No skinny milk no variety of cakes not many customers because of shop next door dirty place with dogs inside snd flies By the looks of things and rodents

This Costa is so fabulous due to the amazing staff . Young crew, all so friendly and welcoming . They remember the orders for all the regulars . It's always busy and they keep smiling. And of course , great coffee! Lovely spot even though it's a chain.

I popped in to grab a coffee, i ordered a decaf cappuccino with syrup, i got a very strong kinda white one with no syrup, i ask the miserable girl if she had put some in and she replied yes!! Questionable!! The worst thing was it was a free coffee that was on my Costa card!! What a waste! I would have taken it back but didn't have time!! Not ever going there again!!

The usual excellent service from Costa Coffee in Pangbourne despite the actions of a number of local residents who have spread inaccurate rumours based on zero facts and pure speculation. Colleagues have been subjected to abuse by those that think they have done wrong. Bullying behaviour by so called "adults" Costa will retain my support as their colleagues are always superb.

I pop in for a coffee pretty much every day, the staff are really friendly, helpful and welcoming and the coffee is great. I can take my puppy in (who always gets a warm welcome) when I order and can then sit outside and enjoy the sun! I've made a point of trying a cappuccino from each of the (many) coffee shops in Pangbourne, I love them all but Costa is the winner for me. I don't often have cakes/pastries there, but it tends to be a chocolate twist when I do.

Excellent and very friendly staff . Make you keep wanting to come back even though was my first visit. Highly recommended

Wow standards and service have gone down immensely, tables always dirty with trays left on them, takes twice as long to be served and for your drink to be ready, not to mention sometimes they get the drinks wrong. Staff friendliness also gotten worse, spoke to my mother in a rude tone about not being able to hear her cause of her mask.

As a regular to this Costa it is always a very pleasant experience. Syed, Josh, Deano, Paul and all the staff are just fantastic. They are all so friendly to all their customers. It makes drinking coffee so much better.

My favourite Costa. We are in here two to three times a week for lunch and a super huge Latte. We sit outside in the sun and do a crossword whilst enjoying the atmosphere and the great snacks. You do need to bring back some of the old snacks that you had pre lockdown though or some new ones . Though that may be our fault for going too often !! Everyone is friendly and chatty and I always have a few words and a laugh with the staff.

I have been in x4 times now last few weeks staff rude drinks keep being made wrong what we were served today was just water and ice no syrup. Drinks no longer made with love. I made my mind up and won't visit anymore 😕 sad I go elsewhere. I paid with Costa app 15.00 wasn't given 2.00 promo today. Soulless. No happy vibe it should be an experience.

My mum and I go into costa pretty regularly for a takeaway and the staff are very kind and accommodating. Always polite and hard working. Nicest Costa for miles. Appreciate the service!

Went in today at lunchtime, the woman behind the till was the rudest woman I’ve ever encountered anywhere in retail!! The couple behind us also commented on how rude she was! Would rather travel a bit further and get decent service that go back there

My mum regularly goes to costa in Pangbourne for a coffee and something to eat. She went in this week after going into the village for her essential shopping and needed the loo she was told they aren't available due to covid which she understood but to then be told she should have never gone out if she would need the loo and should stay at home as she is old is disgusting. Told my mum to support the local businesses instead of a chain.

Had an afternoon coffee with some tits and bits the staff polite and helpful. Good location to sit outside and enjoy the sun and surrounding Thank you

stanski Newbury, UK 711 Pending review Really gone downhill since COVID... Social distancing --and fewer tables -- aside, the food and service here is really poor these days. The toasties I ordered (..take away, there were no free tables) looked and tasted terrible, congealed cheese & ham, chucked haphazardly into a cardboard sleeve. It was a joke! The guy serving was covered in sweat and looked stressed -- he could not hear me order properly and asked me to remove my mask! I had to shout! I will make my own toasties at home in future!

It's a Costa coffee shop so you know what to expect. Comfortable seating and spacious. Clean toilets. Clean all round.

This is a lovely newly built Costa, it’s airy and well laid out. To park in the carpark behind the shop for 1hr customers must pay £1 in cash at the barrier which is not refundable against their Costa purchase which is frustrating.The serving staff lack the professional attitude of staff we’ve encountered at other Costas - a young man working there whilst serving my partner asked to see my their ID...my partner is 55yrs old and works in a professional job, the request was apparently the servers idea of a ‘joke’ we didn’t find it amusing, neither did the people stood behind us in the long queue it was just a weird thing to say..the server found it hilarious though (little things please little minds the saying goes) we’ve also had an issue in this Costa concerning table clearing - most of the tables required wiping & used crockery collecting we approached a member of staff who was stood behind the counter playing on her phone and requested the table was cleared/cleaned..without giving eye contact she told us someone would be over to do it and continued on her phone - if this was her break fair enough...however surely she shouldn’t be stood behind the counter fiddling on her phone if it was her break? Our visits are usually Sunday afternoons so perhaps a manager might like to pop in occasionally and assess this shop?

Used today for the first time whilst working. Really quick service and great coffee. Couldn't fault a thing, will definitely use again.

I've been visiting Costa in Pangbourne for some time now and have been constantly impressed with the attention to detail and consideration that all the staff show towards their elderly and also disabled customers.The menu is as in all Costas, but the efforts the staff make to help people feel at home, yet still like customers, are exemplary

Great Costa in a nice Village. Especially in nice Weather as its got outside seating at the front and back of the premises.

I went to Costa with my friend for a quick drink. When we got to order, I ordered the bonfire spiced hot chocolate for us both and I was very taken aback when the two men serving us burst out laughing at me. For someone to laugh at me for no apparent reason when all I did was order a drink was quite upsetting. Then he said to us would you like marshmallows on your hot chocolate? So we said yes please. Then he said... Well they don't come with marshmallows and laughed at us again! Then he said I will put one on the side of the plate for you and made my friend take it off the tongs that he was dangling over the plate. We went to taste our drinks to find that we had been given lattes not hot chocolates (I specifically didn't order a caffienated drink as it reacts with my medication) but we just put up with it as we didn't want to have anymore interaction with the most obnoxious person I've ever come across!! It's a real shame as the people serving during the week are really pleasant (and normal!). The person who served us today really needs to take a lesson in customer service and it has really put me off ever coming back. I've never felt so uncomfortable ordering a drink.

Having 2 staff on a busy Saturday is utterly ridiculous- for the amount Costa charge, I’m sure they can afford to hire an extra person! There was one other girl in the back doing dishwasher duties, really she should have been heating up paninis etc. to help with the queue, I’ts not a difficult task. The man on the till couldn’t cope with taking orders, using the till and doing food at the same time.Definitely not the place to go if you are in a rush!! This is the problem with big chains, they don’t care at all about service or customers, just keeping costs down and making as much profit as they can. Bring back the independent shops!!

Over the bank holiday weekend, I visited this particular Costa on 3 occasions.Each one, I received a warm welcome and superb, prompt service.This morning, I drank the BEST coconut latte I have ever tasted in a coffee house.Thank you Costa Pangbourne, I will visit again next time!

Staff are great! Fast service as well. Place is very clean! Just wish the costumes could take care of using the toilets properly.

The pangbourne Costa is a great place to have a snack, drink, or some lunch. Just like all costas, but still great.

The service is really quick and very sufficient so you aren't waiting around for long, and if you need to nip in for a quick drink then be somewhere it is the perfect place. The branch is very spacious and is never too noisy or crowded. Last time I went, I had a very nice hot chocolate and millionaire tart with my friend which where both extremely nice and very tasty.

Best Costa in the area friendly staff. Especially Emily she was really friendly helped us out with our daughter. Definitely be back in the holidays l.

Cada vez que volvamos a Gran Bretaña comenzamos buscando un Café Costa tan pronto como echarnos a la carretera. Esta vez fue en la lectura que el primero. El capuchino era tan bueno como esperábamos, y descubrimos el nuevo Lindt chocolate caliente, que sabían muy bien. El personal era amable.

Excellent friendly service. Spacious seating with natural light. Only downside is that Pangbourne is not great for free parking. Food and coffee .. well it's Costa so pretty much the same all over!

Costa es Costa he tenido buen café y mal quemado de café. Hoy nos había estado mirando muebles de roble, en el camino de vuelta paramos para tomar un café, aunque ocupado nos sirvieron rápidamente y eficientemente, el café era de buena calidad. La tienda estaba lleno y la tripulación fueron juntadas para mantener el área pública, en ordenada toda la conseguí lo que quería, la ubicación era buena y un montón de aparcamiento en la parte trasera de la tienda o en los parques locales coche barato. Las tiendas y restaurantes locales parecía interesante también! Ah, y tenía una pastelería así agradable!

Whilst I like Costa in general, I would prefer to patronise an independent, local business if possible. However, this Costa knocks spots off the independents in the village. It has become the meeting place of choice for Pangbourne Residents and is always full and buzzing. The interior is spacious and warm. What really makes this place special is the outstandingly warm, welcoming and friendly service of the staff, even when they are under pressure. They value all customers, greeting newcomers and getting to know their regulars. The place across the road has much to learn in this respect. It deserves to corner the local market.

Love Costa in Pangbourne. Super friendly staff, seating out the back or the front where you can people watch, often meet friends here for a coffee and toast for a late breakfast. Coffee as always delicious.

Very busy quite often, but don't have to wait long before your served. Always a friendly face and they know what I'm drinking.

I visit Pangbourne a couple of times a month and always find this branch of Costa provides excellent service and coffee as ordered!Small outside area with seating is pleasant but like most outside cafe areas these days it is dominated by smokers great for them, not so great for those of us who don't want to inhale second hand smoke.Always a pleasant greeting from the barristers - this visit was no exception.Everywhere is always clean and tidy - even the toilets!

Yes all Costas have the same product so I will not bore you with my views on the coffee etc. Where Costas differ is in who staffs them.In Pangbourne you get quick, friendly service so well done to the team there. Wish I could say the same for the slow, and rather ignorant staff that populate one of their London Baker St stores!

We are regular visitors here because the staff remember us and remember how we like our drinks! (Even from the beginning)

Costa can be found on every high street, mall, station etc.In general you either like / accept the chain experience or not.However, I felt this was a dazzling example of the chain when I visited with my Mother. Tables out front and back, comfortable, clean and laid back. Air con was fab on the hot day we were there. Clean toilets.Service was very good.

Most places provide good coffee and Costa coffee chain is found everywhere. It does not add any value to the quality and diverse Pangbourne high street.

Popped in here for a drink after cycling to Pangbourne. It was very busy and there wasn't much order at the tills, I waited for someone to acknowledge I was waiting to be served and ended up having my order asked by the man whose job it was to prepare the drinks and the he had to relay the order to the waitress when she appeared. The waitress appeared rather stressed out and I found it quite unprofessional how rude and short she appeared with the man trying his best to prepare all of the drinks and remember the long list of drinks he was preparing my memory as no order slips were passed to him. It just seemed rather stressful as I ordered and I was glad to have our drinks outside. Average hot chocolate and flat white, I wished we had chosen the cafe across the road which was an independent one and had the sunshine at that time of day!

Great place to meet up, gets busy as situated on Reading Road. Good seating arrangements with friendly and efficient staff. Great products. Would recommend to anyone.

Not keen on Costa Coffee brand - their coffee is generally quite bitter and hot chocolates are so sickly sweet. Food selection is varied but just very general and not quality. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Went for a hot chocolate to stave off the winter cold and rain. Nice enough at first, but the sickly concentration of the sweet syrup flavour addition further down the cup meant that at least half of the drink was wasted.

Being a visitor to the UK, this was our first visit to a Costa Coffee store. Having experienced other similar outlets, I was expecting the usual weak, tasteless brew. No so! Great coffee, great snack to go with it and friendly service.

Not only is this the best coffee shop in Pangbourne, it is the best Costa I have been in and I have been here quite a few times.

Religiously patronised Little Henry's until it closed. They did fantastic cakes and coffee. Tried it in its new guise to try to 'stay local' but found it alarmingly expensive. So.... Swallowed principles and visited Costs. It's a great branch. Lovely, open, airy setting and an incredibly warm welcome from attentive staff. Food and coffee are good, reliable and good value compared with the new place over the road. I have also brought a large cycling group out here from Windsor on a Saturday ride. Great space to park bikes within view at back.

Best Costa I've been to. Coffee is consistently good and the staff are always friendly. Seating is good and atmosphere is as a coffee shop should be.

Great coffees and sandwiches. My Sister and me have only had the chance to go a few times but on each visit we have been warmly welcomed. The staff are excellent and all work well together. The cafe is well arranged with easy access for everyone. The outside space makes it more appealing too.

Five stars but you know what to expect. Its a Costa! But a very well run and friendly Costa with staff who are really making an effort.

Great, friendly staff, good quality food/drink and very clean. Nice seating areas at front and back with metal hoops to keep your dog tethered while you grab a coffee to drink outside. It's a shame the independent shops can't match the experience.

Good coffee and friendly, efficient service. Can't complain at all. Could do with a space to park somewhere for quick takeaways, but other than that this is great. I continue to give all the coffee shops in the village my business, but some need to take some notes on how Costa is run!

The pricing of costa's products are extravagant, but the quality is top notch. The range of products as wide as their . I was surprised to see that there were no deals or discounts as I expected there to be because of how popular it is. Costa coffee is very well advertised. The location is excellent as it is situated in the busiest are of Reading town centre. Overall, meh.

Having tried to give the local coffee shops a chance and been disappointed my husband and I went for lunch at Costa last week and loved it! The staff are so pleasant and helpful, carrying our coffee to the table for us and chatting to all the customers, such a nice atmosphere. The sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was excellent. We will definitely be calling in again.

What an amazing and polite team they have put into costa which is new to the village Coffee is as good as ever and will continue to spend my hard earned in there !

I wouldn't typically bother with writing a review about an international coffee chain BUT it is located in Pangbourne which has very little else. I have up till now been a supporter of local shops but Costa have made it clear how stark the difference is between good service and what locals have had to tolerate for too long! The Costa efficiency and professionalism will almost certainly expedite the end of Little Henry's. I stubbornly stood in Little Henry's queue for almost 15 minutes waiting to be served, witnessing the snails pace efforts until I finally gave up and succumbed to crossing the street to Costa.The coffee is good and in spite of what misguided leftists will say, the shop has brought jobs and a noticeably younger shopper to Pangbourne high street. Well done Costa!

Costa Coffee opened for business on Christmas Eve and did not disappoint. The coffe, of course, was of Costas usual high standard. The service and welcome was refreshing and I am sure this facility will be an asset to the village. Long may it be so.
