Popped into this nice cafe on Saturday, feeling thirsty. Lovely service from friendly staff. The loose leaf tea selection was a delight for someone who is an avid tea drinker. I chose Darjeeling. It was served in a lovely china teapot with a warmed china tea cup and saucer plus even a warmed lid for the loose leaf paper bag. There was even a timer! Joy!

Pretty little spot, we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of choice of cakes and beautifully freshly baked scones. Will definitely return.

Really fabulous food, lots of choice and all made from scratch. Can’t fault the staff, they are friendly and attentive and we were made to feel like locals. Will be back and recommend anyone to try this pub, you won’t be disappointed.

So this review is for my recent mail order of coffee beans - Celestial and Tiger Stripes blend. I have ordered ground in the past but we’ve now moved to grinding our own beans. Tried both these now and they are absolutely lovely. The tiger stripes in particular is gorgeous! They put commercial supermarket blends to shame and it’s a much better experience than a high st chain. The delivery was swift as well. Thank you.

I visited the cafe in Liss for a business meeting. It is just around the corner from the railway station, so it is easy to get to. The food was very good. Two had a vegetarian opinion, but I had the full English breakfast. The atmosphere was good, as was the decor. With friendly staff. The toilets were clean and well separated from the cafe's eating area and kitchen, which is definitely a good thing.

We intended to eat at the cafe nearby but they were full so ended at The Star. So glad we did. the food was excellent and nice and hot. the staff were helpful and not expensive at all. Well worth a visit.

A unpleasant experience today. The waitress was thoroughly unpleasant. They missed food off our order the salmon was undercooked and she gave me caffeinated coffee when I asked for decaf. If I drink caffeinated I have a physical allergic reaction to it so all in all not great. Will not be returning.

We've taken to lunching here whenever we have a trip up to Petersfield as their Lasagne is delicious. Good Coffee. Service can be a bit chaotic when busy, but it is popular so expect that. We always pick up a couple of extras for a Sunday night treat & the deli has some interesting items to purchase too. Great refill / natural products shop a couple of doors down too.

Great ambience in this bar/cafe. Excellent range of food on the menu. Friendly service. Seemed popular with local regulars.

To start on a positive note the food is pretty good. The annoying menopausal staff tried to move us 3 times and waited for us to move to another spot before telling us we can't sit there because we have a dog (the place she told us to go to) and then we end up sitting next to the food prep room anyway. And if you have ADHD or and audio issues that stupid bell 🔔 above the door will drive you mental.

Lovely place to have coffee and cake during a long walk, and the meals looked good too.

What an amazing brunch! Food was divine. Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. A touch expensive but worth it. We’ll be back again and again I’m sure.

I booked the snug for our book club annual lunch. I had been here before and it was fine. First of all there was no coffee machine so we were offered a weak cafatiere, which later on was awful and spoilt our affogatos. Service was slow and the chips were soggy and looked like sliced jacket potatoes. Sorry to complain but other guests also said they wouldn’t return and neither will I.
