Friendly staff and lovely setting. We thought the coffees were expensive though and in paper cups, even though we were sitting inside.

The weather in this area has been pretty grey and wet lately, so it was good to take advantage of a better day to visit the garden centre/nursery and we decided to lunch whilst we were there. The Potting Shed is bright and welcoming, and on a busy day, we were lucky to find a free table. There is an excellent varied regular menu, but we opted for two of the quiche daily choices which were very good. They came with well presented side salad. Friendly, efficient staff added to our experience and we will be back.

Popped in for coffee. Service a bit too slow. This seems to be one of those places where the staff are all busy doing something but whatever it is doesn't result in simple things being done quickly. Other similar establishments locally do not suffer from this malaise, so are a better choice

We forgot to order garlic bread and as the chef Jay dropped our meals off he went and got the garlic bread straight on for us, we then paid, I thought that was quality

Just called in on the spare of the moment, Monday night is burger night, amazing value, two well presented, well cooked burgers, each with a lovely basket of fries, served with a smile, garlic ciabata starter, washed down with a pint of Guinness (had to on Patrick's night) and a soft drink for the wife, all for under £40. We've eaten here 3 or 4 times and not been disappointed. Lovely friendly atmosphere and made to feel very welcome.

Only visited and ate at the restaurant for lunch. Lovely cosy little place with warm welcome. Restaurant separated from the bar, where a log fire burns, by an archway. Simple, well cooked and mostly locally sourced. Horrendously expensively priced wines.

Absolutely beautiful food and 100% gluten free. Cannot recommend enough if in the area, especially if you are looking for somewhere gluten free. I had chicken, ham and leek pie, then sticky toffee pudding for dessert. My mum had fish pie and apple crumble. The food was the best pub food I’ve ever had even pre gluten intolerance. Chef was incredibly friendly and explained the kitchen is fully gluten free. Explained lots that’s coming up for them as a business too. 100% worth the visit!
