Food excellent as was the service. Atmosphere very congenial. This was our first visit but it won't be our last as the afternoon tea that came past us looked amazing.

A beautiful setting, friendly atmosphere and the staff were all amazing. We went for a Sunday roast which in my experience the best I have ever tasted. The meat was tender, a amazing array of vegetables, the roast potatoes were the best and the finale homemade Yorkshire puddings x I asked for the chef’s name as I thought they deserved recognition x so thank you Grace x delicious x The Toad rock retreat a must visit. Paul and Linda and of course Mikey my little doggie (so of course dog friendly as well) xxxxx

A very cozy local spot... Cheerful, friendly staff 😁, delicious food 🤤, and reliable Wi-Fi 👍 — what more could you ask for? 🤩 Update: Had another great late lunch at Daily Bread — amazing food, lovely atmosphere, and it's dog-friendly too! 🐕

It’s back at its sparkling best! Bicycle Bakery offers a range of pastries, cakes and more serious savoury options along with some of the best coffee in town. I enjoyed a pain au raisin, my friend a croissant, both really delicious. The team was warm, welcoming and helpful, the atmosphere relaxed, with the bonus of seeing the baker at work in the adjacent kitchen. (It’s hard to leave without a freshly baked loaf and/or a bag of frozen bake-at-home pastries…) BB is maybe an extra 5 minutes’ walk from town and is well worth the walk. Highly recommended.

We are totally spoilt having this pub as our local. We visit at least once a week for either a superb Sunday lunch or a delicious pizza early evening. They have just changed the wine list and I can highly recommend the Provence rose. If you are a vegetarian the hispi cabbage is to die for. Lovely staff can't recommend enough...

Eggs Eleven at The Pantiles is our favourite place for breakfast or brunch. They don’t take bookings but it is certainly worth a short wait or a walk and a second try. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and of high quality. Very reasonably priced. A great menu providing a wide choice and dietary options. The staff are so friendly and efficient despite being very busy. There is outside seating during good weather. Not wheelchair accessible indoors.

What a wonderful party! Thank you Amanda and Rob! The Allotment kindly agreed to host my 50th birthday drinks .Not only did they cater for all of our drinking requirements (English sparkling wine) but Amanda made the most beautiful canapés. Rob said “what food would you like?” We booked a roast dinner for 6 of us and asked for canapés for the rest of the party guests. Sunday is a day for roast dinners so Amanda and Rob explained they could only provide cold buffet. The roast was fabulous! Pork belly, roast beef and chicken supreme to die for! The canapés were just stunning. Beautiful mouthfuls of colour and flavour. No ‘beige buffet’ in sight! in this bigger! EVERYONE was delighted and in awe of the food! Can’t recommend this place enough for drinks, food and amazing landlords!

Very unhygienic. Popped in for a light lunch. The owner came across as very arrogant with sharp answers to simple questions. We ordered two sandwiches. He proceeded to make them behind the counter picking all the ingredients with his hands, no gloves. Answered the phone took money from another customer and carried on constructing our sandwiches tearing the mozzarella with his hands. We will not return. Apart from his lack of hygiene he needs to acquire a more pleasant approach to his customers.

The Guinea did not disappoint. Warmly welcomed by two gentlemen at lunchtime who took our orders swiftly. The food was excellent(plenty of choice), and I would encourage a visit if you want good quality food and great background music. Excellent
