The Guinea did not disappoint. Warmly welcomed by two gentlemen at lunchtime who took our orders swiftly. The food was excellent(plenty of choice), and I would encourage a visit if you want good quality food and great background music. Excellent

We had my husband’s surprise 40th here and I can’t thank the team enough. Thanks so much for making everything so easy and seamless. We had such a fantastic night and was such amazing atmosphere!

Sat outside for a good 2 hours with noisy babies and indecisive eaters and were treated very well. Had table service as it was quiet, and were looked after very well despite the chaos we wrought. Food was really nice, staff friendly, a lovely lunch!

I booked me and my partner in for a Sunday Roast and have to say that it was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't fault it on any level and I'm really fussy. I had chicken and beef and both were cooked to perfection. The veg was also cooked just right (al dente). The gravy was spot on and we got quite sizable yorkies too. We will return.

Visited The Guinea yesterday for Sunday lunch. We arrived an hour early, but staff kindly accommodated us. Service was extraordinarily good. We had three separate people come to check we had our drinks order taken. Because of our early arrival, we were told food may take up to 35 mins due to staggered service. It actually only took 15 mins. Two different people came to check that everything was OK with our orders, and were super polite. Highly recommend

First time here and honestly the service has been incredible and everyone has been so friendly and extremely helpful. Abbie and Will were so lovely and took time to chat to us and explain the gluten free menu. Will definitely be returning. Everything has been 10/10!!

Five stars for the happy hour half price cocktails. Good selection. Loved that the cocktails were not watered down the way some happy hour drinks are. And especially loved that they were half price instead of 2 for the price of 1. I didn’t want two of the same cocktail at the same time. I wanted different cocktails and one at a time

Best bottomless brunch in Tunbridge wells!

Went for my birthday meal and had a really good time. The staff are super friendly and nice.

Definitely recommend and the service was par excellent.

Always a great meal and atmosphere. Accommodating for groups and children and service always second to none especially with Will!

When I went it was very busy there was almost no place to sit as every other table had been pre booked.

Table booked for 1pm but didn't get food until 2.45pm I know it was busy but tables that came in after us got their food before ours. Had the mixed roast but not impressed a small slice of beef (which was very fatty) pork belly & small chicken leg, roast potatoes could have had another half hours cooking and yorkshire was overcooked and very chewy and I think for £24 was overpriced

Visited for a friends birthday celebration. We all opted for the bottomless brunch, which was fantastic! Great selection of drinks available, staff were all so friendly and actively interested in ensuring we had a great time. The food was great, and overall this pub is one I will visit again, despite being 45mins away from where we live. More pubs need to follow this places magic recipe. The right staff, serving good drinks and good food at a good price! Highly recommend to everyone!!!

Perfect place for Sunday Roast in TW.

I made a late booking for a place to eat in Tunbridge Wells and in all honesty The Guinea was the selection as my immediate choices were not available. You could call this a blessing in disguise as my wife and I enjoyed a great meal, with excellent service in a welcoming ambience. We will certainly be going back.

Spent New Year’s Eve (last night) at the pub . I have to say the food,service and atmosphere was amazing. Considering it was busy I can’t say I waited for more than a couple of minutes for a drink. The band made a good night a great night. Thanks to everyone involved

We had the best time at the guinea yesterday. The service was incredible, very friendly, checked on us when the food arrived and to get us more drinks. The food came quickly, the desserts were lovely, especially as we had a the vegan option! I would highly recommend coming to this pub.

Meal with family group of 10 ages from 7 months to early 60’s on Boxing Day 2024. Service friendly, attentive and first rate. Food was amazing everyone commenting on the quality. Atmosphere friendly and welcoming, do yourself a favour and give them a visit.

A 'must go' if you are in the area. Exceeded all expectations and fantastic host and the support team. Loved it.

Great pub, great selection of beers and ales, great atmosphere

First time visiting and so happy we found The Guinea! The service was 10/10 and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped in. Food was delicious and the beer selection was fab! We will definitely be back next time we visit Tunbridge Wells :)

What a wonderful lunch at The Guinea. We had booked in advance, and our comfortable table was ready and waiting. Several members of staff spoke to us right away to assure us they would look after the two members of our party with special dietary requirements. Lunch was delicious, generous and beautifully presented. The Guinea is a warm, inviting venue with a fire in the grate and plenty of good cheer. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch with my friend. Huge roast followed by a lovely sticky toffee pudding with the best ice cream I’ve tasted. Lovely warm atmosphere, friendly efficient staff, love this place.

Busy as usual but staff aren’t as friendly as they used to be it seems. Food is so overpriced for what you get and not as good quality as used to be. With all that said it wasn’t entirely bad it was just average but we will be coming back. :)

Had a fantastic Christmas party at the guinea this weekend. Really recommend the pork spring rolls… and Prosecco! Always friendly and so so accommodating. Definitely one of my favourite pubs in twells. Thanks guys!

Went for Sunday lunch,only criticism was that the chicken was not great.hardly any meat on the bone.For the price I would expect a better amount.i prefer breast rather than leg.The portion size was great.just a shame the chicken let it down.This would be the only reason I would not go for another Sunday lunch

Vibrant pub with a great menu of food, drinks and events with a first class service ethos.

On a recent visit to the Guinea for a special occasion, we were treated to a glass of fizz on arrival, well wishes and delicious food. There was an issue with the kitchen and our orders arriving at the same time but you’ll notice this is not reflected in my 5 star rating. That’s because we were all impressed on how the team handled it. We were given fresh hot plates of food so half the tables food wasn’t cold or just reheated and we could see that multiple staff members were working together to solve the issue. We had hoped to celebrate our anniversary with a comforting well deserved roast after a long walk and were were given some of the best roasts we’ve ever had full of delicious veg, good portions and epic Yorkshire pudding. The cauliflower cheese is worth the add on. We look forward to heading back to the Guinea on another occasion and bringing further friends and family with us . Great job to all that day and thanks for the nice touch of the fizz.

Booked a table for a large group for drinks on a Friday evening. Table service which was really nice! Lovely staff, always very willing to help and advise on drinks etc. Perfect for groups as there’s plenty of space and a lively atmosphere.

Lovely visit. Sat by the fire on a wet cold day. Was lovely. Sadly the roast was a bit of a let down. Pork was just fat, spuds weren’t very crispy and parsnips were also undercooked. Shame. But lovely pub.

Lovely welcome to this place for Sunday lunch. Chicken was a little bit salty but was explained the joints are in brine before roasting. The beef and veg was absolutely perfect. A virgin mojito was delicious. Lovely attentive staff. Took a little while to get main plates cleared but was packed. Definitely recommend for a lovely venue, atmosphere and food.

First time visit to the Guinea on Sunday for lunch. We booked ahead and pleased we did as it was busy when we arrived. We were offered a nice table inside but opted to go outside to enjoy the September sunshine. Plenty of tables which were nicely spaced. After our order was taken - 2 mixed roasts - the drinks arrived promptly. Lunch arrived in good time, and I have to say it was really very good indeed, very tasty and plenty of it! Alongside all of that the service was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive. A first time visit, but we definitely plan on returning soon, thank you guys!😁

What a brilliant experience. We went for my friends hen do and the manager (Will) was amazing very friendly and always made sure our drinks where full. The whole team were fantastic and everyone pulled together to help out. Would definitely recommend

Had an area booked for a hen do, the food and service was impeccable! Catered amazingly for dietary requirements. Could not fault a thing! Will was extremely helpful and went over and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. Thank you so much.

This is a nice pub in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, and in the winter they light the open fire. Good selection of beers as well.

Visited here with friends in August 2024. The staff were really friendly and able to accomodate our large group of 13 for food. I had the Shrimp Po’Boy which was really good.

Best boozey brunch in Kent. They were super attentive to our table and were happy to accomodate our cake, as well as keeping it a surprise. One of our table wasnt happy with their burger but they turned it around really quickly and they were also helpful with our vegan requests. Also lovely suprise, we had a magician visit our table a few times!

Our waiter Sam was excellent! The drinks were constantly flowing. The prosecco was flowing. The food was very basic (burger and chips) but was fine for what we wanted. It was our friends birthday and we had a chocolate brownie for free with a candle and sang happy Birthday. At the end the manager SOL gave us an extra drink of prosecco even when the time was up! Excellent service! Highly recommend!

Excellent service and attention to detail. Food was superb. We went on a quiet Monday lunchtime and the service was still spot on. Really lovely atmosphere in the garden too. Thank you to the manager in the green shirt who went above and beyond for the three of us. I highly recommend the virgin bottomless brunch as the drinks flowed perfectly. Thank you!

First off, the service here is amazing. We were made to feel welcome immediately despite a very busy Friday evening, and throughout the night we were well taken care of. We had dinner, both choosing the ox rib sandwich. I will say it was nice enough, but I would probably slice the meat a little thinner as well as ask for doneness as it was a tad chewy and rare for me - Although I know if I told them no doubt they’d have fixed me up a new plate. It was just a busy night so we didn’t want to wait, etc. I will also say it’s a bit pricey for the food for what you get in my opinion. Our sandwiches and fries were 16 quid each, and I noticed pollock and chips is about 18 quid which is quite mad considering it’s the cheaper catch. Either way, it’s a great place to hang out and the staff are amazing.

Good range of beers, especially the craft stuff which makes me happy. It was quite busy but the staff and manager were really attentive and helpful, that's really great to see. It's surprising how many establishments in the service industry are no good at actually providing customer service. Keep up the good work.

What can I say my wife and I are very fussy about roast dinners on a Sunday what we had today was amazing food was so good roast potatoes crispy gravy tasty and thick service was so good congratulations to a pub that actually delivers what it promises the bill was a little more than I expected but wow you actually do get what you pay for I am going next week with some pals because it was that good and well worth every penny thank you for a great experience

The team are by far the best in the area. They really go out of their way to help. They have some much patience and genuinely care. We love the Guinea as do the kids. It's our go to. Food is always spot on.

Just happened across this place on an impromptu pub crawl. A quiet night in TW on the whole, loads of places lacked a bit of atmosphere, but the Guinea was giving! Live music and a nice feel to the place although not particularly busy itself.

Warm welcome. Very polite and friendly man seated us. Roast dinner was amazing!! Plenty of it and meet (beef) cooked to perfection. Service fantastic throughout!

The staff were attentive and provided prompt service throughout my visit. The flavors of the food I tried were exceptional and truly stood out. In terms of pricing, it's on par with the quality of the food and the vibrant atmosphere, particularly noticeable during my Saturday night visit, which was electrifying. While the noise level can get a bit high, it's to be expected on busy weekend nights. Overall, The Guinea offers a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.
