Gridl Ltd in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Picked up a breakfast from Gridl when we were staying round the corner from it last week, booked for just before 9am and drove round, really easy to find in the corner of Bookers car park, got a thumbs up as I pulled in to the car park so was ready bang on time. Everything we had was hot, fresh and really good quality produce, hit the spot perfectly for me, would not hesitate to return next time we are in the area. Really friendly guy serving as well, wish him all the best 👍

Placed an online order for Breakfast this morning, firstly I was well impressed with the ordering system I received a confirmation text to say order had been received and another to say it was ready to collect. Breakfast was probably the best I have had in Newquay with quality ingredients and was great value for money. Highly recommended and will definitely be ordering again.

Too good to miss Two wraps and two stacks freshly made as we stood in the sun watching a maestro in action! Fab food with our requested omissions for one of the wraps taken into account with no bother at all. Our teenagers wolfed their breakfast with relish and made their requests for our next trip to Gridl. If you’re close to Newquay do not miss out on this fabulous, amazing value and lovely service spot.

Amazing food, cooked fresh to order with what seemed like high quality ingredients. I had the largest breakfast, the TRPLGRIDL and was set for the day! Highly recommended!

You can always taste when someone actually cares about the food they're cooking and the people they cook for, and it makes a world of difference. Unlike a greasy spoon where the food tastes generic, mass produced and rushed, Gridls' breakfast had me wondering where the hell he gets these sausages and bacon from, what is it that makes them so good, and why in God's name is every cafe not selling these high quality meats. The bacon is no joke about 3 times thicker than what you get in your everyday caf, and I don't know what they've seasoned the sausages with but the flavour is unrivalled. I've eaten at every cafe I can that touts "Cornish sausage", and I've yet to taste a better one. The egg, mushrooms and tomatoes were perfectly seasoned with salt, pepper and I believe parsley? Perfect balance of garlic in the mushrooms, and I don't know where these tomatoes are from but the difference in quality compared to your generic cheap ones was palpable. The toast, which in many places I find rather a chore to finish, was lightly done, incredibly soft and quality bread. A perfect complement to the meal, as opposed to an overbearing and bland addition that must be forced down in order to not feel like a wasteful glutton. I was sceptical about the average sized breakfast, as I have an insatiable appetite, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I wasn't hungry until well after 3pm. Perhaps it's the calibre of the food, likely containing more nutrients than your cheap and uncheerful greasy spoons, that kept me going. Or perhaps it was the beaming smile and energy of the owner going above and beyond to do everything he can to provide a top tier service for his customers, who he clearly values as individuals, and not just cash cows. An attitude like this from a small business owner, especially in such trying times, is a feast in itself. Swift service, personal touch, top quality produce, affordable price (especially compared to some places in Cornwall these days where you can pay as much as £15 for a breakfast without even a coffee), and my money goes towards a pleasant young man trying to support his family. Nothing bad to say whatsoever. My only regret is that Gridl isn't available in Falmouth! Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Oh and the coffee was perfect.
