Went for my birthday last night, got seated straight away even though we were early which was nice. We ordered our drinks, all was good as we were waiting for our friend. When she turned up we ordered our food. It wasn't overally busy, but the pizza came out burnt. Noone checked to see if we were all okay. All the other tapas dishes were lovely. We were then asked if we would like dessert and we said we will look at the menu (this was 2140) they never came back to see if we wanted dessert (it was my birthday, I wanted dessert 😂). Time past and we wanted to leave, my friend was waving at the staff who were being spoken to by what seemed like the managed for half an hour. It got to half 10, we got up and went to the till where all of a sudden they started working again.... The atmosphere was lovely, but there's definitely room for improvement. I was disappointed.

My mother booked a lunch time table to celebrate her 81st birthday at this restaurant with the family. It was immediately apparent that it was not a good choice given the loud music on arrival, which became even worse when a DJ arrived with a ridiculously loud sound system. We had not been informed that the DJ would be present when booking and could see no reference to this on the website. The food is a mixture of tapas style dishes, pizzas and other main courses. We all chose pizzas and non-sharing dishes but the food was still served gradually, as if it was tapas. This meant that three of us had finished our meals before some of the pizzas arrived. My 85 year old father was left waiting a full 45 minutes with no food, despite numerous chases, meaning he was eating after everyone else had finished. The food itself was pleasant enough, but the drinks left much to be desired, with several being unavailable. My niece was served "pomegranate juice" which was brown. The worst however were the coffees. These proved to be undrinkable and I can only assume that there was a fault with the machine or else there was cleaning fluid in them. The staff seemed young and inexperienced and were totally unapologetic, seemingly oblivious to the problems. I seldom, if ever, leave a bad review (so please don't disregard my comments, thinking I always complain) but I feel I need to warn others that this restaurant is not suitable for family events and does not seem well run. Two of my mother's friends subsequently told her they had been in and found it to be truly awful. It's a pity we didn't know this in advance, as birthday celebrations should be special, especially for seniors.

The worst pizza l have ever had, impossible to eat that a rock hard barely any ingredients on, covered on a thick (chunks) of tomato sauce. Never ever again back there.

Great food, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere, our waitress Lucy was lovely, very helpful and fun conversation, even asked the kitchen about a query we had over ingredients, management make sure you keep hold of her, she's an asset.

Great food, great German beers, very warm welcome. Had a lovely family meal, great to share all the different dishes which came out gradually which gave us plenty of time to taste them without them all going cold

What a fab place! Vegetarian food options were varied and there was a gluten free menu available with a really good choice. Amazing range of cocktails and really friendly service. Highly recommended.

What a great local pub, visiting town and saw this place so dropped in. Nothing too much trouble, service and hospitality you just don’t find these days. Well done to the staff for making me feel welcome. Beer great too and food looks tasty as well

Such a high quality place for dining! The food was absolutely delicious, I had a Tune Steak and Tomato And Muzzarela Salad. Everything was fresh, tasty, and felt with good energy. The place offers a very welcoming hospitality and nice atmosphere, together with a well trained and smiley staff, you get a gorgeous experience! 5 Stars!

First time at 4 London Road and very impressed with the whole experience. Lovely greeting from Amy when we arrived and great service throughout. Even on a Thu night the place had a great vibe/atmosphere. Great menu choices and food was excellent, well prepared, well cooked and nicely presented. Made a nice change to go to to an independent run place instead of your standard chain restaurants. Thoroughly recommend!!

Lovely meal, we had tapas and also shared a pizza. The tapas are a lot more filling than they look, so don't overdo it. We didn't really need the pizza. Great atmosphere and the serving staff were excellent.

Birthday meal for my daughter. The four of us selected a dozen or so plates, all of which arrived fairly quickly and, in some cases, very hot. The food was very tasty. Slight negative comment. I had the Barbcoa Brisket, which was not like any brisket I had in the past. It was very firm, almost like it had been compressed. Having said that, the flavour was good. We all left stuffed to the gills and will definitely be back.

Literally every dish was over seasoned , id imagine that's why there's no salt on the tables . Ordered the tuna steak (served rare) over cooked twice , id imagine it's a frozen product. Did email my feedback direct

Went for early lunch food took a while to arrive trouble with ovens but many apologies. Once arrived enjoyed very much with large portions. Love their pizzas

Shame was recommended to us, but unfortunately I left a little disappointed. Food was tasty but portions were small even I know it was tapas but considering the price per plate I would have expected more. We had crab. One piece not good. Also felt we were pushed about buying more drinks. Was asked loads Sorry but don't believe I will return shame.

Good choice of tapas style food, all freshly prepared, dishes brought out when they're ready, I highly recommend the sharing board from the 'starter' menu, loved it and there was plenty of it - the chutney was delicious (had to fight the wife for it). Staff were pleasant and attentive, note that service is not included. Pricing was about average, £35 a head including a cocktail for the missus and several soft drinks. Parking in the vicinity, across the road about 30 yards down from the roundabout you will find a car park which is free for 2 hours. We went in February but plan on returning for a summer's evening session, although they have outdoor seating it's next to the road and I'll be interested to see if that works.

We have been here many times before and has always been a favourite. However this time the food was a bit hit and miss. We ordered 3 Patatas bravas dishes 1 was good the others were bland, lacking in paprika and colour. We also order 3 calamari dishes, 1 was okay, 1 was awful pale, watery, and seemed under cooked, and thankfully the other didn't turn up. We also had 2 teriyaki pork , one looked like soup, the other was okay, they certainly werent recognisable as the same dish. We did have some good dishes the chicken skewers, hummus, nachos and chicken goujons were all lovely. I feel that someone needs to be checking what is coming out of the kitchen. Definitely won't be a first choice for us again sadly.

We have had dinner and lunch here many times as we live close and it’s always great! Not only are the food and drinks good but the service and hospitality we are shown with or without a reservations is unmatched. We had dinner with our daughter tonight and our waitress was lovely and so was everyone else. Thank you for a great meal and a lovely evening.

This is / was our local but it's always been a flip of the coin if you get a decent night out or not. Tonight, we were told we couldn't order wine as we had ordered a cocktail... not sure why, never had this before nor anywhere else. Then had to practically beg for our wine long into our meal and far after our cocktail was finished. This place is very hit and miss with service and they often lose out to us financially due to poor service or incompetent staff / no staff / slack waiting times etc., we don't even mind the fact the tapas cost £12 to £15 each for a small plate of food! But we have now decided it makes more sense to pay to get a taxi elsewhere, it will cost more for sure but we will not be wondering whether or not its going to be a good night for staff, service or food! I have no idea how this place gets so many high stars, maybe not enough people reporting the bad experiences just because they are nice people I guess but for us at least, enough is enough.

Was good a few years ago but has gone downhill now. Awful, overpriced food cooked by incompetent youngsters, avoid.

A really fun place to eat out. We ordered lots of dishes to share. Fantastic cocktail menu, I was driving but even the mocktails were delicious. Nice setting, warm and cosy. Great service, friendly staff. It wasn't at all what I expected and I will definitely be going back soon.

I came with some work colleagues it was busy and the music was very loud. It has a trendy feel about it and I must say the Christmas decorations were lovely. Toilets upstairs were so so, urine on the floor. The period features in the building were beautiful I loved the fireplace. The other clientele were off putting I guess they are attracted to the trendiness and vibe of the place, loud, shouty, obnoxious, and not discouraged by the staff. Our table was for 8pm and our food order was not taken until 8.50pm. The first set of drinks brought to us were not ours, water was forgotten and I had to remind. Out of the 3 cocktails I sampled two were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed them. My colleagues also enjoyed their drinks. Tapas food came out as it was ready and I liked this, it was a hit and miss bag on the food, some tasty bits some things not so or quality seemed lacking. No serving spoons brought with the dishes and had to ask for some no steak knives and as the meat was tough and chewy they were needed. A cup of tea forgotten later had to be asked for again. All and all it was an ok meal but not amazing food and bits lacking on the service side, some polishing needed. For younger adults with different expectations I can see why they rate it. I was pleasantly surprised however when the bill came, averaged at £55 per head which is extremely reasonable.

Wow the food was so bland it’s actually ridiculous and for the price. New menu design is horrible, a comic theme.

Visited on a Monday night for a light dinner. Fairy busy and buzzy feel, very popular. Music from speakers a little loud though. Service excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Menu explained and service well paced. Food is where I have an issue. I didn't really enjoy any of it and wonder based on reviews if I just had a bad experience. Bread with balsamic, parmesan, and olive oil. The vinegar, oil, and cheese was mixed together into a weird cold unpleasant emulsion that didn't really stick to the bread. Impossible to tell if it was good quality oil, vinegar, cheese. I think individual dips of oil and vinegar with cheese to sprinkle might work better where diners can mix and dip the various parts depending on taste. Spicy crispy chicken probably the best of the dishes we tried but tasted about the same as any crispy chicken dish you'd order at any British Chinese restaurant. Not bad, not great, just fine. Pulled Pork Tacos. Not a taco. A flat "taco", not a folded shell that ingredients fell off of. Pork was well cooked and generously portioned, but lacked seasoning. Guacamole wasn't fresh, lacked any acid and tasted dead which mixed with the refried beans added to a stodgy mouth feel. Each bite lacked balance of flavour Garlic and Ginger Pork. Pleasant spiced sauce, good ginger flavour but a bit sweet. Pork was overcooked and a little dry. Perhaps fewer larger chunks would help as the smaller chunks continued to (over)cook in the hot plate. Again, like an average Chinese takeaway dish. Overall, I think I expected more for the money based on reviews and I'm disappointed I didn't have the experience so many other diners clearly enjoyed.

Fantastic atmosphere, amazing staff that work as real team and are really attentive without being in your face. Food and drink were great, love this place. Only criticism from wife were the tall stools that her short legs couldn't reach the stand on! If that's the worse thing... Highly recommended and they do have ordinary chairs.

Out of guacamole, which was a shame for a tapas themed restaurant. But the food and atmosphere were terrific and we'll be going back again and again because of the many many delicious menus choices!!

Girls night out. If you like cocktails, you will love this place. Quite pricey, but great if you want to spoil yourself. Good menu, lots to choose from. Don't go here if you after a quiet romantic night out, more of a hip, loud vibe, but lots of fun!

Great overall experience, food and drink reasonably price and tasty. Only down fall is the kitchen forgetting a dish that was later charged onto the bill.

Aside from difficulty parking the location is fairly nice and easy to find. The selection of food was good, though I would have liked a dessert option or two. Customer service cannot be faulted.

What a great place to eat,everything perfect from being greeted at the door to leaving. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tapas and Tunes on Sunday, great food, great music and attentive staff. The atmosphere was buzzing, Paul and the whole team deserve the highest praise for their efforts.

Absolutely amazing, service .with a slice of fantastic. Cocktails are out of this world , and food is top quality. I felt right at home and welcome with open arms. This is great place in a little corner of Hordean. If you haven't been, your missing out . I will definitely be visiting again very soon .

Loved this place. Went 3 times in 2 weeks!

We had takeaway from here a few weeks ago (and many times before!) and it is always a treat. Cajun lamb rump, spicy Tuna tacos and mushroom pil-pil always goes down well! We'll be back soon!

Absolutely terrible slow service, waited for almost 40 minutes to get our food which should have been quicker in a quiet time, it was cold and did not deserve the amount, simply put, expensive rubbish, DONT GO THERE!!!!

Visited recently with family. Food is absolutely delicious, huge portion sizes and very filling. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Only small criticism was the calamari was a little too greasy for us. Everything else was amazing, and will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in the area.

Quite expensive for tapas and drinks. Service was terrible, had a group meal and one side of the table finished their meal before the other side had their 1st dish out! The Atmosphere was great, lots of Christmas works do's!

Wouldn't really call this food. The only redeeming factor was the decent atmosphere. Food was dead and had a very weird fusion of cuisines. Staff got confused when we asked for ketchup and mayonnaise. Would not recommend tbh ...

We had a fabulous evening here. Great food, wine and of course company. Menu is vast, loads of tapas options to choose from and all delish!! Thank you Elio, fab night had, and thank you for the salted caramel liqueur to finish!! Perfect!

I want to start of by saying the service here is one of the best. We came with 6 adults abd 6 babies. They were happy for us to take our time but made sure we all had drinks the whole time. The food is very lovely and tastes delicouis. The resturant is more on the pricer side as it is tapas dishes rather than a meal. The staff are very friebdly and helpful. I would reccommend to cone her for brunch or a light bite and drinks.

Took my mum here today for an early Mother’s Day lunch treat and for the first time and we absolutely loved it. Our server, Vinny, was very friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome, as did the other members of staff. As for the food, it all tasted so fresh and delicious and there is a fantastic amount of choices for vegetarians. Although for tapas, it was quite pricey, so be advised if you’re looking for a more economic place to eat. The decor of the place is so wonderful and really cool. We sat at a table that had a glass floor that overlooked a cellar, which was rather impressive!

Absolutely outstanding little restaurant/bar! The seats were really comfortable, the tables were clean, the menu varied and good-value, and the atmosphere was so relaxed and enjoyable! The decor was beautiful, the staff cheerful and delightful providing quick and satisfying service. They were helpful and provided everything with a smile! The food was exquisite, made with such care and purpose, and the chefs have to be noted as superb! The only downside was no parking on site as the pub next door and garage behind have all available spaces saved out back and on the side. There is, however, a small public car park just opposite adjacent to the doctors and pharmacy. Overall, if you ever have the opportunity, I can not suggest visiting here enough for a sublime meal and wonderful customer service!

Attentive service. No long waits. Good food

It was a nice place here, very busy and quite loud due to this. Cocktails were nice, but the food wasn't as good as hoped for. The banana plantain and katsu was very salty. The rest of the food - pizza, teriyaki pork, calamari, chorizo was just okay and the halloumi was overcooked. Waitress was lovely, but could tell she was extremely busy. Feel like it would be better to go in the daytime, rather than a Friday night.

Outstanding - we had the blackened Cajun cod, the Parmesan bread, beef tacos, potatas bravas, banana blossom deep fried, tomato salad and various cocktails then brownie and profiterole for dessert. We loved the caramel salted espresso martini and the key lime pie martini. Service was impeccable - prompt, attentive and polite staff - thank you. Great venue, fab interior and we really liked the music! We would definitely return!

Table booked for noon with the intentions of having a few cocktails & tapas as have done many times before. Always love the food and drinks and have a great time however when we arrived we were told our table needed to be back by 2pm (this wasn’t said at the time of the booking). The menu that was on the table was a ‘brunch’ menu which mainly consisted of eggs, corned beef and pancakes - not what you expect when you’re going out for tapas and cocktails. One of the members of staff asked to take a drinks order and we said no thank you were going to leave. The manager then sarcastically said as we left ‘well bye then’. So upset and disappointed.

Great range of vegan food that tastes amazing and good size portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant customer service.
