Food was ok but our experience was ruined by poor service. Went in & were just told “table 5” & not shown where this was before asking. No information given on whether we go up to order or someone comes to us & wasn’t until we stood up to go ask that someone came over. When given drinks there was no “cappuccino?” to place in front of right person so waitress just placed my drink in front of my partner? But the main issue was I asked for ketchup & the waitress acknowledged this but then just went off doing other things like taking orders etc while I’m sitting there & my food is getting cold. She even then went to serve the people next to us which is when I raised it again & she had the worst attitude making me feel like the biggest inconvenience requesting this. We felt very uncomfortable from this point & couldn’t wait to leave. Won’t be going back!

I've either been deprived of breakfast burritos for too many years or this is the best burrito I've ever had (or both). Excellent flavors, the bright green chili sauce cuts right through all the savory bits, and the chorizo had just the right crisp and spice. My wife's mushrooms on toast were also excellent, and we had several coffees to put ourselves back together after an early flight. Excellent spot.

2025 update. Came early today for breakfast with the kids, no wait for table right decision to come early. My favourite place for breakfast for sure. Love the pancakes and the shakes. Good coffee too. Great staff, friendly, efficient quick service. Love the arrangement for table service and can then pay bill via qr code if want too...Came for Mother's day breakfast it was extremely busy the signs of a good place. We were able to park outside on the road. We were squeezed in at our request but could have waited for a larger table if we had wanted. Service was very quick and efficient the servers were polite and attentive even though it was clear they were busy. I had a thick milkshake which was delicious and very filling. We had breakfast pancakes which were good, I love the pancakes here they are so fluffy what do they put in them? Suet? Anyway would recommend the only thing that let it down is the breakfast was drenched in syrup and made it far too sweet I would have preferred syrup on the side to pour to taste. Nevertheless I will return to sample more of the delicious menu choices.

Staff and service were fantastic. All very friendly and attentive. I had the fried chicken pancakes, a lot of food and pancakes were fantastic. Chicken could have done with more seasoning for my liking. Partner had the American breakfast, and this was lovely. Great presentation. Was a little too loud inside for myself, which made it slightly hard to have a conversation.

Food and atmosphere 10/10. However the service was a little slow and also the waitress spoke so quietly. Had to ask her for a menu. Looked like it was a problem that we had 2 babies and pushchairs. Also no nappy bin in a baby changing.

This restaurant is a real hidden gem! Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Super great service and the food is amazing! I have coeliac disease and they are always knowledgeable about what I can and can’t have and really put me at ease.

We popped in for lunch on Good Friday and were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. All the ladies who showed us to our seats, took our order and served us were friendly, polite and nothing was too much for them. The coffee was exactly how I ordered it (and I am fussy!) and the food came quickly and tasted lovely. I enjoyed the lamb loaded tater tots and my husband, had a satisfying chicken wrap. I thoroughly recommend Josie’s in Petersfield!

I had been recommended this restaurant by family as being a nice place to eat. I took my granddaughter for a lunchtime snack and drink. We ordered toasted sandwiches, my grandaughter ham and cheese and myself tuna. We waited a good 30 minutes for the toasties to arrive. They could not have been more boring looking, barely toasted bread, and the tuna one very devoid of filling and poorly presented on the plate with a small paper cup of coleslaw that was falling out of its container. My granddaughters came without the ham which I didn’t realise until she told me after we had left.Having been recomended this chain I have no intention of returning in the future, very overpriced for the quality of food we received.Staff generally looked fed up with the look that it was all too much for them.

Fast service, fabulous food and friendly staff. Would highly recommend. Brilliant atmosphere with clean environment including toilets. We will be back!

Lovely breakfast, worth the drive up from Plymouth last night!

Coffee was absolutely fantastic. We had the pancakes which were great. My only criticism was that the fried chicken was a little dry on the inside. Very friendly service and cool atmosphere.

We went based on the reviews, as other reviews have stated there are no reservations offered but when we arrived and told it would be about 20 minutes wait, which we were happy with, they take your name and mobile number and add you to a wait list and you get a text when the table is ready, the system works well. We both had the American breakfast and it was nice, the pancake is very thick, the tater tots are mini hash browns but there are too many of them. We would return, there are other branches we'll try but will try something else on the menu. Staff here were excellent.

One of the few Cafés open until 4pn on Sunday! Had the small English breakfast and American breakfast - both excellent. Plus proper loose leaf tea in a pot!

Always warm and friendly service

The Latte I had was one of the worst Latte's I have ever tasted, it has not flavour/taste at all, even adding sugar did not save it. I also ordered the 'Biggie' with scrambled eggs. These eggs were not cooked completely, was still runny. The sausage was not nice at all, had now real taste, the only thing going for it was that it was cooked. The beans were cold – how do you get something this simple so wrong. The half-tomato was very nice but not very warm, like the bacon – really nice but again cold. Large mushroom was a delight; also, the bread/toast was wonderful. I have to say that I will never be eating at this place again.

Food and drinks were really good, service good. Only negative was that the table was dirty.

Excellent food and service, only slight niggle was that the bacon on the full cooked brekkie was over done. There's crispy and there's cremated and I lean towards the former myself.

Our visit was during half term so it was very busy with families. We had to wait for a table (30mins) they sent us a txt notification when the table was available. The food was nice and very filling, I had Josies toasted club sandwich and my wife had a Breakfast Taco, Halloumi. The staff were friendly. There was only one toilet and it was dirty and the lock didn’t work properly.

Absolutely love Josie's! We used to live near the Bishops Waltham branch but now luckily live near Petersfield branch. We visited Petersfield branch a few Sundays ago, the kids enjoyed a kids breakfast and both adults really enjoyed the brunch burrito, which I highly recommend. We also brought some beans home with us to enjoy at home. Such a lovely place for brunch, to enjoy a coffee and milkshake!

Food poisoning. We went yesterday for lunch, my 3 year old has been up all night vomiting, from 11pm until 5am and me and my partner are extremely unwell also. We definitely got food poisoning from here and won’t be coming back.

Popped in for a quick coffee as was in the area and it was one of the few places that was open ofter 4. Enthusiastic and genuinely friendly staff, tasty coffee, and lovely traybakes. The milkshakes looked super tasty, and will definitely be back to try the pancakes 🥞

Josie's had been recommended to me and I can see why. You are greeted on arrival and service was friendly and prompt. Nothing is too much trouble. Gorgeous food I had a delicious ham and cheese toasties with fries My daughter went for the fruit pancakes which looked and tasted amazing. I will definitely be back soon!
