half lemonade £8. We were served by friendly staff can’t really complain about the food as it was tasty enough. Have been here previously but might go somewhere different in the future.

Absolutely terrible customer experience. Do not go here! First visit today. Ordered a latte and scrambled eggs on toast. Latte came almost immediately but after nearly 30 minutes and with everyone who came after me already eating their food I decided to pay for my latte (which I had only ordered to accompany my food). And leave. Lucky I didn’t wait an hour as at the til I complained but was told the kitchen had never received my food order as it had been ‘spiked’ despite getting cutlery and condiments brought to my table. Left very disappointed and hungry to half hearted apologies.

Reviewing Hope Street Cafe. Friendly welcome from staff seems a popular spot for locals . We are not my husbands family belong Boness. Ordered a Lorne sausage(square sliced if your Scottish on proper breakfast roll my husband had black pudding roll generous two slices. We shared a pot of tea which was very good. Excellent prices. Great service our server even went and picked up sauce and napkins for us which we could have done ourselves. Not often in the area but will come back here.

Afternoon tea with a friend. Maybe I booked it at their busiest time because we had to wait for quite a while before the food came, even though our table had been reserved for us. But when it did come it was worth the wait. The man who brought it to our table said that he has been adding hot food to the afternoon tea plates. And it was hot! A miniature quiche with the shortest shortcrust pastry ever, light and crumbly; a mini sausage roll, a tiny little bowl of lentil soup, pieces of skewered chicken with peppers and onions, hot enough to burn our mouths. Then the cold food, a lovely arrangement of a variety of sandwiches, and on the top layer, sweet things; carrot cake, a tiny little chocolate tart, ginger cake, chocolate eclair in miniature, and more. Almost like a tasting menu, with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Between us we ate every bite, it was so good, and we didn't even notice the lack of scones until later. Not that we needed them. The cafe was busier than I'd have expected on an early afternoon midweek, but then I've passed it a few times and it always looks busy. This is a Good Thing as we plan to eat there again, having seen some of the food that was carried past us as we munched our way through everything.
