Finnegans in Falkirk

Nice friendly place and good well presented freshly made food .

My son told me about this wee gem today. We popped in for some lunch. I love my coffee, a lot of the time I'm disappointed. Not in Finnigans, the coffee was perfect. My son and his fiance had bacon on their sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bacon was cooked to perfection. I often stay away from ordering anything with bacon as it's always stringy, undercooked and disgusting. I will definitely be back to this place, one of the best I've been to in years. Well done guys, keep up with your amazing service and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely staff and extensive menu options .Snacks, cakes or meals. Less one star because our table wasn't cleaned prior to serving and a wee bit cold where we sat. Comfortable atmosphere for lone customers. A warm welcome. Will definitely go back.

Great food and service. Managed to arrange afternoon teas for a special occasion at short notice and couldn't have been more attentive

We found Finnegans online and saw they had the wheelchair symbol on Google, so called ahead to see if there was access (I am a wheelchair user). The person who I spoke to was helpful, letting us know that there was a door to the right of the main entrance and to press the buzzer for Finnegans when we get to the door. Someone let us in, opening doors for us as we entered (super helpful!) I didn't need to use the toilets but I could see that even though they were on a different floor, there was a lift I could have used. Food was yummy, coffee was good and staff were friendly. The music was a bit loud for me, but that wasn't a big deal. We will definitely return!

In I went to Finnegans on Sat. 14/9/24 at around 9.45am Please wait to be seated it reads as I stand in a glass cage 😂 This must be a posh restaurant that I'm going into, was the thought 🤔 that came to me, but fortunately I hadn't that long to wait & when the waiter approached me I pointed to a table for 2 that I would like to sit at & he took me over to it. Another waitress came to my table & took my order for the SIMPLE breakfast & I told her that I would like my coffee latte along with my breakfast BUT I ended up with my latte BEFORE my breakfast came. I drank half of my coffee, before my lovely tasting breakfast came & because of that I asked for some hot🔥water to top up my coffee which had cooled down & that request was attended to 👍 Now what was wrong with my lovely tasting breakfast❓ It was served up on a cold plate 🍽️ & my beans were only warm, but other than that it all tasted very good. The tattie scone wasn't all soggy or even burnt on one side that has happened to me elsewhere - including cold plates & my fried egg🍳 wasn't even frizled up, it was spot on & I will pop in again & taste their special scrambled eggs 🥚

Tapas Evening Fantastic night (BYOB) Tapas food was delicious and plentiful. Giles and staff so helpful, friendly environment. Couples and groups. Would recommend the evening events

We stopped in for a breakfast bite - pancakes and a full breakfast with a cup of tea and coffee. Foods good , staff lovely . Nice little tea room for accessing the hub that's attached . Cakes on display looked lovely so may pop back in future for coffee and cake Menu has great choices and even a kids menu. Tables are immaculate not even dust on the window sills so clean and fresh decor. We will wonder back some day soon

Enjoyed a quick stop in for a coffee and a cake and was pleasant mesmerised by the delicious options on display. Friendly and helpful staff and a cosy setting and atmosphere. Love a stop into Finnegans!

Amazing lunch with friends. The Finnegan’s house salad was outstanding! This was followed by the most amazing Biscoff sundaes. Highly recommend.

The best Cafe I've been to in Falkirk! My partner and I ordered 2 sandwiches, coffees and a slice of toffee an tablet cake. Everything tasted great and the fillings in the sandwiches were generous. Would definitely go there again!

In Falkirk over lunchtime and we picked this based on the previous reviews. They proved accurate. We had club sandwiches and a ciabatta with haggis. Big enough portions that we only just managed the excellent cakes. No complaints at all from us.

Even though it was really busy, the staff did their best to squeeze us in for a family lunch. We would definitely recommend a visit! Our food was delicious 😋 We opted for the fish and chips, club sandwich, steak sandwich and baked potato, followed by delicious tray bakes. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We'll definitely be back!!

Great place for breakfast, a cuppa a sweet treat or a lunch. All food is freshly prepared and locally sourced. Lovely friendly staff who are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, would make particular mention of Linda who was very attentive to us today. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty snack or light meal

My husband, daughter and I had lunch there today and it was fab. We were served by a lovely lady named Linda who couldn’t do more for us. My husband and I had the jacket potatoes with different (very generous fillings) & my daughter had the fish and chips. She can be quite picky with her food and would normally pick the coating off the fish but she said it was really tasty and ate the full thing. The jacket potatoes were delicious too. There is a lovely atmosphere there and we will definitely be returning. I wld also like to thank Linda for getting the first aid kit out and helping me with a wee medical issue that I had, you were a star!

We had a delicious, freshly cooked lunch here. Huge portions of fish, chips and peas, a warming bowl of homemade soup, followed by hot drinks and tasty cakes. It was very reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Always a warm welcome from Linda, Esther and Giles. A superb lunch and a grand selection of cakes and warm scones to finish.

We popped in for a Sunday Brunch and it was fantastic, sheryl the waitress was lovely, very attentive but not pushy. Food was excellent really fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful festive afternoon tea at Finnegans served with a smile as usual. Cannot compliment Giles and his team enough for the lovely sandwiches and cakes provided. Absolutely delicious. Also loved the vintage tea set which really set the tone. Please do not pass this establishment by as it is the best in Falkirk for atmosphere, management/staff and the fantastic freshly prepared food they serve at reasonable prices.

Late in adding this review. Booked for afternoon tea 20th August, after seeing they had won an award. The booking was a special thank you to friends. I wasn’t impressed. And wouldn’t return. Was told it was from 2pm on a Sunday. Which I accepted. Food wasn’t great 2 types of sandwiches. Cakes were dry like they had been left out for days. We were served a coffee and tea each. When we were looking for refills no one came near us. We had to approach the counter. The refill tea was just hot water added to the first pot. No new tea bags. We were then told that’s them shut. It was only 3pm. If I had known we were only getting 1 Hr. I would have booked somewhere else. We were not offered an earlier time. Even though I had booked a few months in advance. Based on my experience and my party of 4. All 4 said we wouldn’t go back.

Amazing service by all the guys in this cafe. I've been in many times with family and friends. They are always great with the kids interacting and chatting away to them. Its a small intimate cafe who always go that extra mile. Always go local and this this place is great to relax on your own with a coffee or meet up with friends and family.

👎DONT GO IF YOU HAVE KIDS👎I have just met my friend here for a coffee and catch up. I had Rosie and she had her 18month old. Her little boy had emptied the salts and sugars packets (still in the wrappers) on the floor ( as all kids do) and was banging the glass jar on the table. To be honest we were to busy blathering and hadn’t noticed the mess but of course we would of tidied up. A member of staff came over and at first we thought she was joking telling us the mess was unacceptable but we were then told we were “disrespectful” and made to feel humiliated. The staff member was so rude to my friend and spoke loud enough that 4 other tables could clearly hear the whole thing. When I went up to complain about the way it was handled I was told “they were expensive tables” and got the least sincere apology!! There is ways and means to handle things!! My poor friend was in tears, it was my first time in finnegans in a long time and I can assure you I won’t be back!!!!

They are deserve 4.8 star. Food and coffee are really nice. But milk shake made them can not up to 5 star.

We are fast becoming regular customers to Finnegan’s. Fantastic service, delicious food and comfortable environment and atmosphere. We are always made to feel welcome and thoroughly enjoy everything that we have. Our last visit was for afternoon tea (mummy and daughter) and wow! Did they not go over and above with a little tiara, wand and skipping ropes and delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones and a massive pot of tea!! We will see you again soon, this venue is one not to be missed!

Finnegans is our go to lunch time treat for when one of the kids has a random day off. It is a busy wee place but the service is great. I only ever get the club sandwich, which is awesome, so i cant comment on the rest of the menu (but the kids are always happy!! 🙂)

Went for lunch staff were lovely and toastie was perfect! Nice coffee as well. The ceiling was very high as well oddly distracting but nonetheless lovely place!

Nice sit in meal that was fairly busy but didn't feel like too long a wait. Some good selections of sweets outside the norm and everything is very well identified as too source and allergies. Nice for a bit of world watching with a pleasant low key atmosphere. Service was quite friendly and professional and feels quite relaxed. Near by parking although the only free ones are by the retail park but its handy central location makes it worthwhile for a stop during your shopping

Love this place! Best club Sandwich I've ever had, chips aren't greasy! Biscoff coffee is fab too.

I actually love this place yet have a habit of forgetting it's there and I don't know why. Service is on point. I've had breakfast and lunch here and both were outstanding. Prices are reasonable. It's lovely decorated, bit of nice modern Scottish homeliness. Treat yourself to biscoff coffee.

Brilliant lockdown afternoon tea delivered as promised. Cakes and sandwiches very fresh and extremely tasty. If you have to have a doorstep birthday celebration, a homemade afternoon tea delivered on a china cake stand is the way to go. Definitely recommend.
