The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Meads Eastbourne South East

I took my mum there for a belated Mother’s Day treat. We throughly enjoyed the food and will definitely eat here again.

We have been going to UG for years for coffee and brunch/lunch - it is always exceptional with wonderful staff and great food/coffee. Their menu is now particularly innovative and we’ve just had a great evening with one of their pop up burger store UK nights - literally the best burger we’ve ever had, gorgeous picante cocktail and old bay seasoned fries. Such cool vibes with a great playlist, exceptional food and fab service 🩷

Super find in Meads for a nice coffee or tea and cake. All home made. Come here regularly whenever we are in Eastbourne. Opens early in the morning.

Lovely food and really great for kids! They were super friendly and my boys love playing with all the toys before their dinner. Thanks a lot!

Much improved from previous Stage Door. Handsome interior design enhancing the original pub’s fine features. Staff very helpful and friendly. Limited menu, but very tasty food. Ranging from burgers to more sophisticated options. We had the special. Excellent views over the tennis courts. Highly recommend.

Only 2 draft beers on a Saturday night , no water in the toilets to flush or wash your hands , surely you can't run a pub like this !!! This used to be a top pub , what has gone do wrong ,?

I've been here a couple of times before pre theatre and had lovely meals. This time I had a friend visiting for the weekend and brought her here for lunch on Sunday. The place was packed, but we were still able to find a table. The staff are always wonderful and the service is friendly and efficient despite the volume of customers. We enjoyed our main courses and, as it was a special lunch with my friend, we decided we'd have dessert - my choice being one of their fabulous ice cream sundaes. We felt we had to make a special mention about the young man, Jayden, on the ice cream counter who could not have been more courteous and professional. It felt like he'd been helping customers for years, although we discovered he was only in his teens and a relatively new addition to the team. We'll be back again soon.

Fui a buscar un chocolate caliente para llevar y me lo sirvió un chico joven, no muy educado y muy miserable, pagué 2. 90! ! ! ! ¡Si hubiera sabido, habría dicho que no, y luego lo probé y fue horrible! ! ! Iba a recuperarlo y recuperar mi dinero, pero entonces no creo que el joven se haya ocupado de la situación muy bien, así que decidí dejarlo.

We’d been before and had a nice experience, but this time it was just awful. It was very busy so we expected to have to wait a little longer than normal, but clearly the staff were just overwhelmed by how busy it was. The large table in the window was free so we sat there. Only trouble was it was piled high with plates, cups, and left-over food from previous customers. On ordering at the counter we asked for it to be cleared when they had a moment. It became obvious that moment would never come so eventually we cleared it ourselves and dumped it all on another table. We asked for the still dirty table to be wiped but that wasn’t going to happen so we asked for a cloth and did it ourselves. We patiently waited, and waited and waited some more for our food to arrive. At some point we were informed that some of what we ordered was no longer available so we revised the order to something much simpler, and waited. Still nothing. In the meantime lots of takeaway customers arrived and left with their food. We waited some more. Some people at a nearby table seemed to be having a similar experience and actually gave up and got their money back. We enquired about our order more than once by the way. Eventually we got exasperated and told the staff that if they hadn’t yet started our order that we’d just get a refund and leave, only to have the member of staff doing the cooking shout at us “ don’t you want it now?” And then something about it not being her fault because the counter staff had done something wrong with the order tickets. Finally we got some food. Not what we had ordered originally but fine. It’s close to where we live, but we won’t be back. I don’t wish the place any ill will, but there are so many other places in Eastbourne, just as good, which can cope with being busy ( a sunny Sunday afternoon in August, who’d have thought ) to have to put up with this.

Upstairs in C@H. I had a lovely slice of coffee cake and a pot of tea. Perfect for a quick pitstop. Very reasonable price. Friendly service, background music catering for trad style tearooms, but not too intrusive. Tables clean. Not at all hurried.

I used this bakery twice, staff could be friendlier. I had a heated cheese and onion pasty and caramel slice, both were yummy (£5 so bit expensive). The caramel slice was so nice I went back to get more another day.

We paid £8.80 for a latte and a hot chocolate, coffee was sub standard from a machine and the hot chocolate was undrinkable, we had to throw it away.

Awful.. We use to always meet here for lunch and a girls catch-up. Been today. Menu has completely changed and not for the better. Kitchen closed….now 2 poor girls having to take the orders, make the drinks and the food then deliver to the tables. The one star I have given is purely for them. They were working so hard I hope they are well rewarded. Two other tables heard us talking and said they will also not be returning. Such a shame.
