Always a good night out at The Dolphin. We reserved the Garden Room for a meeting, with drinks and dinner, and all went smoothly - thank-you.

Excellent food, large portions. We enjoyed their nachos and baguette with prawns in a marie rose sauce, salad and sweet potato fries. Good value and friendly service.

We enjoyed the Thai Green Curry and the Sausages, Mash with Red Cabbage - the gravy was deliciously rich. Nice beer helped the food go down easily. Nice venue with a log fire warming the spacious room.

Cobbs Cafe. Fantastic breakfast. Please ensure to book a table as it can get very busy. Staff are is very friendly and place is spotlessly clean. Loved it.

We booked the Regency park to meet up with another couple. The price was very reasonable, we upgraded to a superior junior suite. On arrival we found that there was a very large private car park. We were greeted and given our room. The room was on the second floor. The only lift was out of order. That said- the stairs were just two flights and shallow. Our room had a balcony, met and blackout curtains. Our bed was a king size, comfortable. We had a seating area, a desk, ample wardrobe space. We had a small fridge, hairdryer, iron and board, tea, coffee and a kettle with biscuits. Sadly the safe battery had run out, but I didn’t really need it. The on site restaurant was very comfortable, the service (Chloe) was excellent and the food was well prepared and very tasty. Chloe asked immediately about allergies and took note of our friend’s having a Lemon/ lime allergy. The dinner menu was a bit limited but it was ok. The bar was very well stocked and again well run. We slept extremely well the first night- very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped. The over bath shower was a little old but worked extremely well. Breakfast was very good. There were a few juice options, good coffee, a nice cold/ pastries selection. The hot was under heat lights and self service. That said it was regularly replenished. The quality was high and cooking was good. A truly excellent breakfast. All in all this is a little gem. We did have a slightly less lively Saturday night as there were two functions on. The bar was extremely busy but staff kept calm and friendly and did their best. There were a number of children running round the hotel (including the bedroom corridors. More an issue for the parents who clearly didn’t care than the hotel. We are very glad that we chose the Regency park and would stay again. Big shout outs for most of the staff but special mentions for Chloe and Veronica.

the waitress emily was very good and very nice. food was delicious with just the right portions!

Lovely hotel, great breakfast. My only gripe, and nothing to do with the hotel was being kept awake by church bells. Thought they'd stop at night, but no...big ding every hour and small dings every 15 minutes!! Not sure why they need go go all night...

Visited Sunday 12th with the wife and two kids to a massive warm welcome from the landlady Sandra. We went for the roast dinners , three large and one small, the choices were chicken, lamb and beef all with the usual veg and trimmings oh and plenty of gravy.

This is the third time I have visited this place and the third time the menu was limited to next to nothing. The only difference this time was we booked a table in advance for a simple roast dinner. On arrival, we sat in a nice area. We ordered drinks before we were given a menu. Then when I requested a choice of roast, from the menu, we were told they had no Roast dinners! The whole point in booking the table was to secure a roast dinner. I ended up with Hunter's chicken which I have to say was dry and pretty awful. If I hadn't have ordered the drinks, I would have left without ordering at all. This place is so frustrating and I certainly won't be giving it another chance.

Went along to a friend's birthday party who had hired the private dining room. Although it was s et menu & we had to choose our food in advance ( my only really minor issue) the choice of dishes was very good & lovely to see sardines on the menu which seems to be quite rare nowadays. Service was good, food very nice & certainly a place I would visit again.
