Friendly service. But the beer is absurdly overpriced, the decor is cheap and characterless and the loud pop music playing is irritating.

Highly recommend going here for a drink, lovely pub, beautifully decorated. Sat outside in the evening and it was a lovely experience. Lady at the bar was also very welcoming and nice.

Wheelchair accessibility We went with a friend who uses a wheelchair. The landlord (and the customers) couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, setting up a ramp on our arrival and when we left. Really appreciated as we are limited in where we can go, and it's good to know there is somewhere like The Allotment to visit.

I happened to be In Tunbrige Wells on business yesterday, I was following my navigation system when it took me passed The Allotment pub, which I did not know was there. It was lunchtime and a nice day, so I was drawn to the welcoming look and garden, easy to park. I popped In for a drink and something to eat, I can highly recommend this and will certainly be visiting again, when I have more time.

Fantastic pub run by wonderful people. Especially enjoyable in summer when the pub garden is a delightful place to spend a sunny afternoon playing board games. My friend approves!

Ever since Amanda and Rob took over the pub, The Allotment gone from strength to strength for us. An ever so welcoming pub for the community whose staff are so nice and the home cooked food is excellent too. The food also brilliant value for money and we enjoy coming here for all sorts of reasons like catching up with friends or just coming for a couple of beers and small plates on a Sunday afternoon! The events like the quiz night and karaoke are great fun too and i hear that people come from the USA for the quiz too!

Busy and very noisy atmosphere (they need some sound deadening on the walls), good atmosphere none the less. Sevice a bit slow but it was quiz night and busy. Food was a big let down. My burger was just that 2 patties (nice beef), standard bun, and some chips. Not enough burger sauce and no sign of even a salad garnish £13.50, way too much for this. Mrs' chicken with humus and pitta bread (also £13.50) was dry and not very appetising. Shame as it could have been so much better.

All round great experience, with a lovely atmosphere, the service was quick and swift with quiet and warm hospitality to the pub around they basically gave us a feast with the mountains of food was that quickly summoned on to our table for a cheap price why should I say no. It was scrumptious

My family and I (4 people) went for a sunday lunch today and we all agreed that it was the best roast we had ever eaten! I had the vegetarian option as i am vegetarian and it was incredible - delicious mushroom pastry as the main element and lots of incredible trimmings. I also had a side of cauliflower cheese which was hands down the most incredible cauli cheese i have ever eaten. My family all had meat options and enjoyed it equally as much as i enjoyed mine. Desserts and drinks were great too - definitely recommend and will be coming back!!

First time going in, arrived just as they opened. Really nice entrance once inside and welcoming. Food was lovely and the owner very friendly. Decorated tastefully and nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere - has been nicely renovated recently, and the new management and staff seem really friendly. Some good beers on tap, and we enjoy the weekly pub quiz!

My third roast at this fab pub which is under new management. Rob and Amanda have done an incredible job of turning this place into a welcoming, comfortable, friendly local with great wines (something that was very lacking under previous management). Food is always delicious and very reasonably priced. Love love and love and definitely worth 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would’ve posted a photo, but it was too late!! Our roast beef was perfect, along with fantastic Yorkshire pudding. Our whole meal along with cauliflower cheese was amazing. Totally recommend The Allotment. It’s the first time we’ve eaten here, and it really didn’t disappoint, it’s always buzzing when we’ve been in for a drink, and really friendly staff. Thank you The Allotment! .

My girlfriend and I booked in advance to have lunch here today with some friends at 1pm. The barman told us that the chef had gone somewhere and he couldn't get a hold of him. We had a drink and waited half an hour before asking if there had been any luck in locating the chef, absolutely no sign of the chef and no indication when they would return. We left after being told this and spent a large chunk of the afternoon finding somewhere else to eat. I was so embarrassed and frustrated as we wanted to treat our friends to a nice lunch out and when you book a table you expect not to have any issues like this. I will say thank you to the barman who comped our drinks. I have no idea if the chef wasn't there due to a miscommunication or if the chef just doesn't care about their job anymore. Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why the chef left and why they weren't prepped and ready for our booking. Either way, don't expect we'll bother trying to eat here again!

Great refurb of the pub recently. Me and some family members had an amazing roast dinner yesterday, lovely new people running the place! Very warm and welcoming, would highly recommend!

A friend and i came in for roast dinner, they were pretty full but managed to fit us in. The roast was amazing, highly recommend! Staff and service was fantastic!

We went in early on a Saturday and it was initially quiet. Good service and excellent selection of lagers. It has been revamped and looks great.

As a woman on my own I’m always made to feel massively welcome and feel totally at ease going for Sunday lunch on my own, this means so much to me. This establishment is frequented by nobility and royalty, the who's who of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The evening I visited there was a quiz taking place, the intellectual titans on display were phenomenal, like something from a movie. This is a diverse pub, a mixture of age, gender, race, and species. The burger was spectacular, Michelin level. The beer was cold, tasty and served by a beautiful lady called Amanda. There was a man named Robert behind the bar who was both charming and smiley. Highly recommended!

Best white wine I've had in a long time well chilled

Super friendly vibe, with the loveliest owners - was my first time going in years but was made to feel like a local. Great interior & very clean (apparently just underwent a big renovation), with a large outdoor area & heated patio - coming back with my dogs!

Popped in for a pint with friends on a Saturday night. Not overly busy. Lovely staff. (Very) clean loos. A little lacking in atmosphere, but that is probably down to the lack of lots of customers. We will be back!

Lovely little pub. We had their new Mediterranean Sunday Roast which was delicious. Enough like a roast to feel like Sunday, but a bit more interesting with roasted veg and some nice flavourings. Sorry for our noisy dog!

Visited The Allotment for the first time on Friday night as our son has moved into the area. We were surprised and delighted that the pub had started serving Indian Street food. Everything was delicious and we were told was all prepared by a very accomplished Indian chef. We will definitely be visiting again. All the staff were friendly and even our little dog was welcomed! Just had the pleasure to taste the new Indian cuisine at the pub and I have to say it is absolutely delicious. I had the chicken breast burger and it is just unbelievable, so juicy and soft. Definitely coming back for more Indian dishes to try next time

Lovely outdoor beer garden with a good selection of beers on tap. Unfortunately food is currently unavailable (15/8/22) but will hopefully be up and running again soon!

Great staff, great beer choices. They even said we could have deliveroo ordered as the kitchen was closed. Will be back with my mates again.

A welcoming pub with good food. We went Sunday, and the only food you could choose from was a selection of roasts, no other food choices. The roast was good and great quantity. Also do child size roasts which is very helpful. Not many tables free inside so a bit cramped around the side, but plenty of space outside. No play equipment outside for children. But inside they had board games and colouring pencils.

We held a funeral wake for my Aunt at The Allotment and the food was great. Nothing was to much trouble and Gez and his team went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. Would definitely recommend for good service and great food

After over a year of visiting this lovely pub, it’s about time to leave a glowing review. We’ve always been made to feel so welcome here, never had a bad pint & their food is impressive (and extremely reasonable!) From what I hear, the turnaround of this place is remarkable and I can, wholeheartedly, recommend it. Can’t wait for the weather to pick up so we can start enjoying a beer in the garden again!

Beautiful pub with lovely outside garden. I went for dinner with my friend and sat outside. Quick service, friendly staff and the food is amazing! Compliments to the chef whose dough balls (highly recommend!!!) were easily the best I’ve ever had and the lasagne was perfection. Nice easy relaxed atmosphere with beautifully served gin and reasonably priced too. On this occasion I didn’t take my children but will definitely be returning with them as the family atmosphere was wonderful. Dog friendly too so great if your coming through from the park! A must visit!!

First time here. Party of six, visiting as a birthday treat for one of my sons, who loves the Marlowes burgers, now operating here as part of a concession. As expected, the burgers didn’t disappoint. However, the staff were the real highlight, they couldn’t do enough for us, very attentive, friendly and efficient - we really could not have asked for better service. Well done all at The Allotment!

Great pizza and beer, what more could you ask for?

We had our son's post Thanksgiving service meal here. Chris and the team were so helpful with arranging the booking and organisation. The food was absolutely fantastic being a delicious hog roast with all the trimmings and sides you could ever dream of, and the service was exemplary. We are so happy to have had this event at The Allotment Pub.

Went to Allotment Saturday. Great service lovely people. Served by Laura so nice and friendly made you feel welcome and nothing too much trouble. Will be back!

There is a man called Roddy who makes the burgers here. They are excellent. I met a business acquaintance and we both had burgers. There was some spare food for the dog and we all enjoyed it.Later the man called Roddy came out and introduced himself. He is a local chef who makes all of his own burgers. He supplies several local businesses and it is all very tasty.We will return with our friend from Africa and sample more of the Roddy Burger hospitality.Roddy is very talented. The pub was busy with lots of people, a good cross section of society. I enjoyed it and so did the company.

2 minutes from my new home, first visit (Monday 26 October), looks like a V nice pub! 😁

I love this pub! The beer garden is great, the food and drink choices are brilliant but best of all the staff (and patrons) are super friendly and kind. We have a small dog and they're always so nice to us by offering water and dog treats. Couldn't recommend more highly.

We were on Monday evening for dinner. Burgers were delicious, nice portion. Good prices especially with 50% government discount. Very friendly staff.

We came for lunch on a Sunday - even though we hadn't booked they immediately found us and our dog a table and made us totally welcome. We ate two incredible burgers (the Indian lamb burger is UNREAL). Then the chef called Roddy came out to say hi and give us complimentary jam doughnuts that were so fresh they were still warm. The service was amazing and even the other patrons in there were just so friendly. Cannot wait to come back here again - what a gem!

Jezz has done such an amazing job with this place over the year - the garden is stunning and a perfect sun trap which gets the sun until 7ish every day during the summer. A great selection of drinks and food on offer and all for really reasonable prices. Lovely staff, lovely place, proud to call it our local :)

Sorry lost the photos but this pub is one to goto for a Sunday lunch they have just started doing them, i had the pork belly it was cooked to perfection along with the crackling, i saw other meals coming of the kitchen and looked just as good as my meal,. Go on pop in oh and the beer is spot on cold 👌🏾🍺

Under new management so we decided to give the Sunday roast a try. Good decision! Lovely food and brilliant service. It's great that the ingredients are all sourced locally. Main course portion sizes were too big for us but we still managed to find room for one Key Lime Pie (two spoons)!However, the real winner was the Bloody Mary to start. Proper.Recommended!

We had the most wonderful evening at Fontaine Bistro (within the Allotment). As soon as we walked in the welcome was so warm and the bar staff were very knowledgable! The place is pretty and our waitress Abbie was a rare find...friendly, efficient and thoughtful, when I told her I had an allergy to cream she brought some in a separate bowl for my boyfriend ( as we were sharing the pudding ) so he wouldn’t miss out! The food was excellent and at very reasonable prices...it was one of the best meals we have had in ages. I can’t recommend it highly enough and we will be back soon!!!

Myself and my wife were in on Friday night, had a fantastic meal, confit duck was excellent, service was warm and friendly. It’s not called the allotment any more though, so you guys need to change your name on here. Thanks, we’ll be back!
