The Guinea offers a unique blend of a bar and restaurant, reminiscent of a lively pub where you can unwind with friends, especially on a Friday night. The staff were attentive and provided prompt service throughout my visit. The flavors of the food I tried were exceptional and truly stood out. In terms of pricing, it's on par with the quality of the food and the vibrant atmosphere, particularly noticeable during my Saturday night visit, which was electrifying. While the noise level can get a bit high, it's to be expected on busy weekend nights. Overall, The Guinea offers a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.

Excellent outside area that hums in Summer, especially after work. Super friendly team that run the place, and always a good vibe among the patrons.

First time visit and I was amazed by the friendly and welcoming front of house. Food was good and menu variety was excellent and our group of 9 all found what they wanted. I will definitely go again!

Our favourite pub. Whether just popping in for a quick pint or a meal the staff are always friendly. Dogs welcome too, always a bonus.

Came for a Sunday roast for Easter Sunday. Was able to book a table really easily online. Our server was incredible, funny, attentive and gave us just the right amount of time & attention. We had two toast dinners and a burger and they were absolutely banging! I think we’ve found our new local. Will 100% be back soon!

We enjoyed the food & atmosphere for Sunday lunch. Just a couple of feedback comments. More gravy needed for roast. The rhubarb crumble didn’t seem ‘held together 😂’ (more deconstructed). Would have preferred it in traditional format. (Some of us didn’t like the nutmeg). But overall very tasty food. We’ll come back soon.

Amazing food, amazing service. Came here on a glum Sunday evening because my husband and I have just had a baby and wanted to go out. I suggested the Guinea. Once we arrived the atmosphere was amazing! Didn’t feel like a Sunday at all! Service was amazing. Food was unreal! My husband is a chef and we were there with his best friend who’s also a chef and the roast was 10/10. I’m very picky with roasts. The chef gave us extra beef and also we had a chat to him. He is lovely. This place has a good future! X

Food was good but 2 very small roast potatoes is not enough tried to say something but the lady said she would come back to me but never did.

We had a fantastic time at the bottomless brunch on Saturday. The team explained how it all worked, they were really helpful with my friends food allergies and they really looked after us. They had a magician who came to the tables to entertain the diners. It was a really great experience and I’d highly recommend it. The food was delicious and the service was great. Also good value for money. Thank you so much guys and gals, we will be back 🥳💖

Didn't eat, so it's 1 star. Wouldn't let me post if I didn't put a star. Sat in the 2 wingback chairs with my friends in front of a recently doused fire. The smell of quenched burnt logs added to the atmosphere. The beer was tasty.

Went for quiz night, it was children books/films themed. Had a brilliant night with tasty food and a great quiz. Willis was fab and full of energy whilst hosting!

Have eaten here before and enjoyed it which was why i booked a table for 6 for a family anniversary! Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn’t an experience I would like to have again…! We all ordered the Sunday roast of differing versions asked whilst ordering that one must come out without gravy and when it arrived covered in gravy. Drinks took forever and had to be chased and whilst food in the most part was good it didn’t arrive with some of the accompaniments (no crackling for pork, no pigs in blankets with any) and when asked sorry run out instead of being told that when ordering. Also having to ask for the veg (twice) whilst food was getting cold, was a disappointing lunch and never once offered an apology! I have received a call today from Jamie apologising for our experience and hoping we wouldn’t be turned off going back. I am grateful of the call and the future offer. Follow-up - we booked a table for 4 this Sunday just gone (18/02/2024) and it was a chalk and cheese visit from the last one. Everything was perfect, from the service, the wine selected, and the 4 roasts ordered including the side of cauliflower cheese. Big thank you to the Guinea team that served us and more in keeping with our previous visit than the last one 10 out 10

Nice little pub, the service was very good. Table service when eating which was really nice. The staff were very friendly. I can only comment on my meal but the other starters and mains looked very good! The drinks selection was pretty good too. The fish was very disappointing. The chips, curry sauce, homemade tartar were really good. But the fish batter was too thick and there was not that much fish so most of the taste was coming from the doughy batter part near the fish. It looked great on the plate but I have eat far better fish in other pubs. But I recommend this nice pub :)

Absolutely loved the bottomless brunch here. Food was amazing and the lady who served us was incredible. Couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We were never without a glass of prosecco or cocktail or both!

Excellent pub quiz - there’s a reason it’s always booked out! We particularly like Jack as a quizmaster! Food is really good, margaritas are great! Only niggle is wine by the glass being so pricey - maybe pop them on as a happy hour option too?? Staff are lovely and definitely bring the fun vibes!

Popped in Sunday afternoon. Food was good and quick even though it was very busy. The guy running the floor was great brilliant with kids. Top marks.

I absolutely love the Guinea. The food is excellent and very well priced! Great range of options for vegetarians and the carnivorous. It depends on what day you go, but sometimes the dining experience can feel more like eating in a loud pub, but it is a pub so that's what you'd expect I suppose. I only state this because other times I've been it's been a very lovely and relaxed environment for a pub lunch.

Jamie and his team created a wonderful event for our Upper 6th leavers dinner, they made us feel so welcome and the attention to detail was superb. They took the stress out of planning and food and service on the night was excellent.

We had a Sunday roast, vegetarian & meat roasts were really tasty and generous on the portions. Staff were helpful and it was lovely and warm on a cold day with the log fire. Would definitely go again.

First visit to The Guinea for Sunday Lunch. 4 of us went. Very pleasant table location, clean and warm environment. Attentive staff taking drinks order and then food. We had mixed roasts and a beef. All food was plentiful and beautifully cooked thank you Chef. The big dish of vegetables was excellent. Meat done to perfection. Our plates were polished clean. Everyone enjoying every morsel. For us it was an excellent experience and we will definitely all 4 us return again. Thank you to each and every member of staff who worked there to make the experience a very positive one. You all should be proud of your hard work. Thank you.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch with my friend. Huge roast followed by a lovely sticky toffee pudding with the best ice cream I’ve tasted. Lovely warm atmosphere, friendly efficient staff, love this place.

Have been coming to the Guinea for years. Staff are great and always accommodating, well organised and attentive, food is great, child friendly, great beer garden and best roasts in RTW. Good selection of beers too. Also hired the venue for an event recently and it was fantastic.

Great pub, I booked on the day and asked for a seat by the fireplace, which they accommodated. The food was delicious - we had the nut roast and the broccoli side. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I give 1 star short for the food only because there wasn't a vegan Yorkshire pudding option with the roast, but honestly overall one of the best pub lunches and atmosphere. Will go again!

Had a fantastic Christmas party at the guinea this weekend. Really recommend the pork spring rolls… and Prosecco! Always friendly and so so accommodating. Definitely one of my favourite pubs in twells. Thanks guys!

Was excellent. Would recommend except for: Make sure the food you order is ‘all in’ for e.g chips are extra with your burger and we were not told. The staff were attentive and treated us well except for one manager who was rude when I called in to book up (to the extent that I nearly cancelled and was going to transfer my booking to the P&P) and was similar in attitude on the day. Bit of a shame. Don’t work in hospitality if you can’t stand people!! That aside, was a fantastic 2 hours 😊

We had a great time, lovely food and service, great atmosphere, good price. I did get a parking ticket, no clear NO parking signs on side roads, I did look as well. Others had tickets on their cars, and it might be a good idea to warn future customers.

We booked for Sunday lunch today, late in the afternoon. When the food arrived , I must admit I was disappointed. The Yorkshire pudding was large, however, it was hardly warm and very hard and crispy, it had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp or something for a while. The same with the roast potatoes, I think I had 2 or 3 pieces, which amounted to less than half a normal potato and they were very crispy and overdone. I had 2 very thin slithers of roast beef, which I thought was hardly an average portion of meat. The vegetables were separate. I don't like parsnips, so I had the equivalent of half a carrot at the most. There was some red cabbage, but barely a spoonfull to share and some green leaves, which I thought was rather tasteless and insignificant. I don't know whether, this was because we had a late booking. But for the full roast price, I felt this certainly not good value for money, compared to other roast dinners at comparative prices. Maybe because we were eating later, we were let down... I did mention this after the meal and my concerns were taken on board.

Quick drink in garden, very nice atmosphere, service a bit slow but it was very busy. The sunday roast looked good, will be back to try it.

Food was great but we had to wait a lot for it to come. The staff was nice and friendly, they explained that they had a problem in the kitchen. The brisket was really nice but the size of the portion too small. I will go again for sure!

Massive delay when we went. Took almost an hour for our food to arrive, however, this was because the rugby was on, but the food was delicious. Fair warning - the portion of food for the brisket is quite small but extremely delicious

Great food, venue and atmosphere but we had to wait one and a half hours for our food. Asked for the service charge to be removed. Would have given five stars otherwise. Still had a good time though.

Roast dinner was great and so was the staff! It was a bit hard getting the attention of someone when we wanted to pay, but to be fair the place was absolutely packed by then. Really nice pub!

we are a local WI group of members and went for a gin tasting event at The Guinea. Food was excellent and Callum arranged a choice of different gins for us to taste with our meal. It was a fun evening and would totally recommend The Guinea

Great to go to a pub as a group and be able to book a table and just have drinks with great service. None of this having to go to the bar and order. Music was fantastic as well, one guy, his guitar and about 50 songs.

I haven’t tried the food yet but it’s our go to when it comes to very good cocktails. Lovely atmosphere and very nice and friendly staff. Absolutely recommended

Our second and last visit. The service was great - poor girl I felt sorry for her. Arrived 2pm - starters arrived 2.30. Burned and dry yorkshire puddings and cold vegetables arrived 3.45 Totally unacceptable. Children were so hungry. No apologies.

You may say I was too hungry. True, I was, but the food was great, service very friendly and fast. Would recommend to check it out. Especially for the sticky toffee pudding. Delicious!

I often go to this pub for lunch, or if I'm in the mood for a quick drink somewhere quiet, then The Guinea is a lovely pub for this. They clearly have a chef who makes an effort and there is often something new on the menu to try while retaining lord of great dishes. The onion bahjis are excellent.

We hosted an event at the Guinea for our wedding. Sol was great at answering all of our questions and emails in the lead up to the day. Everyone loved the buffet food, there was so much of it! Staff on the day were amazing, especially Georgia! Couldn’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much!

The vegan roast was a sham. Tasty but SO TINY for the price … really not what you want to pay over £15 for .. The beer and sweet potato fries I had were excellent though Nice large garden Would go back but would order the began burger and fries over the roast without question
