The Corner Cafe in Falkirk

Arrived at the cafe around 11:45 after phoning to check if it was dog friendly. Our name and phone number was taken and we were asked to wait outside for what they thought would be about 10 minutes as we were the ‘first in the queue.’ After half an hour and another couple being seated before us, I went back inside to query this and was told our details had been lost but the next available table was ours. By this time we were extremely cold and hungry. We waited approximately 10 minutes to be served and at 12:50 we had to check where our order was. At this point we were told our brunch was on and would be with us in 5 minutes. We cancelled our order as we were now about to be late for an appointment at 1:15 which we should of had plenty time for. Without even an apology, we left and won’t be returning. Shambles!

This cafe’s food and service is amazing. Never had a bad meal or service in this cafe. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough and you are also supporting a local small Business

Popped into the Corner Cafe for lunch on a recent visit to Falkirk. Well located just off the High Street. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Good choice of food and drinks on the menu and great portion sizes. Will certainly return when next in Falkirk.

The black pudding topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Large range and high quality in terms of both food and drink. The cakes and treats available are excellent.

Great cafe ! There was a shortage of tables when we arrived, and the waiter kindly took my mobile number and promised to message as soon as a table became free. Within a short time he was as good as his word ,and we enjoyed an excellent brunch. We have been here before , because my daughter is vegan, and there's plenty of choice for her. This time the food was just as good, and I really appreciated the waiter's pro active attitude to get us seated. Full marks and we will be back.

I was looking for somewhere to have a late lunch in Falkirk and came across The Corner Cafe, a charming looking place which had a varied menu and looked inviting. The cafe was empty when I arrived and I found a nice spot by the window. On the menu was my old school favourite - club sandwich, so I ordered that. The club sandwich was nicely presented with crisps and homemade coleslaw. By the time I left it was quite busy and I can see why, it is a very nice cafe with a good varied menu and is in the centre of town.

Fab cafe with indoor / outdoor seating options. Very dog friendly - given our dog bowl of water. Great menu choices, they did run out of mozzarella that day so had to change my order. Food all delicious & hot with side salads and own made coleslaws. Great service and extremely friendly staff Cake selection was amazing, hard to choose! We got these to takeaway Nice to see local independent cafe with art for sales on walls. Will be back or recommend to others

Visited here for a full Scottish breakfast and we were not disappointed! Service was superb, food was outstanding. Absolutely delicious! The cafe also served gorgeous milkshakes and delightful cakes, so we had a milkshake each and took cake back for later. I couldn't fault a single thing about this cafe - I wish I lived here so I could visit every day! Thank you Corner Café! ❤️

I put in an awful report on Tripadviser about a previous cafe on this site and it was closed down due to multiple bad reports and visits from health inspectors, I assume. When The Corner Cafe took over I was a bit dubious about trying it. I decided to give it a go and am happy to say it was wonderful. During lock-down I even day dreamed about getting back to this cafe when it was allowed to re-open. Went today and had French toast. It was served with bacon on top and maple syrup and strawberries. I was a bit worried I would not like it served this way but I really enjoyed it. My husband had a big breakfast and said he thought the ingredients were the best quality. The girls refilled our teapot with hot water so we had plenty to drink. Staff and owners are lovely and do all they can to ensure you have a great meal. It can take a little while to serve as it is all prepared fresh. The only downside I had was that the cakes are on the counter and when people lean over to pay their bill sleeves or handbags sometimes touch the cakes. Today there was a partition due to the virus so nothing could touch the cakes. I would recommend to give it a try.

Hubby and I visited the cafe on Sunday morning having seen their Instagram pics. Eggs Royale delicious and full breakfast so tasty. Will definitely return. Lunches are fab too! Staff really helpful too.

Lovely little cafe and lovely staff, we had toasties and shared a slice of cake with tea and a milkshake, everything was amazing and the staff are so nice too!

Ordered the lentil soup, it was lukewarm and had the look and texture of baby food, I have been before and it has been okay but even when it is not busy there is a long wait to have your order taken, then a long wait for your order to arrive. Cakes and scones are uncovered which is off putting.

Came here for brunch after finding another local cafe had a lack of vegetarian options. The breakfast menu was served all day and had plenty of options for us to enjoy.We had the full fry up and Colombian eggs which were both delicious! Coffee was great too.Friendly staff and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice lunch or brunch while in town.

Always make sure I pop into this cafe when in Falkirk! The coffee was delicious as always (I opted for the cappuccino this time), and the service by Daniel was excellent and very attentive. If you’re going you must try their empire biscuits too - melt in the mouth!

Another great brunch at the Corner Cafe. I had the French toast this time which was to die for!The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to look after us. Nice to see a small business doing well on the high street. Can’t wait to go back to try the cakes!

We ended up passing through Falkirk at lunchtime on Hogmanay and were drawn in here by the lovely varied menu on the wall outside, as well as the cakes on display at the counter! It was busy but we were served quickly and cheerfully, with helpful suggestions for the kids to eat. ("best waffles ever - no, best lunch ever!") Delicious food (grown ups had soup and nachos) and excellent service.

Was in today for lunch with family and we all enjoyed it so much! The tea was that good and refreshing that I drank the full pot to myself my sister ordered the macaroni and she was so surprised at how good it was, saying it tastes just like her own. My Mum said her cappuccino was the best she'd ever tasted from a cafe/coffee shop and I can't recommend the empire biscuits enough, delicious! The service was lovely and we'll definitely be back.

I had a lovely visit in The Corner Cafe today! I loved the look of the cafe from the minute I walked past it, and I had also seen some of the amazing posts they post online which totally enticed me to visit! The cakes are to die for and the service is top notch from the team. It has a real local feel to the cafe, I wouldn’t think twice about coming in for a working lunch, or even just for a coffee, cake and a book read. The menu isn’t a typical cafe menu, they are always thinking outside of the box with what they offer - and all at an affordable price. Immaculately presented, I even bought more cake for later! Thank you guys!xx

Fabulous service and coffees! Was in today for a festive french toast! And the two girls serving me were amazing, wonderful chat and great skills!

My 2 friends and I decided to visit and were not disappointed ...friendly, fast service and the choice was amazing ... I honestly wanted to try several dishes as they all sounded delicious!!!! Would highly recommend ... not to be missed

Visited this cafe for the first time with 2 friends for lunch. Lovely, welcoming staff and fantastic choice on the menu. My friends has macaroni and I had a Brie, cranberry and bacon panini which was delicious. Trying to pick a cake was the hardest part of my visit as there was lots of choice!

Visited today on the recommendation from my friend and was not disappointed. The cafe is modern, clean and cosy. the team very super efficient and friendly nothing was a bother even when i decided to change my order. The food was fast and portions are big. and don’t even get me started on the cakes, they are to die for. Would recommend, will be back.

Came for a bit of lunch before a day of shopping and was left very disappointed. I ordered the soup and a sandwich and my mum ordered the soup but the soup was off. When we brought this to the servers attention they didn’t apologise or remove the soup along with this they didn’t even offer my mum something else and charged me for the soup! Poor service and very poor quality control of the food plus cakes not covered does the environment of health know about this?

Went in for a soup and sandwich, which were good, but the cakes on the counter were drawing my eye, they were enormous and they seemd to be a firm favourite with the locals. Unfortunately the soup and sandwich filled me up and there was no space for a slice of cake. But....I will be back!!!

My wife and I visited the café for lunch. We were horrified to see on the counter plates of scones and empire biscuits which were not under any cover. We could see a few flies crawling over these items. I wonder what the environmental health people would make of this.

We have enjoyed breakfasts and cake and coffee on a number of occasions over the last 4-5 months and are delighted by the politeness and helpfulness of the staff together with the quality of food, notwithstanding the danger to one’s waistline.

Lovely breakfast of omelette, mushrooms and tomato served with real whole grain toast and a great pot of tea. Very pleasant, bright and clean surroundings. Cannot wait to try the delicious looking cakes!

Came in with my friends for a small brunch and was met with a lovely greeting from the staff. Food was stellar and the staff were more than accommodating. Will most definitely be returning soon, lovely place.

We called in for a snack and were given a lovely welcome. All the cakes looked yummy, and it was hard to make a choice. The food that was being served to other customers looked good too.

Called in today and ordered 3 soups with bread/ roll whatever it was and waited 15/20 mins. Asked where our order was and was told there was no soup ordered. It would appear the gentleman who served us was full of charm but not very efficient. We left to find better and quicker service elsewhere.

Stopped in at the Corner Cafe in Falkirk whilst working in the area and delighted with food and service received so will definitely return. In fact I plan to go back soon - especially for the waffles! The place had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and were able to answer some questions I had. 10/10 on all fronts and big thumbs up from me.

This welcoming cafe was just the right place for a Scottish breakfast. Great quality and choice with all dishes freshly made, we enjoyed the Black pudding stack (toast, Black pudding, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce), a scrambled egg on toast, a decent pot of tea and warm service. Would recommend this cafe also for lunches and cakes.

Had a pot of tea and the full breakfast at this cafe, it was great with all the trimmings toast and tatties scone to complete the bacon sausage mushrooms, beans, black pudding and fried egg, the staff were very helpfull and attentive.

What a find. Right in the centre of Falkirk a lovely cafe with great coffee and cake. The staff were extremely helpful, even drawing a map to help us find our hotel! Next time we visit this area we will be sure to return.

Visited for breakfast and really enjoyed the poached eggs on avocado. Tasty and filling. Back again for a coffee and amazing empire biscuit. Customer service is second to none and even been able to get delivery locally when I needed to fill a gap at the hairdresser! If you are in Falkirk you should visit. Will not disappoint

My absolute favourite café. We have quite a few to choose from in Falkirk but none compare. My husband even raves about it and he's always picking at something. The food is delicious and coffee and cake is a must. The cakes are always so fresh and delicious. It's so spacious so even when it's full you never feel like you are squashed in. The staff are so friendly and professional. I would go every day if I could. Im salivating just thinking about the cakes. Xx

Visited here yesterday (Tuesday) with close friend and her child. I had a sweet french toast and my friend had the sweet waffles, both were very well presented and tasted extravagant! Our waitress was extremely helpful providing us with a high chair and accommodating our needs. First time visit but will definitely be back . They also do a brilliant coffee loyalty card where you can easily get a free coffee after buying a few unlike other cafes in the area. GREAT FOOD AND GREAT STAFF

Popped in while shopping. The menu was varied and the all day vegetarian breakfast and macaroni we had were delicious. The cakes were wonderfully fresh and the scone felt like it had just come out of the oven.The staff were very attentive and service was very prompt.

Visited with a few friends and really enjoyed my nachos and mini egg cake, and the flat white I had was lovely. Staff were all friendly. I’m not in Falkirk often, but this will make me more tempted to visit sooner! Jack

Arrived at 12 noon. Only three tables occupied. Waited 5 mins for order to be taken. At 12.35 we were given our rolls. Half an hour for two rolls on sausage and two cans of juice

We always have the cooked breakfast, which is very reasonably priced and is always hot and tasty. My daughter had the savoury French toast which she was excellent( they even asked how well done she wanted her bacon).Nothing is too much trouble. Service is always good, even when they are busy.

When in Fallirk you must visit the corner cafe the best coffee shop in town,food excellent and the staff are ever so friendly. You will not be disappointed.

We both had the pate to start, plentiful and very nice.We then had the lasagne and salad which was also excellent.The restaurant was very busy that day but the staff still provided excellent service and were very efficient.Will certainly be back again.

Wonderful find. I opted for the sweet French toast and I wasn't disappointed, hubby also enjoyed his panini with a choice of salad or crisps. Good selection on the menu caters for all, even those with dietary needs. Coffee was very tasty, full of flavour. Staff made you feel very welcome. 5*

Visited this cafe for breakfast this morning and the service was extremely good compared to other cafes and restaurants I have tried before. I will be visiting again. definitely recommend this place to anyone

Hubby & I treated ourselves to a late lunch today. Food was very tasty and we even managed to squeeze in a very generous slice of their delicious cakes. A proper dog friendly cafe in the town is great and our wee one loved being welcomed in rather than being asked to sit outside.

The Corner Cafe Is a lovely little place centred in the heart of Falkirk. I was really impressed with the friendliness of the staff who work there. It was particularly nice visiting over the Christmas period as there were many festive options on the menu. The cake selection was fantastic and I could tell the coffee was of a really high quality. The presentation of the food combined with taste was second to none. I will definitely be visiting again even if it is slightly out my way. It's well worth it!

Have been to the Corner Cafe several times and always find the key members of staff really friendly and kind. Always enjoy the food and very reasonably priced. Good coffee too. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been to this coffee shop a few times when in Falkirk and never been disappointed! Recently my wife and I met with friends through here for a leisurely brunch and catch up and I’m so glad we choose this place!

Nice little cafe with great food and a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The staffs were friendly as well; overall my friends and i had a great time there.

I had came here before for coffee during the week at the end of November and really enjoyed it - staff were nice and the manager was very attentive. So I wanted to bring my partner and have lunch this time.

Came across this wee gem of a place with my mums and daughter. The food was utterly delicious and you could tell it was all made from fresh ingredients and cooked on the premises. Such a refreshing change from pre-packed food you normally get in a lot of places these days. I had French toast with bacon and it was divine. The coffee tasted amazing and don’t even get me started on the cakes. My mum is a hard person to please but she really enjoyed the food. The staff are so lovely and friendly and it’s a place you could sit for hours. Its very clean and the toilets were immaculate (always an important factor for me!!!)

This cafe has only been open for 7 weeks. ( we overhead another customer asking). I would advise getting there before everyone else finds it. Really great experience for us. Can’t wait for a return visit. Good quality ingredients seem to be used.

This was our first time in this cafe. The welcome was pleasant, the cafe was spotless and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We had breakfast and drinks and they were very good. We will be back.

We went to the cafe around 3pm for a late lunch. Both had a panini and soup which came with a salad and coleslaw, all fresh and homemade. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere, we didn’t feel rushed and were able to take our time eating. Free WiFi and the coffee is really nice. We will definitely be back

Great to see this little gem in Falkirk. Cosy feel and great service from Andrew and his team. Lunch was very tasty and good value. Loved the branded coffee!

Excellent value full breakfast - large plate with all you would expect and items well prepared. Only downside is the brown bread toast where the quality could be improved.

Falkirks newest Cafe, we went in for lunch, and received a lovely warm welcome from staff. Magnificent Mac n Cheese was the best I've tasted in a long time. Coffee and Caramel Shortcake to follow, was great. A brand new cafe with a relaxed atmosphere,friendly staff, and really good food. We will return, recommend a visit.

this wee place is a little treasure , from the welcome u get from all staff , and the food was just lovely , I had homemade nachos which were amazing !! , really lovely coffee . oh and the home baking to die for , I had a scone with fresh cream and jam which was delicious , if in Falkirk you have to try this place out . Cafe is lovely and clean and just very welcoming .

Just what I needed. Sourdough stack with bacon and poached eggs with sauce. Great. Also good coffee.
