My favourite place in Cottingham, very friendly staff, coffee and food is great, such a relaxing place

We were looking for somewhere dog friendly for lunch after our visit to Wandahome in South Cave. The owners were really welcoming and it was nice and cosy inside on a cold day with the fires lit. As it was a Sunday we opted for the Sunday Roast. It was a tough choice though because the menu is fantastic! The drinks menu is equally as good as the food menu too. The food came out in good time and was one of the best roasts I’ve had in a long time! We managed to squeeze in some deserts and can definitely recommend the chocolate brownie and the sticky toffee pudding. Service was excellent and our pup got lots of fuss too. If you’re in the area and are looking for great food and drink in a lovely atmosphere, then this is your place! You won’t be disappointed.

Myself and 35+ of my colleagues spent a wonderful afternoon at the Ferry Inn Brough on Friday 13th of December. We were allocated a lovely room for our annual Christmas drinks and we had a very nice buffet. The quality of the food was excellent with more than enough for everyone. Sarah was so fantastic, she procided us with everything we needed to setup my speaker and Karaoke gear. We enjoyed the afternoon so much, the staff behind the bar and the kitchen were so helpful and friendly. I hope that next year we can maybe get it to last a bit longer, we might just have to invite our wives, that might help. We had such a great time that we have already booked for next December's party.

Great pub food Sunday lunch to die for, lovely. Have eaten here, on a number of occasions, not had a bad meal. Friendly staff. Will certainly be back.

A friend visiting from Scotland (staying in Walkington) Stopped by for coffee & cake at 3pm We both ordered the carrot cake - nice size portions, delicious cake - very moist Lovely location Highly recommended Take cash

Our order came out incorrect with things missing, that arrived 5 minutes after. Someone came in threatening to burn the place down…..rather than apologising they then stood and gossiped about it. So unprofessional. Won’t be returning.
