Always call in when cycling through the Poldice Valley from home and then back through Twelvehead, Chacewater to Blackwater. Wonderful choice if fresh healthy foods and amazing cakes. Staff are always brilliant

Visited a few weeks ago for the first time. My other half suggested it to me as he said whenever he was cycling along the Bissoe trail this place always look busy – it must be good! Anyway my friend and I both ordered fish finger sandwiches and have to say they were amazing. Before leaving I spotted the homemade bacon and egg pie on the counter so bought a lovely portion of that for my mum! Highly recommended ✨

Such a cute cafe at the entrance along the mining trails. Orders at the small hatch with seating outside, some with overhead screening should it rain. Helpful friendly service. We came here for breakfast before going for a walk. The small breakfast is superlative value, its very good produce and its cooked beautifully though our eggs were a bit over done. But overall, it was so so good, the hogs pudding was brilliant. Who ever cooks this brekkie is a star. My partner had the vegetarian one which had three sausages! He said they were very good. The breakfasts cost £8.50 each, which includes a hot drink and buttered toast! I don't think this price can be beaten. Cakes look so good too. We will back

A great cafe on a cycle/walking route. We've been here several times all the food is tasty - hot pork baps (my favourite)- salads- breakfast baps - cakes and a variety of drinks, good service too.

Finally managed to stop here while out on the bikes today. Plenty of outdoor seating, friendly staff, and our food was DELICIOUS! I will definitely plan all our bike rides around stopping here!!

A hidden gem. Outside dining experience with some covered areas. Good value wholesome food at good prices. Great selection of homemade cakes and goodies for sale to eat in or takeaway. Visited a few times and always good

I love this place. Perfectly positioned at the meeting of the Devoran to Portreath coast to coast path and the Redruth to Chacewater Trail it's a welcome starting and/or finishing point for some great hikes. There's free off road parking a few hundred feet from the cafe too. I park up, grab some cake and coffee from the cafe and then hike all day. If I'm lucky the cafe is still open when I get back. If you like cake then this is the place for you. Frequented by horse riders, hikers and cyclists mostly. Friendly staff.

Out of all the pretentious cafes in Truro - I’d rather come here for proper food and drink. It’s peaceful and the menu has so much choice 🫶🏻

Good cakes, but the coffee was a bit weak and the thin paper cups were horrid.

Popped by today for some warm drinks and cake. Service was excellent and all staff very friendly. Will certainly pop by again.

We stopped for lunch today, I had wonderful tuna toastie and a mocca drink, my husband had chicken sandwich and mocca drink, the salad accompanying both was really superb. Many thanks to lovely staff and lovely lunch, will definitely go there again.

Have just called the restaurant to let you know what a lovely breakfast I have just had and promised a review… Have been here before just for a tasty coffee and cake on a walk but today I treated myself to brunch. Not disappointed AT ALL! It was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this gorgeous little gem of a restaurant. Staff are also so friendly and welcoming and helpful. Thankyou guys xx

Stopped on our cycle ride for lunch and had an excellent gluten free menu we enjoyed the cheese pasty and one of our party is now a convert to their gluten free curry pasty. Enjoyed a huge slice of cake and a milkshake. Lovely staff too.

What a gem of a cafe tucked away on the mining trails just outside Twelveheads. Great menu, the bacon baps come highly recommended! Generous portions, vegan and gluten free selections, and excellent coffee. Open seven days a week. Highly recommended. Always busy but worth the wait. The coffee and cake deals are amazing.

We cycled to this gem on a beautiful day in early September and had great coffee and delicious flapjacks. The food menu and other baked goods looked incredible, too. 10/10 will be back again!

We love popping in for cake on our walks especially the carrot cake and burgers. Always tasty food and everyone is so friendly. We asked if it would be possible for a birthday cake for our daughters party and with less than two weeks notice and Suzie said yes without hesitation and even coloured it blue and went to the effort to order paw prints online to use on the cake to go with the paw patrol theme. Everyone loved the cake and were asking where they could go to have more! Highly recommended

A really great little cafe in a wonderfully quiet location with lovely attentive staff even when it's mega busy, which I think it often is! You could see that every cyclist on the trail was stopping there for a pitstop. After my perfect big breakfast and yummy coffee, I could see why.

Lovely fish finger sandwich for my self, my husband had a Brie bacon and cranberry toastie what was also lovely, it was very welcome after our circuits class walk.

Had the Bon Appetit special which was nice but unfortunately not very hot. One of us had a fish finger sandwich also a bit disappointing, expected more than a couple of std Fish fingers for the price.

Home bakes and home cooked food is on offer. A wide choice of drinks - hot and cold. Caters for variety of diets. Very friendly staff. Clean and welcoming. Dog and child friendly.

I ordered jacket potato with tuna mayo , it came served on a paper plate with disposable cutlery , I can honestly say this is the worst meal I’ve had , the potato was disgusting., I’ve no idea when it had been cooked, , obviously reheated in the microwave. , I was hungry after a long walk , however I left most of it , I also ordered a cup of tea , again served in a paper cup , the tea was stewed , horrible , Thank you for your response , and offer of refund , however it’s not about the money . With reference to your policy of using disposable plates and useless cutlery since covid is not correct , other customers were served similar meal on crockery with steel knives and forks .

Stop here after a day riding. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing I would highly recommend a visit.

We stopped here after cycling and the cream teas were so amazing the clotted cream was gorgeous and so was the cinnamon swirl. My boyfriend loved his chocolate milkshake as well. The staff were very friendly and lovely.

Great little place to stop to have something to eat and drink. We had a toastie and it came with plenty of salad. The toastie was bloomin’ lovely and the price is great and staff extremely friendly. Will be returning to try some cake 😊

Glorious day for a walk so we parked nearby, out and back in a few hours then called in to Bon Appetite again for a Homity Pie, and a Ham toastie, both with accompanying salad. Os 🐾 had a doggie ice cream which was welcome in the heat. Food was fantastic - freshly made whilst we sat outside in the sun ! Very highly recommended 👍🏼

Very friendly and popped in on a recommendation from the owner of the airbnb we were staying at. We'd been on a bike ride and they made a big fuss of the puppy. Cakes looked delicious, drinks were presented well and there was room to sit outside with some shade as well.

Just what we needed, having walked our dog along the cycle trail on a hot morning and just fancied popping in for an ice cream. Bon Appetit is ideally situated for both cyclists and walkets alike, and could not have been more dog friendly, with a nice big bowl of water put out for thirsty pooches. We were soon tempted by other goodies on the very comprehensive and reasonably priced menu and settled for churros and a milk shake. Whilst placing our order, I could see cake mixture being poured into a tin, so the range of cakes are home made and looked delicious. What is obviously a converted farmyard was the ideal spot to sit in the sun (there is some undercover seating for less sunny days). My husband said that was the best milk shake he had ever had (praise indeed), and I have to agree with him. Our 9 month old springer puppy was made a fuss of by the staff and the whole experience was brilliant. Our pup was well behaved enough for us to feel that we could have stayed longer. I’m sure Bon Appetit will be a favourite and next time we will stop for lunch, as the food coming out to other tables looked delicious!

Lovely little cafe in the middle of nowhere, almost. The good from there has always, in my opinion, been excellent.

An Early morning start having decided to take the pooches for a well deserved walk. I never start the walk without stopping here first. The location is lovely, the people are lovely and the food is excellent including a decent flatwhite. You need to visit if you are in the area.

My Husband and I went for lunch on recommendation. Extensive menu with lots of vegan and veggie options, great selection of drinks and delicious cakes and sweet treats. Very popular with walkers and cyclists and a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was so fresh and portions were very generous. Staff friendly. Such a lovely place. Great value for money. Can’t wait to return.

Really lovely cafe along the Bissoe bike trail. Stopped off for cream tea and coffee, service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed and happy.

Sadly the soup I had was dreadful! Green watery liquid. I had ordered vegetable soup and don't know what this was. I would normally have taken it straight back to complain, but it was half term and busy and people with children were queuing in the rain, so I didn't. I just made a note not to eat there again. Coffee was fine and cake was fine. Staff were fine. Just awful soup!

Another amazing gluten free cream tea. Such amazing choice for everyone and always service with a smile. A lovely stop whether walking or cycling.

Super little place, but with not such a little menu! Great choice for all appetites as well as friendly staff. Just stopped for coffee & cake as we had already eaten, but will make a point of stopping there for lunch next time on the trail.

Great lil place to eat. A large variety of hot/cold food & drink to suit dietary needs. Very friendly staff. Only down side, if weather is pants, take a umbrella as you may not be able to sit under cover.

It's a gem, tucked away very handily at the start and end of a circular walk so this is the second visit. Great flat white, tasty bacon and sausage bap with an excellent fish finger sandwich as well. Clean, tidy, nice seating undercover as well as open air.

Always friendly and with comfy outside seating. Plenty of vegan options. Very reasonable prices. Dog and cyclist friendly.

Positioned perfectly on the bissoe trail is this beautifully humble and homely café. There's a lovely menu offering a remarkably broad menu including hot and cold food and drinks. My pasty was clearly home cooked and it tasted suitably amazing. The staff are friendly and accommodating. While I was sitting on one of the parasol adorned tables and comfy chairs there were a number of other costumers who were treated as friendly as myself. I may even walk on the trail again with the sole purpose of revisiting.

Simply fabulous for both cyclists and gluten free / coeliacs. Plus well situated on the cycle trail. Lovely staff who knew what they were doing with allergies. So many options for GF, from pasty to cream tea, which is what we had and it was scrumptious! Also many options for vegans and vegetarians. We'll be back for sure!!

Called here today and was surprised at how much better the seating area is. Places in the shade and under cover too. Nice coffee, non dairy options, great selection of food for everyone and some quality preserves. Well worth a stop on your cycle ride or walk.

The worst thing about this place is their popularity. Great food on a welcome bike stop. Plenty of racks to park your bike too.

We have visited the Bon Appetit a few times whilst riding the Coast to coast cycle route. The place is located belt and clean and the staff always welcoming. We had pasties today which were very nice and reasonably priced.

Literally just down the road for me it certainly has improved since it first opened! Great for a cold/hot drink for walkers and cyclists and of course very dog friendly.

Found whilst out walking in the area. Lovely little courtyard cafe serving really good coffee and milkshakes & delicious home made cakes. Also wide variety of food . Staff are very friendly too. Would definitely recommend. Not sure if it’s one for bad weather as it looks like it’s mainly outside but a few tables were under cover.

This is a lovely place to get refreshments and is situated right on the mining trail so I imagine packed often in season. We stopped here today and they where very dog friendly indeed. Our food was delicious and the flat white hit the spot.

My daughter and I enjoyed lunch here after our walk along the mining trail. We had toasted cheese and tuna sandwiches on brown bread. They were served with a very nice salad and the sandwiches were exceptionally good. Sadly, we didn’t have room for one of the tempting cakes but I am sure we’ll be back in the future. I heartily recommend this restaurant for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.
