Afternoon tea, stale sandwiches, scones came without any butter/jam, cold coffee definitely not worth money shall not be returning.

Always such a pleasure to come to Cobbs. Always received with a smile and made to feel special! It’s our Wednesday morning treat. We don’t need to look at the menu as the lovely ladies always know what we like! Always treated with utmost care!

Popped in again to grab a breakfast unfortunately we didnt get there early enough and didn't book . Not keen on Having to book a seat but the shop side is very good fresh vegs etc meat counter and aother foods lovely place to go to.

Best farm shop in the vicinity and incredible incredible staff! Would so recommend it. Sometimes the kitchen needs to pay attention to not send half hot sausages out which have been under the heat for to long but other than that I can only recommend it! Much better than the big one on the A33

Lovely venue and fab local food but each time I have visited something has been broken- last time it was the gas and this time the blender. It would be good if, when we are given the menus, we are advised of what is NOT available. Other than this a good experience and attentive friendly staff.

Cobbs Cafe. Fantastic breakfast. Please ensure to book a table as it can get very busy. Staff are is very friendly and place is spotlessly clean. Loved it.

Good range of foods. Excellent butchery counter with helpful staff selling delicious sausages. (I attended a sausage making evening here, and the same staff were great teachers as well! ) A surprisingly wide range of 'loose' products to purchase in any amount: frozen fruits, pastas, and frozen ready-to-cook danishes, for example.

Food was cold. Will not be returning.

We had a fantastic breakfast at Cobbs at Englefield! The food was delicious, fresh, and well prepared, the farm shop as well stocked with high quality of products. A special thanks to *Sam* for her warm and friendly welcome, she made our experience great! The service was excellent, fast, and attentive. Highly recommend for a great breakfast in a cozy setting. We’ll definitely be back!

The place has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The food was just okay, and the portion of beans was surprisingly small. Customer service left much to be desired we weren’t allowed to exchange an item we didn’t like, and even requesting new cutlery felt like an inconvenience. To top it off, we never received a glass of water, which added to the frustration. Given all this, we didn’t feel inclined to leave a tip. Wouldn’t rush back.

Very disappointed. I called and booked a table for 3pm to eat with a friend and her children. Got there and they said they'd just stopped serving food! Why would you stop serving food when you know you have people booked! Awful service

Staff friendly and service was good, food was ok. Had the Wagu burger, which was really underwhelming. Chips/fries overdone and hard on all meals, get loads even for a children's meal. Milkshakes were ok. Mediocre experience overall.

Lovely place! My husband and I went there with our 10 months old daughter and breakfast was delicious! Eggs Benedict & Full English and scrambled eggs for the little one. We recently moved into the area and will certainly be returning.

Delicious roast chicken on a Sunday. Bit cheeky of them to charge £2 for a roast pudding though.

Been plenty of times now for coffee/food so I'll provide some general feedback. Love the shop and butchers, the team also provide the odd free bone for the dogs which is appreciated. I love the pork pies and meats available. The fish van that comes round is a great touch. The cafe is where it is highs and lows. They can't seem to do a decent coffee, the food is fine at times and other times it's just bland. Catch it at the wrong time and your sausage bap or pancakes can be stale. Service isn't quick which isn't the end of the world but they often get the specifics wrong. Example, "could we get the fruit in a separate bowl" comes to the table and it's all over the food. Feedback is often taken as a complaint, which it isn't. We will be back, just some feedback (not a complaint 😉). Note: They are great with kids.

Delicious food. Farm shop has a huge variety of wonderful food, from locally made craft beers to vegan and veggie local curry sauces. We bought a lot in our first trip and have been pleased. Will definitely be back.

We had the afternoon cream tea and it was lovely. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overly so. It was busy and a bit noisy at times but we really enjoyed the experience. Top marks from us.

On the way to reading, found this farm house, lots of choice inside, good quality food.

What a lovely place. We stopped here for breakfast on recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the coffee was great. Friendly staff and a great variety of foods in the shop area. Loved it.

Very impressed with this gem of a place.Was looking for a quality alternative place as an alternative to those grubby,dirty Motorway Service stops along M4 and searched out "Cobbs",So close to the M4 to wish I'd found it long ago.Great Breakfast,Super Friendly Welcoming Staff and what a fantastic set up they have there,One of the best butchers displays I've seen in a long while(so well done Butchery Team👌).Also have a well stocked farm shop with a good range of foods & goods.Thank you "Cobbs" great place you have there and a great team.I look forward to returning very very soon.

Cafe is great. Coffee is first class. Great gluten free brownie too. Family friendly. Biker friendly. Big outside space. Farm shop is lovely but very expensive.

Very disappointing Afternoon Tea, stale bread for sandwiches which must of been made hours before we arrived, inedible sausage rolls which were very cold (straight from the fridge). I did complain and we were given replacement sandwiches - lettuce and very fatty gammon ham. Not worth the £40 paid so would definitely not recommend.

Stopped in today for breakfast insted of Reading services and I think this will now be a permanent fixture of any journey down the M4. Great food, lovely staff, only 4 minutes off the motorway.

Really lovely atmosphere and food. We visited the cafe today and had a couple of toasties and smoothies for lunch. The food was delicious and great portions! I didn't realise until after what an amazing cake selection that they had (would have been too full anyway!). We visited the shop after purchasing some more treats to take home. Highly recommend. Great service from all staff as well.

Went for a coffee as I was driving past. Pleasant surprise. The place is well maintained, clean and was in awe at the wood decor. Had a coffee and chocolate trufle cake and 5* for them.both. The cake was moist and not too sweet. Staff are wonderful and friendly

Planned a breakfast stopover heading west at this farm shop come cafe/diner. We booked ahead, booking an outdoor table for our party + dog. When we arrived the place was buzzing, and the outdoor area was split with one half under a large canvas awning. The booked table (bench) was in this covered area, which was noisy due to the acoustics. I wanted the food to be great having specially booked, but it was lacking... the menu looked good and offered GF options, but it basically took too long (we were warned), but it was TOO long -> food when it arrived was dry and lukewarm warm at best. Coffee was... well I wouldn't order again, and the Adult Chocolate Milkshake was powdery (?!). All in all a disappointment, even though the staff were fine, and so overall it rates only the 3 stars given. Maybe it’s just too busy to offer hot food to all their customers. Nice loos, and the Farm shop was interesting. Cafe not so much

visited this fine establishment today and was not disappointed in the slightest, amazing food, lovely shop, it was spectacular. The only one thing that i have had to complain about would be that this young lady was staring at me the entire time i was doing my shopping. This made me feel very uncomfortable due to she was giving me funny looks at the same time. Other than that what a lovely place.

I took my friend for afternoon tea to celebrate a special birthday at Cobbs in Englefield. I have previously had an unsatisfactory experience at Cobbs in Hungerford and had hoped this would be a great improvement. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when a sausage roll and quiche albeit looked good came straight from the fridge and was not warmed up. The sandwiches were resembling toast as they were during out. I was also turned down for a cold drink as this would be extra, however at Hungerford this is acceptable and in the price. How can both sites be inconsistent? Sadly the whole experience was below par compared to previous occasions and although the staff were doing their best to be efficient in a busy period I am extremely reluctant to return to Cobbs again.

Loved the farm shop more than the restaurant but very expensive!. Had lunch and quiche was average. Toasties and drinks were nice. Would visit again when quieter to try some cake but too expensive to visit often. Staff are friendly and helpful. Need somewhere for the toddlers to play.

We stopped here after a long drive and thought the food and service provided was great! It’s a shame dogs can’t come inside, but other than that no criticisms.

Favourite place to shop for quality meat. A proper butchers where you can take advice and help. Cheese counter stocks a wide range of cheeses, and staff are friendly.

Chocolate & raspberry cake was lush very light & not too sweet. Followed by cappuccino which was very warm unlike other coffee places I’ve been to. Great vibes So five stars I will be back again soon.

Today I visited Cobbs Farm shop, the item I wished to purchase, I could not find. Fortunately on the shop floor, a young lady member was available for help. Absolute incredible response, with help above and beyond expectations. Happy friendly staff, who made me very welcome indeed. What a rarity in this day and age. You now have a customer for life. Due to your most courteous and helpful service. Well done . A truly most happy customer. Thank you so much.

Lots of stars for their cafe but they are primarily a farm shop, pretty average quality ( kind of Sainsbury’s) and very high prices… I don’t mind paying more but not for this quality. PS: Hard working, professional and friendly guys working in the butcher department

I visited Cobbs in Englefield for lunch with a friend - he's a regular but this was my first visit. The restaurant area is large, bright and airy and the food excellent. You would expect a farm shop restaurant to have high quality produce and at Cobbs you won't be disappointed. I chose Ham, Eggs and Chips - simple but really tasty. Really fresh eggs with lovely golden yolks and excellent ham all partnered with nice chips with a real crunch to them. All washed down with a bottle of Ramsbury Farmers Best beer. I'm looking forward to my next visit. I'm told the menu changes seasonally which is great. Although I didn't try on this occasion, I'm sure all the ingredients can be found for sale in the shop.

When to cobbs today got some items along with a lardy cake the cake was so dry I think they forgot to put the fruit in as well won't be going back here again

The cafe is really lovely, had a great lunch. The farm shop has a good range of products.

Lots of delicious items are available here including two cocks brewery beers. The counter is always well stocked and the freezer section has a range of high quality meats. The prices are above the super market average but are very reasonable for the quality of product provided.

This is a little gem hidden away. Great selection in the farm shop after which you can sit inside or outside the coffee shop and be served by their friendly staff.

I paid a ridiculous amount for sausages in a bap and they didn't even butter the bap!

Went for Breakfast today and wasn’t disappointed with the quality, very nice, the thimble of beans and the fact we had to remind them it is served with mushrooms which we received after the food arrived being the only negative with the food. We where there as they opened so got seated quite quickly and served, the seats by the entrance do get the breeze whenever the door to the patio is opened so it did get a bit fresh at times, also the crumbs on the floor and table at the start of todays service would indicate that it hadn’t been cleaned from the day before or given a wipe over at best. A very popular venue and mostly for good reasons but I do think they have rested on their laurels a bit.

We had not booked but treated very well and a table was found service and food was great.Will go again.
