Popped in today for the first time and had a late lunch box on site and a take-home cake . Very impressed, the food quality is excellent and adds something to Newquay's cafe culture. Defo will be coming back

Love this cafe for breakfast and lunch - easy access, parking easy and efficient friendly staff. The coffee is always good. Well recommended if you’re about Newquay and stuck for somewhere decent!

Realy good coffee and cinnamon whirls. Very nicely served by friendly and efficient lady. Hope when they have been there longer the walls could be painted a more cheerful colour than dark grey ! It could do with better layout and more comfortable seating. Lots of potential for a favourite cafe here.

El exterior no es demasiado caluroso, sin embargo, el interior, el servicio, la decoración, la estancia en general no me decepcionó. Está claro que le falta algo del estilo y lujo del Scarlet, sin embargo, disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia, volveré, y a menudo lo recomendaría.

Despite visiting the garden centre on numerous occasions, I’d never visited the Potting Shed , what a find! The food was splendid ( the sausage and mash was probably the best I’ve ever tasted ) but the real assets for the restaurant are the staff , everyone of them was so genuinely friendly. The young man who helped me at the ice cream counter went out his way to help me with my friend’s dessert ( my friend has Alzheimer’s and can be quite specific in her likes and dislikes) . He went the extra mile and I’m only sorry I didn’t note his name but thank you , it made my friend’s day ! We will definitely be back !

Lovely lunch, great location, beautiful hotel surroundings. The spa was being enjoy by couples while we were relaxing with a couple of drinks and lunch. We chatted so much that we ordered cream tea, however the scones were extremely overbaked and we sent them back, else it would have been a 5* review.

We were recommended the cafe day by day by our relatives who were staying at the caravan park but the day we got there to finally have the recommended super breakfast-there was only the owner there closing it up for the season! He offered us bacon butties initially but when he found out we had been planning for days to come for the sooo highly recommended full English breakfast-he put all his tidying aside and cooked us the most amasing breakfast we've had for the entire stay in Newquay- and served it with a smile! It is so rare these days to see a business owner with such genuine warmth and willingness to help. Thank you Mark-we had a fanomenal breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the morning-thank you your kindness. Much appreciated!

Sept 24: Coffee was good, but the two young women serving should consider a non-customer facing role in Cornish Tourism...? Not only does the Beach Box not accept cash, but they carried on talking to each other about how dirty cash was and had to keep washing their hands... FYI from a friend in Environmental Health, coins rubbing together in someone's pockets kills germs...!! Plus they should apologise for not being able to take cash, not Scorn Customers who choose not to take a wallet full of credit cards into the beach.... Wax is located in a great spot and didn’t disappoint. We went there on a sunny day but got a table and enjoyed the views from the upstairs outdoor area. Food and service were excellent, burgers very good and also special mention to the fried squid. Would recommend for a chilled lunch

We went for the Steak night , we were not disappointed!! One of the best meals we have ever had . Friendly staff .. all of them . Friendly atmosphere. We have also gone there for a crafty after walk drink when we go to Mawgan Porth to walk our dog .

Close to the beach but wildly overpriced for really basic fare and their “artisan gelato” is disgusting. We tried three flavours and they were all terrible, but the chocolate was so atrocious we couldn’t finish it. Ask yourself when the last time you didn’t finish an ice cream was!
